the 28th was a busy day for the person who approves comments on the Courier website... http://www.haloscan.com/comments/theinvern...r/8351/?src=hsn Keep him/her busy!!
  2. For: May force the boards hand. Could expediate the inevitable in time to turn it around. Will be firm evidence for everyone that board inaction leads to fan action. Against: Will do nothing for the players morale/performance, affects the club financially, could be seen as "unloyal" supporters, club will probably say its bad time of year/uninspiring opposition. For what its worth, Im against a boycott. (easy for me to say, so far away, i know!)
  3. This is a chapter in ICT history that no-one has ever seen before. Nobody wants this to happen. Im sure it will be done with the heaviest of hearts and a lot of soul searching. The general consensus seems to be that there must be someone brought in now. The only way to act as a catalyst is to take affirmative action. This, it seems, is it. I think those who would have normally went to the game should arrange to meet somwhere, get a picture, or let the newspapers know, and show their numbers, else the absence could be put down to the weather/credit crunch/SFL opposition etc.

I have a suspicion he would not move us forward as was poor in his last two jobs. But i like the others
  5. Gave me my greatest thrill at a football game ever on Feb 8th. A club like ICT has just a few legends and Barry will always be in the ICT XI, of that, there is no doubt. Best of luck at QoS I shall be rooting for them from now on. Hope ICT and QoS can meet in the cup so we can see you at ICT again!

I would almost prefer Brewster ........ almost !!! Yeah, i would not see Cooper before Robbo. Confidence wise, Robbo would do it. I would be happy with him. But dont forget Robbo had Parky too. Who would replace Malky, also a very important appointment. Someone with a lot of experience given Robbo is still a young manager, and Shearer, Wilson are inexperienced. Robbo and ..........Wilson Sr?
  7. Better the Devil you know. Grass isnt always greener on the other side. Im sure these are the thoughts of the board. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. All we know is that there is no evidence that Brewster can turn it around, only evidence to the contrary.
  8. Spot on RednBlack. I think they are preparing for the gamble of staying with the ship and see if it manages to stay afloat. And, as you say, they know if ICT is relegated, the club will have to be purged. Its a gamble most other clubs would not take.

Managers: Colin Calderwood Craig Brown Gary McAllister Assistants/coaches: Charlie Christie Duncan Shearer Iain Stewart
  10. George Fraser: (from Mexico) ...Graeme, we canny act. Ah dinnae wanna gie thon rabble the satisfaction. Right or wrong, Craigy is stayin' put. Got it? Graeme: Aye, fair enough like, but, things here are nae gettin' any better like, an wi the transfer window an that, like... George Fraser: [To waiter: Senor, 2 Pina Coladas por favor] Listen, he is no goin anywhere, its oot o my hands. If he keeps doin mince, well, upstairs will hae to do summit, but no the now. Graeme: No the now? George Fraser: No the now, rub ma back will ya? Graeme: Eh? George Fraser: no you, ya daftie, the Missus. Graeme: Aye, eh, aye, eh...so, yel hae a word wi Mr Sutherland then? George Fraser: Aye, maybe. Adios Senor Bennett. Click Graeme: **** it
  11. Worst league form - (last 10 games) Inverness CT Least clean sheets - (1) Inverness CT Goals scored - 6th best, same as 4th placed Hearts (20) Goals conceded - (34) the second worst defence behind Hamilton
  12. ICT are 4th for shots at goal....behind Rangers, Celtic and Hibs. Surprising, so we are creative or we aren't? Playing with 1 up front that surprises me

Without a Charles de Gaulle figure to lead the resistance the movement is doomed. Who will be the Tito of Caley Thistle? I think any protest checklist would have to include, in order, Noise from the matchday crowd Banners Letters to club and newspapers Petition (online) A walkout A boycott I believe the first three have been done, what about the last three, need a De Gaulle for those!
  14. As a percentage, ICT have won 25%, drawn 10% and lost 65% of their matches this season. At home we have a 0% record of clean sheets. Any other statistics from this season? Corners won, goals won from, goals conceded from etc etc. Can anyone find out other actual statistics to chew on?
  15. 4-5-1 4-4-2 5-4-1 A good player can play anywhere... If you at least act as if you know what youre doing it might be a start. Basically, CB, what have you done for this club that has been anything better than mediocre. Sure a few good scores and runs, but that was with a different team, youve sold all the best ones cos they didnt agree with you. And pray tell who will you be buying to replace Black, Dods, Niculae, Rankin, Wilson, even Cowie?
  16. Kudos to Allyb - thats a long drive and a heck of a lot of money. And a very good post, as have all of them been. Board, I think that you are 1) being overly loyal to a manager that has won us nothing, brought in nothing and will do nothing 2) ripping the club apart through pure inaction and indifference, 3) alienating yourselves, individually as well as a unit, from the fans 4) expecting there to be a huge turnaround in form and all will be forgotten 5) extremely naive and bullish to believe n.o4 as there is no evidence that it can happen and only evidence that it wont. While your sense of loyalty is admirable, it is misplaced. your duty is the welfare of ICT, not an individual.
  17. I think Blacks statement is very telling There are people behind the scenes that have looked after me very well." and "I met Csaba last week...He knows what he is doing." I cannot believe we are losing him, and Cowie too. A Scotland B player and the first Div player of the year for nothing. The Director of Football/Vice-Chairman, Mr Graeme Bennett, is equally at fault over this and as this whole situation goes on more and more people at the club are being exposed.
  18. As seen on the BBC the Sports minister has backed Labour's Frank McAveety's call for free admission for kids to selected games. In principle an excellent idea, but I think only if they are accompanied by an adult, a maximum ratio of 3 to 1 perhaps. Because, if the club were to allow hundreds of bored kids in unaccompanied, it would cause problems in policing and stewarding.
  19. I think everything has been chewed over apart from whether Black will leave in January or at the end of his contract. Hearts have said they are after a striker and have too many midfielders and need to shift players, so i doubt that they will be spending any cash on a player they will have for free in the summer. Double edged sword. And this just in from BBC website I love the quote that "There are people behind the scenes that have looked after me very well and I've learned a lot," Behind the scenes... (Edited for BBC link)
  20. You mean after the Hamilton game, no way the board will be able to get the cobwebs off before then... I think Brewster the player is probably every managers dream, hence why Calderwood loves him so much, Brewster was basically teachers pet as a player. As a coach at Aberdeen, why not? Look at Alex Miller, Roy Aitken etc, no use at management but still got good jobs as coaches.
  21. Dorrans is a good call. Only one substitute appearance this season at home against Man City. How about David Gray (20) (Man Utd) right back/right mid. Could get him on loan, from Edinburgh, do a job on the right.
  22. Seems a lot less than a year since Phil O'Donnell collapsed and died. As some will have already seen, the Motherwell players are going to have a huddle at the Motherwell and ICT game pre match in remembrance, as reported on the BBC website. They will be going to the graveyard before or after the match too. A tough day for all linked with the Steelmen. Gone but not forgotten.
  23. According to the ICT Code of Practice you should have received a response to your enquiry within 14 days unless there are some special circumstances. Remember, the club "...will consult our supporters on a regular basis both through the Supporters Trust meetings and ongoing direct communication. Supporters who are not members of this Trust will be consulted through informal activities." So, those who never received a reply must have made a mistake on the stadium address, the stamp fell off, your return address was not enclosed/legible, or "unless circumstances which renders our administration unable to respond." Please try to remember, that ICT "...will continually seek to improve the quality of service we provide for our supporters. We (ICT) seek to achieve the highest level of service to all our supporters. We (ICT) will treat all our customers in a professional and courteous manner."
  24. Indeed, have a look at previous transactions. Niculae - (Romanian International, Euro 2008 player) Rankin (Scotland B,) Brown (SPL winner, Scotland B,) Robson (SPL winner, Scotland International, Champions League player) Black (Scotland B,) Add to that, Darren Dods, Graham Bayne, Dennis Wyness, Craig Dargo, Bobby Mann and it makes for a pretty darn good team. I understand that we are a selling club - that doesn't mean we leave the front door unlocked for all and sundry to come in. And how much money, in total, have we reaped for the above players? Any ideas?
  25. Funny because its true. Sadly
