  1. That is fer once sumbody who actually goes to games - No "carefree" though.
  2. The "atmosphere" at TCS is poor becos - Scottish Football regulations totally deter the making of an atmosphere - the TCS stewards are IMHO the worst in the SPL - they single people out and try and make life a misery for them - they really do antagonise - why are they not like Hearts or Midden where the stewards concentrate their efforts on the Away supports. I have always felt that Section G need a "leader" or a couple of head the balls - but would they be targetted ? When there is a few more pissed up senior citizens the singing prevails. But when the lads start off the North stand "sweetie rustlers" prevail. I also note that there are pockets of singers dotted all over the North Stand but unless you have a concentrated mass it doesnt work - but look what feckin happened when they put us all together !! Yes alcohol does help - and **** the kids with the sweary words - like Caley D says they no all the feckin words already. Long live and prrosper the yoof of Section G - dont let the bestards get ya down. I must arrange that home trip - and a lawyer. :thumb04:
  3. Totally agree with that myself. If I still lived in Sneck I would certainly be a season ticket holder. Living where I do I try to do my best to support the team at away matches and an occasional trip north for a home game. Like so much else it's an expensive day with the cost of fuel to be taken into account. I would have to totally agree - if (or when) I return to Sneck I will try to go to every game - even the reserves. I have read with some interest the debates as to whether you are a "fan" or a "supporter". I would say that a TRUE "fan" is the "diehard" - the one who stays on no matter what - now I would put maself in that category. Most of the "diehards" have been there since day one and can recall the joys of going away to Stranraer or Berwick or Dumfries in midweek. Many have left sneck and can only be part timers these days. Then there are the "fans" who came from the emergence of ICT and the media rush of the cup exploits. Many were part time diehards and many have departed. Perhaps with the younger generation - they are spoilt - and there is the expectancy of SPL fotball, of victories and big games, cup runs, Europe - who knows - would they still be there if we hit the SFL again. And then there is the club - penny pinching is the name of the game - we have to make every penny count so hiking the price may sound / feel like good business but we have to attract newcomers with "freebies" - especially the kids. We could certainly do better PR. the behaviour of our management team in recent seasons has not helped our image and we are as bad as anybody in Scotland at keeping the fans in the dark. And unfortunately the glory hunting fascination of the Old Filth still prevails. Some sing - I am Caley till I die - I live and breathe it.
  4. Jimmie Buff and he's a winger.
  5. Have to disagree wiv that - Rankin was playing well when he got the recall last season - but I suppose that shegging Brews burd (alledgedly) and having a fisty cuff with Park didnt help.
  6. I bet that it is still feckin freezing in late August. But I hope that Brew puts out a decent team here as we have been missing our cup exploits fer too many seasons now.
  7. Keogh's nether regions have never been the same since the Squirrell incident - but it is a shame seeing him end up on the rigs with all the other dead beats.
  8. Get the feckin T- shirts out of the cupboard.
  9. It will be interesting to see the faces in the traditional away support next weekend. As a "part timer" I have to admit that the pennies being spent are getting more and more and that may also be a reason for the central belters and the journey North. Petrol is more expensive, match entry is more expensive and grub at the grounds and en route is more expensive. I also have to admit that the standard of play - both ours and others last season was woeful at times. The away days simply aint what they used to be.
  10. Birdog - I dont respond to you becos I know that you agree with me and adulate me like most. I only take on the individuals who clearly disagree.
  11. Question - Why is it that week after week we have the same feckin comments about games and the only **** who doesnt appear to see it is Brewster ?
  12. I think that you will find that your link doesnt work plus this is present day news and not fer an old feckin thread - you really are becoming a feckin bore. Read between the feckin lines mun. My reason for bringing this up again is in the hope that it could commence debate - if he isnt good enuff fer us why are Leeds so interested - if he signs for them what does that say. Was he shunned by ICT becos he didnt make the grade in the footballing sense but was he yet another who was out of our league financially. And again no info. from the club. It looks like we are condemned to the bargain basement - and if so - what happened to the Niculae transfer monies and his Euro appearance bonuses.
  13. I see that Leeds are interested ? Leeds United have handed a trial to Dutchman Kiran Bechan, skysports.com understands. The pacey winger is currently with Spanish outfit Hercules and previously trained with Inverness Caledonian Thistle earlier this month. Now Leeds Gary McAllister is giving Bechan a chance to win a move to Elland Road. Bechan began his career at Ajax but he played just once for the Amsterdam giants, before stints with Sparta Rotterdam, FC Groningen and Den Bosch. He moved to Spain last year but only played nine times.
  14. As long as he keeps up with his innoculations - the RSPCA will maintain his registration.
  15. We went for Bamba at the start of last seasons and could not agree on the finances. Why dont we stick Blobby Man in the feckin nets - rite on the feckin goal line - judging by the piccies it would be just as effective to play CaleyD or Scotty but a lot feckin cheaper too.
  16. Dont feckin cheer but dont feckin boo - I would give him a polite clap as the poor **** was driven out and treated as badly as Wyness.
  17. Peter missed this one of Jimmy Calderwood.

Proctor, Munro and Duncan out - **** me - at least we may be getting all the bad luck out of the system early doors. But it could have been better than facing Nish and Fletcher and an attacking side. I suapect that Brew may have considered a 4-5-1 but I dont think that we have the necessary personnel. I would prefer not to play Duff from the off - if he plays well and we get a result - great - if he makes another mistake his confidence will be well fecked - hope he has the bottle. Unfortunately Duff's inclusion will undoubtedly mean that he is paired with Maguire - Brew will also stick with Hastings and Tokely. McBain is the evident replacement fer Duncan. Could be Wilson-Cowie-Black-McBain-Imrie across the middle but I hope not. I prefer Cowie playing wide in the typical Bazza role - a clone in fact - I feel that is where I have seen him at his most effective.
  19. The club might be saying that they have been on the look out fer a new defender - every feckin club says that they are always on the look out fer any player - Brew has decided to put his faith in his "signings" and on the old faithful - that is mistake number one. We have never got a replacement fer Dods and Bullen was the only one mentioned that could have bridged the gap - We should have used the Mercenary Circus funds on prioritising a central defender and I suspect we are still paying the price - mistake number two. It could be that he has no funds but Brew's signings and attempted signings have been to strengthen the squad not to put into the first team - mistake number three. Blobby Man in the SPL - yer having a feckin laff. :018: :thumb04:
  20. Bet they dont have this in Uganda - get his wee gut filled with some Scottish Heart Attack.
  21. I have managed to procure a piccy of Dan at the Ze club:
  22. Oh dear the future looks black for the black Black. Hey - do ya think we deported Richie Hart to Ross - shire ?
  23. DAN Wagaluka is determined to secure his career-dream move to Scottish Premiership side Inverness Caledonian Thistle this week. The diminutive midfielder had a work out with the club?s reserve team last Thursday during which he impressed with his huge work ethic and movement, on and off the ball. Wagaluka, a star of former Super Division soccer League champions Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), is expected to have his second trial match today when an Iverness select team hosts Liverpool?s reserve side in a testimonial game. ?I enjoyed my first game last week. After the game, everybody around me liked what I had done,? Wagaluka told The New Vision on phone yesterday. ?I hope to impress in my second match today and hopefully that will convince the technical staff that I am worth a contract.? Scottish publications had earlier stated that Iverness had shown willingness to pay his club?URA?a nominal transfer fee to complete the deal. If Wagaluka excels in his trials, he will just like his Cranes teammate David Obua, have to rely on the appeals procedure to secure a work permit. Aside from playing over 75% of Uganda?s matches, Wagaluka has also impressed against Africa giants such as Nigeria and Angola. Wagaluka will become the second Ugandan in the SPL after former national coach Csaba Laszlo signed left-winger David Obua at Hearts. Dan Wagaluka SC Villa The former Iganga TC and Villa goal merchant has not only given trouble to defenders of other teams in the local league but to international ones too. Nigeria's much-hyped backline, commanded by Everton's Joseph Yobo can attest to how deadly this boy was during 2007. He has attracted several foreign clubs including South African giants Kaiser Chiefs and defending champions Sundowns who are scrambling for his signature Worth the feckin risk - but this story is the one that convinced me - cant wait to get his name on ma shirt. :thumb04: In another development, URA FC winger Dan Wagaluka recently survived deportation for escaping from the team camp. The Cranes star sneaked out of the team`s residential venue at Gwami Hotel, Morogoro and spent a night on the prowl without the team`s official permission. This occurred last Wednesday night after URA`s 1-1 draw with Ethiopian side Awassa, a result that sealed their qualification to the quarterfinals. The team`s disciplinary committee comprising of Nixion Twebaze, Bernard Bainaman, Sam Okabu, Henry Mateku and head coach Moses Basena met to consider punishment for Wagaluka. Sam Mubiru, Johnson Bagole, Alex Isabirye and Manco Kaweesa represented the players. Most of the officials advocated for the player`s deportation, but the players pushed for a more lenient punishment. The committee finally ruled that Wagaluka makes an apology, which he did in writing. The decision, however, left some officials unhappy. ?No one is untouchable at this club. We set rules and they should be followed. Why is it that 20 players abide by the rules and only one goes against them,? one official complained. Another committee member said the decision was taken in the interest of the team. ?We decided to go by the senior players\? request because any action taken out of their favour would disorganise the team,? he said. Wagaluka` reportedly went to a local discotheque called Ze Club. Last year the same player escaped from the team camp during the tournament in Rwanda.
