  1. Please come back to us Adam, we need you!!!
  2. Hibs were bound to win here sometime but today they did not deserve it at all. We looked much better, compared to last week. We moved the ball well, we got lots crosses in and on another day we would have put 2 or 3 of those chances in. Tudor Jones caught my eye especially, composed and strong in the tackle, looks an excellent signing. Tade was also much imrpoved on last week. Looked fitter, stronger and worked his socks off till he was hooked. Ross for me was as poor as ive ever seen him. Think Doran will be worthy of a starting place next week. Agreed with many that another striker is needed. Foran cant play 90 minutes, nor can Tade. While Shane is good he is just another battering ram. I know we are yet to see McKay but to me someone else is needed. Defence for me was again weak. Piermayr i thought was excellent but the rest were average, Gillet in paticular had a real stinker. Aldred had his good moments but i would have Hogg back in the heart of defence for a bit of leadership and experience. Steve Conroy - what an erse. Foran was wrestled to the ground and then later was taken out as he prepared to shoot. Dont see how they could be missed.
  3. Agreed with the above post. 1 more signing needed in a striker imo but the squad is really starting to take shape now.
  4. Great news. Delighted he changed his mind and a real boost ahead of tomorrow.
  5. It makes sense i suppose. We need another decent center half and he needs a wage.
  6. Must admit i half expected this.
  7. In terms of numbers i would say we are in need of about 5 more players. Ideally 2 new center backs, a winger, an experienced center mid and a striker. Also along with Tudor Jones, noitced Stephen Hughes is surplus to requirments at Norwich. Would love to have him at ICT.
  8. Yeh i remembered he couldnt settle for something specific, couldnt remember what it was. But in saying that given his current situation he may be prepared to make the treck North in order to get a wage.
  9. Hogg is now on trial at Crewe.
  10. A few players down south i noticed are available. Alan O'Brien - ex Newcastle United and Hibs. Pacey winger and can play on either side. If Doran or Hayes get injured we are rather thin on the ground for width. A. Shinnie and Sutherland are not wingers. Vincent Pericard - much travelled striker across the football league. Seen him play a few times on sky sports and always struck me as quite a talented player, heard he was training with Kilmarnock during Pre Season. Izzy Iriekpen - Used to be Swansea City's captain in League 1. Left Hamilton after failing to settle there and has since struggled to settle elsewhere. We are well renowned for getting players back to their best and he is an experienced center half, something we need.
  11. Boyd would be a decent signing, O'Dea would be a terrific signing but neither will probably come here. In terms of numbers id say we ideally need to bring in another 4 or 5.
  12. Leigh Griffiths is available for loan.
  13. Mensing would be a great signing but i doubt it will happen. Now that we have aquired Piermayr we are sorted at right back with Meekings providing decent cover once he is fit. A new center back is a must now. If we have the opportunity i would get 2. A defensive midfielder would be helpful given Duff wont be back and Cox still out injured. And another striker, if possible one with a decent track record.
  14. Esson Piermayr, Tokely, Aldred, Gillet Tansey, A. Shinnie Hayes, Ross, Doran Foran Subs: Tuffey, Proctor, G. Shinnie, Morrison, Greig, Tade, Sutherland
  15. A very dissapointing start to the season - but not without its positives. Positive points - Tansey looks very impressive, box to box, great passing, vision and was unlucky not to have a brace of goals. Foran worked his socks off and at some points was back defending, despite playing as a striker. Tade worked hard but seemed to be running on empty from the start - think some need to remember he has had no pre season and may take a few games to get into his stride. Johhny also looked lively but he needs to be put back onto the right hand side - its were he cause most danger. Negatives - Proctor - end of. He lost the runs he was meant to be tracking, which led to 2 goals, his clearences were poor and his distribution was non existent. The sooner Piermayr is in the team the better. Shinnie had a poor start, his first touches in paticular but i felt alongside Tansey he was starting to improve but when he got shoved onto the right wing he was a passenger for the rest of the game. Aldred had a great start but his form seemed to dip as the game went on. Gillet was always going to struggle against Humphrey but he allowed him too much space which made us vulnerable everytime they broke forward. Motherwell looked the part today. With the likes of Humphrey, Murphy, and Law in their team i think their fans can be expecting big things from them this season - and Lasley has a contender for goal of the season already. We are still short of players, fitness and experience of working this team together. With a bit of time and patience i think this time can hold its own.
  16. Birmingham won the League cup, not the FA cup.

    Squad numbers

Proctor isnt worthy of number 2 . It is being saved for a proper right back.
  18. Just a thought but as far as i know Chris Hogg is still without a team, is it possible he may come back up here for a season if he fails to get a move down south?
  19. Great news and good to see the club trying to get this sorted good and early.
  20. Anyone know if squad numbers are out yet?
  21. HT: 1-0 FT: 1-1 1st ICT: Foran 1st Opp: Higdon Crowd: 6,142
  22. I truely hope he has signed. If he is as good as he sounds then with the addition of another decent center back and once Meekings is fit we will have a relatively solid defence for the season.
  23. Saw McKay in Girvans today. He was wearing one of those special casts and had crutches.
  24. Sounds like a great prospect and if he is making an impression this quickly it sounds like he is definitely worth a contract.
  25. Think i read somewhere that Killie missed out on one or two of their trialists due to budget restrictions.
