  1. That's because we haven't won the lottery and it's still the same effing system
  2. SPORTFIVE and MP & Silva are the SPFL overseas broadcast partners.
  3. Think you've pretty much hit the nail on the head there Kingsmill. Privatisation means everything is now controlled 100% by profit...or whether or not they can screw money out of the public purse to (more than) offset possible losses.
  4. The BBC do not own the rights to broadcast match commentary for the league outside of the UK.
  5. Yeah he'll be fine....only really has any pain about 30 minutes before kick-off.
  6. You don't have to be a coach/official (or player) to be in the dugout. You just have to be listed as an occupant with the match officials before the game. The only rules that determine occupation relates to the number of people allowed and this varies by competition. Our dugout at Hibs included a groundsman and kitman. As I understand it, Foran won't be allowed in the dugout, but that is entirely due to his suspension...he will also be restricted on when he is allowed in the tunnel, dressing room or allowed to sit in the direct vicinity of the technical area (something that the official missed with Kenny Shiels when he sat behind the away dugout when sent to the stand at our place).
  7. I should add, that the poor internet at the stadium is down to what's realistically available. No fiber (yet) and to get own black fiber installed would cost between £5k & £10k before you even look at the operating costs.
  8. Live match commentary is on our (the media teams) list of things we want to be providing and it will come....we just can't (yet) give a commitment as to "when". Cost is the biggest limiting factor. The equipment needed would be an easy £3k, but probably nearer £4k by the time you add in accessories etc. Operating via an internet connection is not feasible due to bandwidth/reliability (or should I say, lack of bandwidth/reliability)...both at our own and other stadiums.
  9. John Hughes has seemingly been interviewed according to the Daily Express. http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/445506/John-Hughes-interviewed-by-Inverness-for-manager-post Aside from paper-talk, If I'm not mistaken, the only concrete facts we know are that the club has interviewed Paul Hartley. Everything else is speculation! I must have missed the clubs press release on Paul Hartley being interviewed!
  10. I can assure you that these updates are purely driven by the Chairman wanting to keep the fans up to date (as much as is possible/practical) and are in no way influenced by, or in response too, the press/media speculation and chat.
  11. The flag was returned to the stadium (by post) this morning and Kenny Cameron asked that I pass on the clubs thanks to the St Johnstone fans who retrieved and returned it (thought not to be the same ones who half inched it in the first place) and to our own fans (namely Capital Caley) who assisted in making that happen.

  13. Why not just concentrate on the football anyway and leave the new manager appointment to the club? Simples!

    ICTFC U20s

Because the U20's are often used to give fringe players and/or players returning from injury a game etc, then it's difficult to build any consistency with the squad which would (should) also build consistency in play and results. IMO, that is one of the biggest problems created by getting rid of the reserve matches which were used for these things, as well as bringing through younger players and giving them game time against (theoretically) stronger opposition.
  15. Where have we heard this before Exactly my thoughts! In a way he isn't lying as the club haven't spoken to him, only Alloa chairman for permission. Weve learnt to take everything said with pinch of salt and if he wasnt a priority we wouldnt have approached him. Odds havent been shortening on Hartley for nothing. Hoping all this is sorted and we get him. Got a good feeling that he is the right man for the job. Both BBC and STV are saying we approached, nobody has denied we have approached. Clarification from the club would be nice IMO If the club jumped to release a statement every time the press/media chose to speculate over something then they'd have no time to do anything else.
  16. Pretty brisk news day I think. You'd think so....lol
  17. No direct quote/info from either club and all subsequent "reports" just a different version on STV's speculation....slow news day?
  18. Honestly thinking that you are on the wind-up now!
  19. Played that game pretty much the same way as we played the Hibs game....but against better opposition. I don't think we really "sat back" as such. We got our noses in front and then as the game progressed we didn't over commit ourselves going forward....and in doing so didn't bring any extra/unnecessary pressure to bare on the defence. Tremarco was the stand out for me today...by the end of the game none of the St Johnstone players looked keen to try and make any kind of move down the left for the fear of encountering him. Thought Marley did really well today also. Didn't shine due to a lack of outlets going forward as the game wore on, but he probably ran (quite literally) more time off the clock than anyone else. He's also getting more accustomed to dropping back to cover when Shinnie pushed forward and had a couple of good defensive tackles. Nick Ross took a smack to the face which resulted in a broken tooth and a burst lip, but he was in good spirits after the game and a dentist somewhere's about to make a few quid. Whoever gets the managers job really is going to feel like all their Christmases have come at once.
  20. Is there any rule that say you MUST have a manger? A lot of things in football seem to happen because "it's always been done that way"...but maybe there's a better way?

  23. Roughly how many tickets have we been allocated? I assume less than last year. No idea.
  24. Centre of the West Stand is where Director, Sponsor & Press seating is....so fans will be nowhere near the centreline.
  25. He has played a few games for the U20s and done pretty well. He offers us an option to throw on a bit of height up front...and unless the new manager is looking to bring in someone else in his place, nobody else offers us that option.
