The plot thickens.... Not even in the squad for the reserve defeat to Gretna yesterday!! Injured :symbol_question: Playing on Saturday :symbol_question: Or in the bad books :029:

I really thought he'd be shown the door but a decisions been made and hopefully that'll be the end of the matter. Whether he gets another game is open to debate. Guess it depends if he's one of the mangers favourites or not :023:
  3. I just assumed Wilson & Cowie were omitted from the starting line up/squad because Brew had decided this was a game we couldn't get anything from and was giving them a rest for matches we had more of a chance of winning?? The continued absence of Rankin, however is getting more and more baffling
  4. It only took till the 79th minute before Brewster noticed the game wasn't going our way :023: Ho Hum. We humped Gretna then Aberdeen hump us. Guess what goes around comes around. Not looking forward to the Rangers game now :029:
  5. Oh Dear :029: Sounds like a dismal TEAM performance tonight :009: I wonder how Niculae is going to get the blame for this defeat?? Perhaps earning all that money and only sitting on the bench :tic01: I feel sorry for any and all of our fans who've gone through to see this game Off to watch Heroes ~ here's hoping it doesn't turn into a rugby score :rolleyes02:
  6. Good result :clapping03: Well done one & all Attendance is a bit embarrassing though. There were more folk at some of the 2nd round Scottish Cup games as well as matches in the 2nd Division!
  7. I see County have appointed a new manager, err.........sort of... :023: LINK

Postponed again!! I was hoping this saga would finally be resolved one way or another today.

It'll NEVER happen but I'd go with a 3-5-2 formation Fraser McGuire Caff Munro Proctor Hastings Cowie Black Rankin Wyness Niculae

Fit & well and yet languishing in the reserves. For some reason Brew thinks McBain is a better footballer than him :sillywave:
  11. Top 6!! :010: Come on :sillywave: How are we possibly going to get a Top 6 place if we can't beat the likes of Gretna??? We need to start to get points on the board now!! Our first and main target this season is to avoid relegation. Anything else is a bonus
  12. Normally I'd agree but Motherwell seem to be a much harder nut to crack under their new manager :rolleyes02:

and the fact we always play 4-4-2 :004:
  14. A real 6 pointer next weekend and despite it being so early in the season it's a game we HAVE to win. Looking at the 10 remaining games this year I feel we only have 3 good chances for victories Away - Gretna Home - St Mirren Away - Falkirk Of course there's always the chance we might gain some unexpected points from our other opponents but realistically we need all 9 points from the above games

Brewster said before the game that his shoulder was worrying him and that he hadn't felt sharp in training. I don't think we shall be seeing much more of Brewster the player unless there is an injury crisis. Quite rightly I think he's going to concentrate on being Brewster the manager. He says he has the upmost faith in his players abilities then again he did drop Fraser which turned out to be a bit of a clanger :029:
  16. The problems are at the back not up front
  17. Disappointing result. A draw would have been a much fairer especially as Aberdeen were very poor once Severin went off. Calderwood was doing his nut with some of his sides play. It would have been much more amusing of course if we'd managed to get back into the game. Other than there goal Aberdeen were hardly in our half for the second 45 minutes but that tells it's own story I guess :029: Zibi. Zibi. Zibi :029: I was rather surprised to hear he was starting to say the least, especially after hearing he'd been beaten from 60 yards in the reserve game this week :023: As others have commented Young shouldn't have been given the opportunity to shoot but how exactly did it go in? I haven't seen the goal again but it looked like a bit of a soft shot! From that point onwards it was heart in the mouth time whenever he became involved in the game. Brewster got it wrong simple as that. Fraser should be back in goal next week Delighted Denzil got his goal but he is very lightweight and got brushed off the ball very easily on occasion. In his defence though a tip for our back 4 might be to stop punting the ball up to to him he isn't going to win many in the air. Niculae played well without excelling. Lots of nice link up play and a couple of decent efforts. Have to agree with most of the comments about our defence today Hastings was easily the pick of the bunch and I'm sorry to say Munro did have another very poor game. He hasn't played well all season and once again he lost more than he one in the air. He is obviously missing having Dods beside and maybe the pressure of being captain is taking it's toll as well? The midfield was a bit disjointed at times and it seemed there was a big gap between them and the front 2. Cowie had a very quiet game by his recent standards which didn't help either. Lastly 2 points that if anyone can provide the answer too I will be eternally grateful to them. Can anyone explain why we constantly resort to long throws into the box from Grant Munro? Every game this seems to be our preferred tactic and it simply NEVER works. I also really wish Brewster would stop making these pointless substitutions with a couple of minutes to go. We chasing the game and he gave Wilson & Bayne maybe 7 and 3 minutes respectively to make a difference!! Pointless and the changes he makes are always like for like never changes in the formation or tactics.

Zibi to start :010: Just been announced on Radio Scotland VERY harsh decision in my opinion (unless Fraser is injured?) Here's hoping it doesn't turn out to be a major factor :029:
  19. Totally agree with your starting team unfortunately I fear Brewster will stick with the same team despite the obvious inadequacies on the left
  20. How about the 3-0 humping they gave us? :029: Levein & McGhee are great examples of managers who know what they are doing making a huge difference
  21. Calderwood named him today in the press as one of our 'many' striking options :023: Let's hope that's as much homwork as tubby has done on us :014:
  22. Wyness is out of contract this summer. Might be a plan to get his contract extended sharpish
  23. I think you need to wear a kit once before the kit makers can sell it. Can't mind where I heard that or if it's true but there you go anyway! It's going to be a really good seller now :023: We should have been in our normal strip tonight. Simple as. Save debuting a pointless strip for a meaningless friendly surely?
  24. Why were we even wearing it tonight? :008:
  25. Nothing to gloat about as Scotland get beaten by teenagers :023:
