  1. Just says he has travelled down for talks with MK Dons on the BBC
  2. Any truth in the rumour that Killie are after him as well?
  3. Has anyone actually seen Rooney play either in the flesh or on TV? I read a few comments on other threads saying he'd be an excellent signing but I'm not sure what people are basing this on - to be honest I'd never even heard of the guy. Bit worried to read his wikipedia entry and to discover he's only 10 inches tall!! :015:
  4. Seriously what a fecKin shambles of a club Our only valuable asset of a player is rushed back to play in our local derby 3 days after his return from the Euro championships and his honeymoon and then is suddenly 'allowed' a week off for personal business - get a grip :33: Why not just hand a 'For Sale' sign round his head and sell him to the first team that offers us cash I am also puzzled by certain posters questioning of Niculae's talents. Perhaps they should take a long hard look at the rest of the squad before they cast aspersions> I am worried that decisions that have obviously been made well in advance of the coming season will ultimately lead to our relegation :029:
  5. Well for what its worth I totally disagree with RossP - I had Hastings as MoTM. In the first half he bombed forward much more than the man in front of him and his cross set up the first goal. Or defence lapses came from the middle with McGuire responsible for both goals.
  6. It must be hard for players to come up here on trial and despite being technically better they get turned down for people who are part of the furniture
  7. Elliot is as popular with Hearts fans as Rory M is with ours. The words shouldn't touch with a barge pole spring to mind. As a possible replacement for Bayne, well, maybe he (might) cut the mustard but if Niculae goes we are feckin struggling :008:
  8. You wouldn't take Craig Bryson? He pretty much destroyed us on his own last March!! He is potentially a quality young player
  9. My old man was speaking to his Dad at the match and he says Evans really likes it up here. It looked to me like he was trying too hard (if that makes any sense) and the 'nerves' were more the fact he was very concious of the fact he was playing for a contract Nice to see Liam Keogh in the crowd tonight and I'm sure Steven Watt was there as well
  10. Dear Oh Dear!! What a shambles :029: I think it's fair to say County deserved there win. They certainly looked a fitter, sharper, stronger more cohesive unit than us. Plus of course that's the biggest game of the season for them :tic01: I am trying to remain calm by uttering the mantra 'its only a meaningless pre-season friendly' over and over again :015: The first half we were subjected to the most long ball pish we have ever played. I think Wood went up for about 20 balls and didn't win a single one. What happened to him? He looked so promising last season and tonight he made Rory look dynamic. County took a well deserved lead when Hart scored a cracking goal from outside the box and they were reaping the benefits of keeping the ball on the deck in very windy conditions. We got a soft penalty, although by the letter of the law it was merited when one of the County centre halves moved his arm to stop a cross coming over. Unfortunately Wilson made a balls up from the spot and we went in 1-0 at half time. Numerous changes at half time didn't really improve our fortunes until a **** up at the back allowed Barrowman in to coolly round the keeper and slot it home. Vigurs then rocketed in a screamer from the edge of the box and the home fans let out a huge sigh of relief as we looked like edging an undeserved win. I'm not sure about the County equaliser it did look offside and the officials were pretty hopeless all night but I guess if we got the penalty they probably deserved it. There winner came in injury time when a free kick was whipped into the back post and didn't look too dangerous as big Rory had it covered. He proceeded to leap approximately 1 inch into the air, the ball sailed over his head and the County player darted into to score the easiest tap in of his life. D'oh!! Defensively we were a mess. If the opposition have a big striker we just can't cope. We need a centre back who can win balls in the air. We are going to hemorrhage goals this season mark my words. Not many players would get pass marks tonight - maybe Black for getting stuck in, Vigurs for his goal but that's about it I'm sure Djebi-Zadi will become a fans favourite but he's an accident waiting to happen I'm afraid :007: I left the game feeling disappointed and more than a little worried. Not sure I can be arsed going on Saturday. They obviously need that trip to Denmark - BADLY! Still it's only a meaningless friendly!! :023:

    Ryan Esson

7 appearances in last 2 years! I doubt Fraser will be losing much sleep. Why haven't they taken him on trial? No one will have seen him play for years!

    Ryan Esson

He failed to get a deal at Queen of the South!!
  13. Some comments in the P & J article today made me raise an eyebrow..... It would seem ?500,000 is now the magic figure Brewster mentions some of the money would go to 'pay off certain things' - any ideas? He hopes he would get some of the money if he needed it!! I think a lot of people have assumed that any money we got from selling Niculae would go straight into the transfer budget - looks like they need to think again.
  14. Been asked to stay on for a few more days & will feature against County
  15. Daily Mail reported clubs from Turkey & Greece were the bidders but then they went onto say Niculae earns ?5k a week!!
  16. I think it would be great if County made it into the SPL with us - think how annoyed all the other clubs would be having to make the journey up here twice as many times!! :015: I don't think they will get promoted this year though, if I was a gambling man my money would be on St Johnstone. I'm more worried about us surviving this year :009:
  17. I don't think anyone could argue against that! My only concern is that even with all that money we'd still struggle to attract players who will improve the first team, plus of course, the fact we have some cash automatically bumps up the price of any player we are trying to buy
  18. As soon as a club comes in with an offer that meets ICT valuation he'll be allowed to talk to them. The Express says we are holding out for ?1 million.
  19. Brewster said last week there will be no further defence signings I'm afraid
  20. More worrying is the quote that he is not looking at any more defenders! Our defending was the weakest link last season and unless McGuire's injury really affected his performances drastically he didn't look like the answer
  21. The few occasions I saw him it was definitely going forward that he caught the eye. I'd be surprised if he was played at centre half and I suspect he won't feature much barring injuries & suspensions
  22. One slight problem is that Dorrans doesn't want to come here on loan according to an article in today's Express
  23. Barnes is 6ft 3in and ginger and Zabi is a big black man if that helps?
  24. GREAT NEWS :021: Does anyone actually rate him as a commentator? I was so pleased when they introduced the option of listening to the 5 Live commentary via the red button - saved my muting Motson All the best John - you won't be missed
  25. I read (think it was in the Courier?) that the player was based in England - not sure if that narrows it down much
