True, but Cowie, Dods, Wilson, Niculae, Wyness, Bayne, Dargo and Paatelainan all went out, in came Rooney, Imrie, Barrowman, McGuire, Zadi, Proctor so I think that it evens out when you add the two Hibs players into the mix, especially considering Niculaes wages. I would regard these players as making up the shortfall.

Interesting, another young SFL player up front potentially, I think that Rooney and Wood up front is sufficient, with Barrowman, Mcallister as reserves. Any other forward would best be 30ish to balance it out, Windass would be immense. Overall, waste of a wage for Elliot, why replace a key midfielder with a SFL forward????

Could be, but it does give the squad more depth, without committing to a transfer fee, and they have been in Scotland a while, were regulars, maybe one might shine and join in the summer? However i believe that central defence, central midfield and a striker is the priority so these guys are to give depth, still waiting for the bread and butter signings.

Too many of the executive management have become far too comfortable (lazy) in their positions. They deserve to be brought to account. Yep. I would hesitate to stick in up-and-coming players with the task of getting us off the bottom. Experienced heads who have been there and done it is what is needed, no reflection on the qualities of the younger players.

I cant see Vigurs tying himself down on a 325 pound contract for one year let alone four. That wage is for SFL players, and it is not going to keep him from looking at triple that at least at another SPL club. I think that Alex is right that the priority is to add to the squad, but if the DoF lets another player leave because his contract wasnt renewed then serious questions must be asked.

I can see what your reasoning is but that is a vital position, need a pacey crosser that can dribble and dazzle and can cut in and shoot from long range, and allow tokely to overlap by tracking back.
