Barrow load of rubbish
I would agree with that, it appears that he is getting most of the flack (apart from Brewster) for yesterday, if the system is not right the guy cant do a thing, he is not a lone striker and shouldnt have been played that way. lets see how he plays in the correct system before saying his career at ICT is over

If brewster left (if only)
Disagree at this stage Robbo would be a step forward

If brewster left (if only)
Robbo Manager either Barry of CC as assitant , cant see Park leaving hibs to come back

Looks like we are stuck with the clown
Jim Duffy's too old to be a player/manager. Besides we've got McGuire to come back in central defence... :thumb04: ...maybe Duffy could play on for a season then Seriously, I think Pressley as manager and Duffy assisting him I could really go for. I like our habit of taking on young hungry managers and apparently Duffy is a good coach with extensive knowledge on the game. Could work! I'm pretty sure his wage demands may be to high, but I would have had Duffy as assistant manager to Brew. Or even the other way round. Throwing Brewster in at the deep end without a real qualified experienced coach to show him the ropes was plain stupid. Chris that never happened Park was here when Brew came back

I like how that gives you reason to insult me personally. Chris as much as I admire your optimisim even you must be having doubts that Brew can pull us out of this

oh well at least thats one problem he wont have to worry about if things carry on as they are there will be nobody there to let their anguish feed through

If brewster left (if only)
Did Brewster not have an experienced asst manager that he got rid of, Park

ICT -V- Dundee Utd : matchday thread
If just once he would say I got the tactics wrong maybe people would think ok he has made a mistake and he would learn from it, the worrying thing for me is I dont honesty think he does think he is getting it wrong, its down to refs, poor finishing by his players or pressure from the crowd getting to the players, mind you I wouldnt be thinking i was doing much wrong if my bosses were offering me a new contract either.

Jamie Duff at right back
:018: Couldn't agree more Kencar !! How many guys could you play out of position in one game. I honestly believe we HAVE good players, they are just played out of position. When you see it laid out like thats its actually quite frightening :thumb04:

I dont think that Brew is doing himself any favours with the fans, comments such as they have to take a reality check rather than thanking them for turning up at the home games when they havent had much to shout about dont help his cause. I also think if he just put his hands up and said well I got that wrong today I think people would respect that more.

Niculae, who most would agree was a cut above, couldn't do it all on his own. He was also guilty of missing sitters, but then he was touted as the great white hope and had a national call-up in his sights so was clearly trying too hard at times. For me the damning fact is still that a striker like Brew - **** his badges, tactics, subs, and the rest - that the guy as a *coach* cannot instruct or inspire the strikers he's brought in, to score goals. He can't even, after four months, get Barrowman to time his jumps so that he connects with the bloody ball. I dont think its any coincidence that Marius's best spell at the club was when playing in the same team as Rankin, I still think letting Rankin go was a big mistake and we havent got anyone that can give the quality of service to strikers that he did, Barry aside I think we know there was more to Rankin going than him just wanting to go to Hibs, I rankin wanted to go to hibs, i dont think we would of hung onto him if we wanted too. rankin is a good player but not better than what we have in black, cowie and vigurs, all possibly better players. I think we know there was more to Rankin going than him just wanting to go to Hibs, I am also not saying he is better than any of those 3 but I think his delivery was better than those 3

Rooney
What I have seen of Rooney I like, but he needs a run in the team, not this constant choping and changing up front. And most importantly he needs service.

Message for Brewster
you should have known better by now Back toyour point, I dont imagine that Levin would have said to his troops to carry on the same way in the 2nd half, hence the difference between the 2 teams in the second half
-
Message for Brewster
Oh come on you can question his tacctics but you cant call him a coward for not doing an interview, Alex Ferguson sometimes doesnt do the interviews, and besides he did the bbc one
-
Jamie Duff at right back
Brew said in bbc interview that he didnt want to make 2 changes in defence hence why duff played at rb, brew said he thought he did ok there

Looks like we are stuck with the clown
Oh look, Dalneigh finds fault with one of my posts again. As I said, Brewster made some honking mistakes today, and most will throw the old one defeat from relegation statistic at me, but I'd reply that we are also 1 victory (with our away form as it is, a very winnable game against St Mirren) away from the top 6. Que someone hurling abuse at me for having a different opinion to their own. Chris certianly not going to hurl abuse as yes we are all entitled to our opinions but are you not worried the way things are going I am indeed worried. Brewster continually makes stupid mistakes at home and frequently shows his tactical inexperience. However, I just don't think things are that bad. United would have been expected to win today, and by the sounds of things in the first half at least we gave them a game. I also look at what Brewster has brought to the club (far more than Christie IMO). I'm impressed at the way he is willing to throw young guys in at the deepend, and yes on some occasions these decisions have not worked the way he would have liked, but I direct you to the preformance of Gary Wood and Ian Vigurs at Hibs. He seems to at least try to play half decent football, and so far has been excellent in the transfer market (Djebdi-Zadi aside). He is master of the counter attack and genuinely seems to want whats best for the club. And don't forget that the players are fitter than ever. Yes things aren't perfect, but I am convinced we can go to Love Street and get a win, and IF Brewster is willing to learn from the mistakes he made to day, we will give Aberdeen a decent game on the 21st. Was it last week that most on here were fuming at Brewster for doing exactly that Master of the counter attack I must have missed that You don't go to many away games then, but I assure you he is. (The away games comment is not a personal dig at you, it's just thats where its most on show). yes you right chris i havent been to any away games it was just the words master and brew in the same sentence that baffled me

Proof is what is lacking, so both stories have no substance. Maybe this thread should be moved to the rumour mill? Yes think you are right doesnt seem to be going anywhere

Fact is, we are relying on others being worse than we are. This is life under Brew. Thank God Hamilton are pants. Yes they are pants but I am not sure we are much better to be honest

ICT -V- Dundee Utd : matchday thread
"Sometimes, people need to take a reality check" ... INDEED !!!!! However, I would suggest that the person actually needing the reality check is the manager ! And the board for considering giving him a new contract at this stage

ICT -V- Dundee Utd : matchday thread
If we are going to play 1 up front I would prefer to see Rooney up there, hopefully I will be proved wrong and Barrowman will bang in a couple, I have a good feeling about today think we might just get a result

Looks like we are stuck with the clown
I would agree that only time will tell, I would have preferred if the club would have waited a touch longer to see how he gets on before offering a new contract. I wonder if it was Brew that was pushing for the new contract or did the club just think he deserved it?

Contracts (Merged)
Yes How so? Are you his shadow? I would put that back and ask with the way you are defending it do you have any proof that he was offered a new contract at the start of the season
