  1. Romania have more than a decent chance of making it through the group stages. Italy are an ageing team, France are living off past glories & the Dutch failed to beat the Romaians in qualifying managing only a scoreless draw at home
  2. Nice work by the Daily Record taking quotes directly from the P&J article yesterday :015: Good news none the less
  3. The story is in the P&J and there is a thread on the ICT section with the link. Also mentions Snodgrass as another possible target in the Barrowman plan fails. Brew was on MFR this morning speaking from Greece saying he wants to sign Zibi
  4. Scotty Brazil v Canada Sat May 31 2008 19:30 Is Hastings likely to get a game? Quite a scalp for him if so :021:
  5. bad dates indy :004: I've just watched a truly horrendous BBC 4 documentary about children's beauty pageant 's which scared the bejus out of me and I've lost my usual easy going approach to life.. :007:
  6. Settle down lads, Star Wars wasn't a documentary :004:
  7. Think you've pretty much got it spot on
  8. Good to read in the Inverness Courier today that the club will be talking to Fraser, Cowie & Munro over the summer about there future plans and possible contract extensions :022:
  9. In today's P&J....CALEY Thistle have missed out on Morecambe midfielder Garry Thompson ? but Inverness manager Craig Brewster won?t slacken his recruitment search. Brewster made an approach to Thompson, 27, but the player has agreed a three-year-deal with relegated Championship side Scunthorpe. Thompson made more than 300 appearances for the Shrimps, but has turned down the chance to play in the SPL for the opportunity to move up to League 1. Brewster said: ?I will keep trying to identify players, go after them and see if they will come to Inverness.? Apparently he is a winger
  10. I'm looking forward to that d**k John Motson saying 'Inverness Caledonian Thistle' during a commentary - not that I can bare to listen to the man :015:
  11. For some unknown reason I keep thinking we are going to try and sign John Stewart from Falkirk - it's not a pleasant thought :007: I hope Marius stays (I know he won't though)
  12. Totally agree. Seems a no brainer that we should be tying him up on a long contract ASAP. Saying that what odds, come January, we'll be beginning negotiations 'next week' :029:
  13. Romanian FA would have to pay his wages
  14. Here's the link for the story.... CLICKITY CLICK Basically Brewster saying he's our Number 1 (only?) signing target & Barrowman saying he's going to wait as long as possible before deciding who to sign for :rolleyes02: Also St Johnstone & Dunfermline have made enquiries about Bayne & Deano is being released on a free transfer!
  15. Apparently we will know by Thursday whether we've got our man or not. Of course, going by previous transfer sagas at the club that probably means the final Thursday in August :tic01:
  16. Just wondered what people thought about the article in today's Inverness Courier? CRAIG Brewster has conceded defeat in trying to keep Dennis Wyness and maintains it is now "highly unlikely" that Caley Thistle's all-time top scorer will be at the club next season. Inverness manager Brewster had stated on Saturday that he planned to hold further talks with the 31-year-old yesterday, despite reports that Wyness, now out of contract, had already signed a two-year deal with St Mirren. Gus MacPherson, boss of the Paisley club, would only say that he had tabled an offer for Wyness, but was still waiting to hear back from his representatives. Brewster, however, understands that Wyness has opted to leave Caley Thistle, although he did not know if St Mirren was the club he has chosen to sign for. "I have tried to get in touch with Dennis, but I've not been able to get hold of him," he stated. "As far as I know, he is close to signing for someone else. Given the situation, then I would have to say it is highly unlikely that Dennis will be a Caley Thistle player next season." Seems like they are trying to saying Denzil walked away rather than being pushed? :023:
  17. Oddly in both papers I've read this morning Brewster has been quoted as saying he knows nothing about Wyness signing for St Mirren and that he'll be talking to him on Monday :024:

    The Long Ball

Just imagine how long ball we'll go if Rory & Bayne are our 1st choice strikers next season!!! :029:
  19. I seem to the remember the club bending over backwards trying to do everything to keep Dargo though? :024: Anyway that may just be my red wine addled memory :015: All the best to Denzil at St Mirren . Here's hoping he does well (except against us) However, with losing him and the inevitable departure of Niculae we take another step towards one of my biggest fears. A strikeforce pairing of Rory McAllister & Graham Bayne :crazy07:
  20. I'll ask you again Marty - you think he can "easily" be replaced. Who with? Good luck in Paisley Dennis. You aren't the first ICT player to go there after being dicked about over a new deal. Who do you mean RiG?
  21. Speaking to one of the player's grandfather at half time and there are 3 German teams very interested in Niculae and its almost certain he will be leaving in the summer :009:
  22. Wilson is likely to be offered a short term deal - whatever that means :024:
  23. Inverness Courier reporting we have put a 'firm' offer to him! Hope there is a Plan B just in case he goes elsewhere :rolleyes02:
  24. Garry Wood has signed a new 2 year contract and Guy Kerr a 1 year deal
