  1. Only thing I support is ICT.
  2. Big assumption that NewCo are going to get far enough to be drawn against Celtic!!!
  3. Totally agree. The Board seriously need to up their game, not sure if they can and I have said this on previous threads before. Too many people on the board for the wrong reasons. Are not people on the board because they invested in the club. Many many years ago I was told it cost at least £100,000 to join the board at Burnley. There used to be a condition attached to being a Director that you needed to hold a certain number of shares but that has long since been removed.
  4. It is important for all to understand that KC is just a front for "The Builder" and the poor chap is set up to take the flak. He has worked for our dear savior for many many years and he is one of the few who haven't been "let go" over the years. Let's not forget that Kenny's sporting background is very much shinty and far removed from what his position now demands but he really isn't a bad guy. The football business is not an honest one - a fact maybe Kenny is finding hard to deal with. And who's puppet/frontman are you?
  5. One of two things.... - NewCo & OldCo "delegations" are one in the same at the moment and the OldCo still hold a share in the SPL until such time as they are requested to surrender it by the SPL Board (i.e. Doncaster and Co, not the clubs). - They've been invited along for the formal feck off farewell.
  6. Going to close this thread as we seem to have two running to very similar themes and it's getting a tad confusing going back and forth between them.
  7. good idea but its a shame its on a sunday. there will be a lot of people you will miss out on because of that Very quickly heading towards being fully subscribed, so no real concerns about the day/time.
  8. I kinda thought the same on first reading, but you know what...sometimes you just need to draw a line under the negatives and keep focus on the positives....god knows there have been few of them recently. Still going to be tough, and needs everyone pulling together. Absolutely agree - as long as we understand that drawing a line under the negatives does not mean that we don't learn the lessons from them. We cannot afford a repeat of Friday's PR disaster. Hopefully good can come out of it with much better communication in the future. Fans are much more likely to pull together with the club if they are kept properly informed about what is happening.

  10. Guess it's not such a good idea that I should admit to wearing a replica of The One Ring then!!!!
  11. New Statement from Club - http://ictfc.com/news/club-news/548-press-release-from-ict
  12. Wages can't be directly capped, but as the leagues are essentially "member organisations" they can do a lot in terms of placing conditions on membership. They could therefore limit clubs spending on players by applying a "percentage of turnover" cap....along with appropriate controls to stop rich directors/shareholders/owners/fans etc from just passing money through the clubs to give a false turnover. If/when clubs turn a profit then they should be allowed to give players a bonus over and above the wages they received for the season. This would go a long way towards restricting clubs from over stretching themselves without being so restrictive as to stifle progress. Essentially, clubs have to grow as a whole unit and off the park development would not be sacrificed to fund what's happening on the park.
  13. Since so many seem to favour the idea, we could change our name to "Rangers of the North"
  14. If there's anyone, anywhere in the whole setup with the slightest sign of a brain cell then the SFA will force the Joint Proposal for Reform and a Merger on the SFL & SPL.....just as they should have done the minute Rangers were liquidated and this whole sorry mess reached the point of no return. Regan will leave the SFA "by mutual consent", no position will be found for Doncaster in the new setup. The league reconstruction (assumng NewCo can win promotion next season) will see NewCo end up in the second tier for season 2013/14. The SFA, the only ones in Scottish football with any money, to bankroll the transition with SKY/ESPN not being as harsh on cutting the existing deal as they might have been because, despite what Doncaster might have us believe, they actually want a larger more competitive top league as well. Any attempt to give NewCo a foot up by any other means will be suicide for the game and we may as well turn out the lights the moment such an announcement is made.
  15. What a stupid Kant!!!! We'll be relying on you for the updates....just don't drop the phone!!!
  16. Not even the SFA are that stupid.
  17. Can only assume that the immediate financial impact would be from the loss of TV income and not getting the reformation money from the SFA. Unfortunately that just raises further questions, such as....Are SKY saying they would give more money to a larger top league? If they are saying that, then it further damages Doncasters position, because not so long ago he was bleating on about SKY only being interested in giving more money to a smaller top league!!! Something stinks....but the more that trickles out, the more it looks like certain individuals (Regan, Doncaster and their buddies) have been trying to force a separate agenda than what the SPL and SFL clubs have been asking for/working towards. It would certainly help explain the confusion over what some thought was being proposed at the SFL meeting, what was actually proposed and why the seemingly "expected" outcome wasn't achieved.
  18. Again the Press seem to be pushing the "It's because NewCo were put to Div 3" line when that's not what Gilmour has said. He has said the same as Kenny Cameron...it's the rejection of the proposals for reform that are threatening the game.
  19. It's a total Myth that you need to be in debt to go into administration. In fact, administrations has nothing whatsoever to do with being in debt, it comes from a position of not being able to meet your liabilities and ongoing operating costs which, in the case of football clubs, is largely player wages.

  21. Of course it was on the table...how could it have been rejected if it wasn't? Did they reject the proposals or did they ignore them on the day? Did they realise that those proposals were put in front of them to attempt to sway judgement on Rangers? My point is those proposals should not have been handed to SFL alone but sent to all SFA registered clubs to allow them all to digest the content and then look at how best to make the way forward a sensible and productive one. My understanding is that it was sent to all SFA registered clubs.
  22. I've already made my point/s on the reading of the statement throughout the thread. People can take them or leave them as they wish and draw their own conclusions...just as I have done with yours and others. I could sit here and play twist and spin with you all day...we both know each others capabilities in that regard and we both know it would end in stalemate (or Scotty kicking both our asses) and nothing would be gained. If people are going to crucify the guy, then be clear on why they are doing so. Is it because of a poorly worded/constructed/timed press statement, or is it because they truly believe he is bad for the club and is trying to stitch up the fans.
  23. SPL2 seems to be very much a Doncaster thing and I don't believe it has the support of the SPL Clubs.
