  1. and the fact we always play 4-4-2 :004:
  2. A real 6 pointer next weekend and despite it being so early in the season it's a game we HAVE to win. Looking at the 10 remaining games this year I feel we only have 3 good chances for victories Away - Gretna Home - St Mirren Away - Falkirk Of course there's always the chance we might gain some unexpected points from our other opponents but realistically we need all 9 points from the above games
  3. Brewster said before the game that his shoulder was worrying him and that he hadn't felt sharp in training. I don't think we shall be seeing much more of Brewster the player unless there is an injury crisis. Quite rightly I think he's going to concentrate on being Brewster the manager. He says he has the upmost faith in his players abilities then again he did drop Fraser which turned out to be a bit of a clanger :029:
  4. The problems are at the back not up front
  5. Disappointing result. A draw would have been a much fairer especially as Aberdeen were very poor once Severin went off. Calderwood was doing his nut with some of his sides play. It would have been much more amusing of course if we'd managed to get back into the game. Other than there goal Aberdeen were hardly in our half for the second 45 minutes but that tells it's own story I guess :029: Zibi. Zibi. Zibi :029: I was rather surprised to hear he was starting to say the least, especially after hearing he'd been beaten from 60 yards in the reserve game this week :023: As others have commented Young shouldn't have been given the opportunity to shoot but how exactly did it go in? I haven't seen the goal again but it looked like a bit of a soft shot! From that point onwards it was heart in the mouth time whenever he became involved in the game. Brewster got it wrong simple as that. Fraser should be back in goal next week Delighted Denzil got his goal but he is very lightweight and got brushed off the ball very easily on occasion. In his defence though a tip for our back 4 might be to stop punting the ball up to to him he isn't going to win many in the air. Niculae played well without excelling. Lots of nice link up play and a couple of decent efforts. Have to agree with most of the comments about our defence today Hastings was easily the pick of the bunch and I'm sorry to say Munro did have another very poor game. He hasn't played well all season and once again he lost more than he one in the air. He is obviously missing having Dods beside and maybe the pressure of being captain is taking it's toll as well? The midfield was a bit disjointed at times and it seemed there was a big gap between them and the front 2. Cowie had a very quiet game by his recent standards which didn't help either. Lastly 2 points that if anyone can provide the answer too I will be eternally grateful to them. Can anyone explain why we constantly resort to long throws into the box from Grant Munro? Every game this seems to be our preferred tactic and it simply NEVER works. I also really wish Brewster would stop making these pointless substitutions with a couple of minutes to go. We chasing the game and he gave Wilson & Bayne maybe 7 and 3 minutes respectively to make a difference!! Pointless and the changes he makes are always like for like never changes in the formation or tactics.
  6. Zibi to start :010: Just been announced on Radio Scotland VERY harsh decision in my opinion (unless Fraser is injured?) Here's hoping it doesn't turn out to be a major factor :029:
  7. Rubbish rumour - he'd never join us. Saying that if we signed him & Lovell we'd probably make top 6 as they are guaranteed to score against us :023:
  8. Totally agree with your starting team unfortunately I fear Brewster will stick with the same team despite the obvious inadequacies on the left
  9. How about the 3-0 humping they gave us? :029: Levein & McGhee are great examples of managers who know what they are doing making a huge difference
  10. Calderwood named him today in the press as one of our 'many' striking options :023: Let's hope that's as much homwork as tubby has done on us :014:
  11. Considering your 'grapevine' has already sprouted the names of Terry Butcher & Maurice Malpas I won't lose much sleep over this :015: I will concede that Parkie knows much more about coaching/tactics than Brewster ever will
  12. Wyness is out of contract this summer. Might be a plan to get his contract extended sharpish
  13. I think you need to wear a kit once before the kit makers can sell it. Can't mind where I heard that or if it's true but there you go anyway! It's going to be a really good seller now :023: We should have been in our normal strip tonight. Simple as. Save debuting a pointless strip for a meaningless friendly surely?
  14. Why were we even wearing it tonight? :008:
  15. Nothing to gloat about as Scotland get beaten by teenagers :023:
  16. Pathetic :029:
  17. Iain Vigurs :022:
  18. Appointed manager of Crystal Palace today
  19. Not exactly the way we want the club to be making the headlines now is it :029: It'll be interesting to see what ICT do about RH. If this was a first team regular I imagine a harsh reprimand, final warning and fine would be meted out but I suspect he may well be kicked out as he is very much a fringe player these days. At best he can expect a hefty fine, and either being allowed to leave in January or not have his contract renewed at the end of the season
  20. From BBC Website..... In a statement, the SPL club said the player has been suspended from training and playing until further notice. It went on: "When the matter was originally brought to our attention, the club interviewed the player and given his responses agreed to leave the matter until the allegations were addressed in court. "The club would like to reassure the club's commercial partners, supporters and the public that the club adopts a very firm stance in relation to the use and/or possession of drugs." FULL STORY
  21. I almost feel sorry for Gretna. Almost!! :023: Celtic were rotten and yet they have all 3 points. Still probably a good result for us
  22. I'm blaming you for tempting fate here... :015: :004: Aye sorry about that :029: Munro can't handle Nish just like Dods can't cope with Scott MacDonald
  23. Zibi made a couple of mistakes in the 2nd half against Gretna that we were lucky to get away with. They migjht not have been easy to see if you were in the North stand though. He did look rather accomplished in the first half. I'd be disappointed if Brewster dropped Fraser over 1 bad performance as he seems determined to pick some players over others reagradless of form
  24. Hastings & Rankin should be starting ahead of McBain & Wilson. Brewster is showing tremendous loyalty but the left hand side is a real Achilles heel :029:
  25. I believe Fraser made an excellent save in the 1st half that Brewster was raving about after the match. When keepers make mistakes it tends to be costly. Fraser shouldn't be dropped. Zibi is a very poor goalkeeper. I shudder to think of him being our first choice :018:
