  1. I am reliably informed that he is still considering which extension to pick. Personally I think that he may suit the reddish one, second from the left. What do you think ? [img width=500 height=369]
  2. Was having ma morning cuppa when I noticed this. I thought to myself "What ?" and there at the bottom of my mug the tea leaves had created the pattern of a feckin massive seagull with the latters W A T T. D.O.B. 01-05-1985 Birthplace Aberdeen Height 6'3'' Weight 13st 12lbs Position Defender Signed 10-01-2006 Fee Free Former Clubs Chelsea Pen Pic Steven Watt is a tall centre half who signed an 18 month contract with the Swansea during the January 2006 transfer window. He made his debut with the Premiership champions in last season's FA Cup against Scunthorpe and he received compliments from manager Jose Mourihno for his performance. Barnsley were also interested in signing him on a permanant basis after he played 3 games for the League One club whilst on loan. His spell ended early due to injury. After joining the club, Jackett said: 'Steve is a quality player. He is strong in the air and in the tackle. In fact, his all-round game is very good. 'I am delighted to add him to my squad. He is a quality acquisition.' Watt will certainly add competition for places in defence as he'll compete with Monk, Lawrence and Austin for a place in the centre of defence. He made his reserves debut for Chelsea at the age of just 16 and he will now wear the number 12 shirt for the Swans. Swans fans have yet to have seen him play on a regular basis because of on-going injury problems. Despite this, he was offered a 1 year deal by Martinez this summer which he signed. After signing, Martinez said he wants him to be playing regularly next season but that is likely to be on loan
  3. From my position in the stand, at the time, I thought it was a penalty. It must have looked it from where the ref was too. What the feck. No sense in crying over spilt milk.
  4. I am reliably informed that this squad was picked by a couple who won a competition in the Scottish Sun - they go by the name of Mr and Mrs McAllister from Inverness. Two words - Barry Robson. :004:
  5. Here is one fer the feckin players: Together we'll stand Divided we'll fall Come on now people Let's get on the ball And work together Come on, come on Let's work together (Now now people) Because together we will stand Every boy, Romanian and man People, when things go wrong As they sometimes will And the road you travel It stays all uphill Let's work together Come on, come on Let's work together You know together we will stand Every boy, Tokely, Duncanl, woman and man Oh well now, two or three minutes Two or three hours What does it matter now In this life of ours Let's work together Come on, come on Let's work together (Now now people) Because together we will stand Every boy, every coach and man Ahhh, come on now... Ahhh, come on, let's work together... Well now, make someone happy Make someone smile Let's all work together And make life worthwhile Let's work together Come on, come on Let's work together (Now now people) Because together we will stand Every boy, Canadian, black and man Oh well now, come on you people Walk hand in hand Let's make this world of ours A good place to stand And work together Come on, come on Let's work together (Now now people) Because together we will stand Every forward, full back, midfield and captain Well now together we will stand Every forward, full back, midfield and captain
  6. I will be holding court in the beautifully named Caledonian Bar - and I will be on the lash which means it is sing feckin song time. :crazy07:
  7. That is the worry. We will get caught out playing this too much and it is a case of going out in unison as well. Oh, and I thought the support on Saturday was fantastic. One of the best away supports at Motherwell ever. And it will only get better. :001:
  8. If Mikey had attacked the ball - Granty could have headed towards the goal. Mike is a very promising young goalkeeper learning his trade - as I said before slightly better than Brown at the same stage. He will improve and I suppose the goalkeeping coach has picked up what the rest of us have. To be fair to Hastings Well had a wide player on the right throughout whilst Rosscoe was left free for long periods. Duncan and Cowie did do a lot of holding and covering for him - they didnt seem to complain so it could have been tactical - but I felt that he continued to drift after he had scored. All Wells' play was mainly directed down the left or through the middle.
  9. Have you not got any consideration fer the families and friends of Alex Miller and Tin Tin.
  10. Game, set and feckin match Naelifts. :rotflmao:
  11. Apolgies as I was evidently blocking yer view Naelifts. I never said that there wasnt a lot of effort put in. I am referring to the "togetherness" factor as I have never witnessed such a level of disagreemnent and derison. But then again I am more professionally astust as Mantis alluded to.
  12. I aint having a go yer honour. He has simply been pitched in too early. It would NOT have happened with anyone else. The guy, even on yesterdays performance, evidently has class - but he should be fit before he starts as that could **** off the rest. Football is a team game. It should not be about personalities, political pressure or money talking. CC has to be strong and bench him - and buy a defender. Naelifts - he looks Latin :016: and ya speel Romania like thsi. :016:
  13. If it was me I would bench Niculae and start off with Bayne and Wyness. That is becos I havent really seen what Deano is capable of. I would keep Cowie,Black and Duncan but I would put Rankin in. As has been said we have little options in regard to the defence which really should have been sorted by now. Duncan gives it that little bit of solidity and dargo should be a known quantity.
  14. It is not doom and gloom - it is just genuine concern. This started off as a personal observation - it would appear that there is a division between those who agree that there is something wrong, those that didnt really notice and those who simply think that time will be the healer. Its a bit different to the first season.
  15. This requires a response Charles. Slap yer feckin meat on the table ya boring old fart. :rotflmao:.
  16. As I said before - I may be reading too much into it - but I cant help but feel that we are leaving it late to strengthen the squad as we did in the January window. Despite everything the performance was much improved yesterday but summat is afoot. :024:
  17. The answer KK is yes - what makes it evn worse is that the old git appears to be serious. :crazy07: Kencar - the brutal truth is that Niculae was clearly NOT match fit yesterday and should not have played from the start. He was yards off the pace and CC did not do him, nor the team, any favours with the decision. Bayne was probably not fully fit either and the way he was utilised was correct. We could have always gone for Deano. These are professional footballers and they obviously know the score and IMHO Niculae was played due to the pressure of the signing and possibly the wages and possibly orders from above. It was a decision that undoubtedly hampers his integration into the squad and creates friction. He could be a real bonus to us so lets hope it gets sorted out quick.
  18. Dear Mary, Do I know yer mother ? It is all too early too tell and I was merely looking fer reassurance. :001: but summat is wrong and the sooner we sort it out the better. It iseither going to get worse - doubt it - or issues are going to get sorted. Bet we win a Cup this season - and the drinks are on me. :014: luv IHE xx :moon2:
  19. I would say that the moral of this thread is that there is a sense of splitting off the park as well as on it. That may well be the result of two losses and higher expectancies but furthers my intuition that summat is wrong. I am entitled to my opinion, which is usualyy proved rite but others are entitled to theirs. Throughout the last few hours I have been trying to share my genuine concerns and asking others to challenge me. The outcome, as often is , that time only itself will tell. Me - I am going to be at the next four league games and will shout maself feckin hoarse in support fer the game - and give it laldy otherwise. IT CAN ONLY GET BETTER :symbol_question:
  20. Read the feckin posts peeple. :029: I am simply saying that I have bad vibes and as an immortal seer that is feckin troubling me. I am mainly looking fer reassurance. The system feels wrong - the togetherness is definitely not there. Mary Hill - There was NO urgency from Deano - it was as if the contagiousness of discord had filtered through to him. Maybe he was pissed off languishing on the bench fer TOO long. We should have sorted out the defence in feckin January - and I have been reliably informed taht our defence will be changed fer Midden - one positional and one transfer/loan.
  21. :crazy07: Read the opening post - fer fecks sake. :029: I was merely trying to stimulate discussion and I clearly dleineated that it was a first impression - and some agree :sillywave:. It has been seen before with the likes of Annelka, Henry, Sebo etc. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. As I said the guy looks class and needs time to get match fit and sharp. He was however gesticulating a lot, as the Latins tend to do, but it certainly irritated me. If he lives up to his billing than he can feel free to gesticulate and I will support him. But you should not be arrogant until you are fit enuff to defend yerself. If he fits in he will be sooperb. :022:
  22. To be honest - I dont feckin know. It just felt really bad today and I would love to be challenged on that. I will not mention names but I suspect that CC is favouring some when others feel that they are not worthy. We have changed our defensive style to accomodate Caff and I dont think ANY of the other defenders are too happy about it. Niculae is arrogant but if he gets fit and plays fer the team that could be a real PLUS. But then again WHY did CC not hook him early into the 2nd half when he was clearly fecked. Denzil looked totally pissed and maybe a few others did as well. As fer Deano - he may have come on late but he did NOT look interested.
  23. Perhaps we could ask the JailEnder to set it up. :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
