  1. FRASER TOKELY CAFF MUNRO HASTINGS DUNCAN HART/COWIE BLACK RANKIN BAYNE NICULAE/McDONALD Dont think wholesale changes ever work. Unless we get a signing then the back four have to be perservered with and strengthened by Duncan's presence. Rosscoe needs a "worker" in front of him. The forwards need some feeding and three more cultured midfielders may well be the answer.
  2. LOYAL ARMY :001: But I have just noticed that if you take away the Inverness and the Thistle bits and shorten the Caledonian you could have the "CALEY". :001:
  3. Fer fecks sake. The lad is only 20 and dont ferget it is TWO managers who have thrown the lad in at the deep end and he has been picked fer an Under 20 National squad. Barry Robson was slagged off fer being too scrawny etc. He is not SPL standard but has a lot of potential. He is one that we should really be holding on to fer a couple of years and a loan to a second or third division outfit may well enhance his confidence. That will probably now happen as he will NOT progress at ICT given the atmosphere on the terraces. But there again - is he not been made a scapegoat fer yesterday - who picked him and chose the tactics.
  4. I cannot believe that this post has not been erased. CaleyD may well be a tube but :rotflmao:
  5. What the Singing Section needs is some loud mouthed drunken old **** who doesnt give a feck and sings simply fer the sake of it.
  6. Dont worry - Mike Smith will sort it out. :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
  7. I once hit big Willie on top of his head with a chewed up pie from the shack at Kingsmills. The big man was always good fer the craic. PIP :011:
  8. Fine feckin start to the season. :33: :33: Why has my thread been demoted. :018: Sum fings never feckin change. :001:
  9. Diving, jostling, jersey pulling, brawls etc., etc. are what the game is all about. Where would we be without feckin controversy ?? :001:
  10. The Rangers site refers to Ross Tokely as Yokel ******. :015: :015: :015: :015: :015:
  11. OK so lets not get carried away and over-critical after a mere 90 minutes - there were postives but just as many warning signs out there today as well. We just did not compete, until we were 2-0 down, although the Huns are a much improved outfit. Undoubtedly the loss of Bayne and McDonald and the non arrival of Niculae played its part and allowed Cruella and Weird to cruise through the game and CC made the most of his substitutions. I can understand his starting X1 but I bet he rues it now.The blustering wind played its part but lets go with the Smiley's first: FRASER :001: :001: :001: Very nervous start but kept us in the game. One brilliant finger tip save in first half injury times and a few 1:1 leg stops. No chance with any of the goals. Still stays on his line too much fer my liking. TOKELY :001: :001: :001: Roasted by Beesley although as industrious as ever. Thank Gawd he wasnt Ian Black as he would have been hooked by half time. Three definite bookable offences but got off with a yellow. Suffered from the high line tactics and doesnt have Dods covering this season. Bad mistake fer third goal. CAFF :001: :001: Simply looked lost and out of pace in the SPL. Appeared to be letting Granty go fer evrything and retaining a sweeper type role. Hoofed the ball most of the time and looked very unsure of himself. GRANTY :001: :001: :001: :001: Solid as ever but did not look a comfortable pairing with Caff - often going fer the same ball - as happened clearly at Novo goal. His long throw ins were our only danger today. HASTINGS :001: :001: :001: Little chance to shine today but stuck to his defensive task quite well. WILSON :001: :001: :001: Given little chance to use the wings due to the conditions and the fact that eveything was mainly hoofed up the middle. BLACK :001: :001: :001: Responded well to a terrible tackle by Boyd and only showed a Tokely moment once and that was disguised - he is learning. Again on the back foot for most of the time. McBAIN :001: :001: :001: As industrious as ever but "invisible" for long periods. Went to sleep at Ferguson goal. RANKIN :001: :001: :001: As per Wilson. But why is he not taking the left side dead balls?? RORY :001: Completely out of his league. Granted that he is only a lad but loked one paced and clumsy. Needs to be farmed out at a lower level. Why did CC persist in hitting Rory with almost evrything in the first half. What a difference it may have made if he had chested down the cross in the 47th minute. DENZIL :001: :001: :001: Looked fit and eager with some nice touches. Looked equally exasparated with Rory !! HART :001: :001: :001: :001: What has he been on this summer ?? Very industrious and tried to pass the ball to feet. COWIE :001: :001: Didnt get enough of the ball but looks mobile, fit and quick. DEANO :001: :001: Simply no chance or time to impress. So it is too early to be analytical but a 4-5-1 would be preferred if the team selection hits us again. The defence looked very shaky at times. We played a high line looking fer offside with huge gaps between the two central defenders and the full backs. Caff looked very shaky and may not be the answer to Dods. Rosscoe and Bazza are not mobile enuff to from the right side partnership. Gawd to we need our strike force back. Still two away games next, both winnable - so lets see if the lessons have been learned. And from a Scottish point of view Ferguson was immense and McCulloch looks the trimmest I have ever seen him.
  12. Feck me. We could beat those diddies with one foot and one eye - just like their average crowd. :rotflmao:
  13. I have just had a bet with Corals-Ibiza that CC will be the first managerial sacking. 200 euros at 3 to feckin 1. Only problem is that I lost the feckin copy in the feckin foam last nite. :rotflmao:
  14. Feck me. Gordon Brown wants a season ticket.
  15. Deano has only got a bruise and Marius starts work at the Corriegarth on Sunday.
  16. I am reliably informed that if he is prepared to do a couple of shifts in the Corriegarth on a Wednesday and Sunday he will be OK. Nobody feckin signs anyone these days without checking out the Work Permit. Kind of Blue is on the wind up as usual. :001:
  17. I am reliably informed that he is on the same basic wage that was offered to Dargo - so that is why they are saying that he doesnt break the clubs wage bracket. BUT the "sponsors" are paying him bonus payments fer practically everything - e.g so much extra fer a starting appearance, fer a goal, fer a win etc.,etc. These bonuses evidently are higher than yer other player. That may be a bone of contention but if he produces the goods he gets the spondoolachs. And if he attracts more bums to the seats then the other players wages will potentially increase as well. We are taking a risk but it is not as if we will lose out if financially if he crocks himself.
  18. I am reliably informed that the Stand will commence operation fer the Arabs game. My "mole" at the council informs me that, as it is a temporary stand, there will be no problem in regard to its legalities. If, as per usual, I am correct I suugest that we pack the feckin thing out fer the first game. :001:
  19. Feck me. Does that mean that you agree with me ?? :crazy07: :crazy07:
  20. You would have been all right RIG. Apparently the virus that affects the Elgin area is only potent to those who live for periods of time in the area. And the club were vigilant and set up a clean up lay by just outside Forres last night.
  21. And to the tune of the Old Arsenal Ian Wright Chant: Oh Niculae - lae - lae Oh Niculae - lae - lae. Simple but feckin effective. It is the sponsored bonus payments that did the trick.
  22. The alternative currency is slipping the turnstile operator a slug of Four Crown or 2 woodbine. And dont be sitting at this game as ya could be soaking up some pish or dog turds.
  23. We can now put a side into the Masters Tournament. How time feckin flies. CALDER RITCHIE TEASDALE SHEERIN STEWART
