Golf Day and Sports Dinner - 7th Spetember - http://ictfc.com/new...a-sports-dinner

I don't think it's a bad idea, but imagine the administrative headache it would cause trying to do something like that? Not to mention the fact that you have to offer away fans the same price as home fans for similar seats (i.e. North and South Stands), so you'd lose income from Away Fans and not be able to recoup that. Keep it really simple....every existing season ticket holder who introduces a new season ticket holder gets £50 (£25 for kids season ticket). That way the "incentive" only pays out for successful transactions. If Season ticket is taken on finance then £50 (£25) is paid out at end of season.

Match Highlights will be produced centrally and go on the the SPL YouTube channel in the first instance, then pulled down to club channels (timescale is still being agreed for the pull down). We will also be looking to produce our own highlights which will lean more towards ICT moments from games. If anyone happens upon highlights from any other games (particularly our pre-season as I have a lot of archive stuff already) then feel free to post/send me the link as I can add them to the relevant playlist on the channel as I have done with the Buckie highlights....even though they originally reside on another channel. There's a whole host of other features available to us as a YouTube partner and we'll be looking to those to see what else we can do and what other video etc we can bring to the fans. As I said in the opening post, we'll be taking it one step at a time and only adding features we have the time and resources to support...in doing that we also hope to create opportunity for more people to get involved with both YouTube and other things within the media team that we hope to add and expand upon throughout this season and beyond.
-
We will be adding archives to the official channel in due course....quite literally hundreds of videos.

Wow, not a single positive in the entire article...hopefully someone is ensuring you are kept away from all sharp objects!!!

Would anyone be interested in assisting with an ICT Wiki project. It's one of those ideas I've had for years but never had the time to do and would need a few people working on it. Essentially we create a wiki within the ICT site with pages for each player that's ever played for us, managers, other club figures moments from our history (and histories pre-merger) and whatever else people think should be on there.

You'd need to call the Travel Line number (not sure you'll get an answer at this hour) to be absolutely certain. Last I heard big and small bus were full, but might be worth chancing it in the morning as there's always someone who doesn't show.

The eve of the new season coming off the back of a summer of total crap and everyone is in fairly buoyant/positive mood....yet all some want to do is find a way to try and undermine the managers position before a ball is even kicked!!!
-
I can't say anything nasty for fear of having my Tufty Club membership revoked. Nobody can predict with any real certainty how things will pan out (outside the top) in a normal SPL season, so I can't see how they can say anything with confidence going into this season with all that's gone on.
-
The club "soft launched" their new Official YouTube Channel this week and it can be found at - http://www.youtube.com/officialict This is part of an SPL wide partnership with YouTube which comes in to play for the new season and as a minimum it will bring videos from pre match interviews, match highlights and post match interviews. Work and discussions are ongoing in regards to what additional content it will bring, but it's hoped that they'll be able to get some behind the scenes videos going (training etc), as well as using it as a platform to promote other services and facilities available at the stadium. This has come about rather quickly and it will take a little time to find our feet with it. The approach being taken is one of "walk before you run" and, quite rightly, the club don't want to over commit and create an unsustainable expectation. It may take a few days to get videos up to begin with, but it's something that will be worked on as people get more used to it and more resources are available to support it. What's equally important to highlight is that this service and the shooting of the videos is entirely fan driven...and at the moment that consists of AndyCam being the man who's behind the camera on everything (and doing the editing)...which you will understand is a lot to ask of one person. That will change as more resources become available (more people get involved) and when that happens then all your ideas and suggestions will be most welcome....and we already have a ton of ideas which include fan videos/interviews, giving you the chance to help and feature in this new project.

When players leave and we need to find alternatives then we do generally hold back and allow others first bite for the reasons you gave. We have always tried to stay faithful to the players we sponsor and we've always opted to support "local" lads....it's what's been the preference of those taking part in the joint sponsorship (in it's various forms) over the years. I don't think we've ever deliberately taken the decision to not continue someone we sponsored in a previous season. If I thought for a moment that someone would not put their money in by sponsoring a different player then I'd maybe think about asking that we step aside, but I don't believe that was the case....it certainly wasn't put to me in that manner.
-
I designed it, and I can assure you that in terms of surface area, it's all exactly equal. I saw the question coming longgggg before you'd even thought about it
-
Online only.

What he said....plus there's a licensing side to it as well I believe. Not sure of the nature of that, but basically if it's a closed doors bounce game then they don't need to tick so many boxes to get approval for the match to go ahead.
-
To be honest, if SKY have agreed to a deal that was anything like the current deal then that's great news for everyone. Granted, part of that will go to Rangers/SFL for purchase of the rights to show those games, but small price to pay in the grand scheme of things....and very likely to have been a demand made by SKY that we could not refuse, regardless of how wrong we think that might be.
-
I believe we are handicapped in this tournament, which means we have to play the younger players and don't have the option of putting out anything like a full strength team.
-
Rather bizarrely the game went straight from full time to penalties with no extra time being played....penalties finished 9-8 (10 taken). Not a bad game all in all and our young lads did well against a very big (physically) Forres team who liked to pack the defence. We controlled the game for large spells, but rode our luck and lost the equaliser towards the end when Forres started to load on the pressure. Ryan Watson got our goal, Gavin Morrison hit the crossbar from a free-kick and Foran should have done better from the rebound which went over the top. Polwarth was also denied by the woodwork when shot across goal came off the upright and rolled along the goal line without going over. As has been the case with all the matches I have seen so far, there were more positives to be taken from the game than negatives and I imagine many of the young lads are going to be pushing for starts this season. From what I saw we also didn't pick up any injuries...which is a blessing!!!
-
No longer running separate travel clubs....this should bring a high 4 figure saving over the season that can then be invested in other things.
-
ICT are away to Forres tonight in the North of Scotland Cup....short notice, but hopefully some will make it along to cheer on the team.

CaleyThistleOnline welcomes the news on the formation of 'Caley Jags Together'. Having worked closely with both groups over the years we know what great people are involved and how much of their time they give to helping the club and the fans. Each has served it's purpose, and done it well, but we believe that by joining forces the new organisation can be greater than the sum of it's parts...something any fan should be able to appreciate since that is what has brought Inverness Caledonian Thistle to where it is today. 'Caley Jags Together' has our full support and we look forward to assisting them with spreading news and facilitating fan discussion on all things ICT. Caley Jags Together Press Release Follows....... ICT Supporters Trust + ICT Supporters Club = Caley Jags Together Inverness Caledonian Thistle Supporters Trust and Supporters Club have come together to form a single fan’s organisation which will be known as ‘Caley Jags Together’. Following discussions between the two groups and Club Chairman, Kenny Cameron, it was agreed that a united fans organisation would better represent the fans of ICT in a number of ways. Supporters Trust, Peter Murphy commented: “In this difficult financial climate it made perfect sense to bring everything together into one group. This enables us to pull together the resources, knowledge and experience of the members of both groups while, at the same time, allowing us to deliver efficiencies in operational costs which allows more of every pound received to be used for the direct benefit of the fans and the club.” Supporters Club, Liz Sutherland commented: “Conversations with Kenny Cameron and Terry Butcher highlighted the growing demand on time and resources for everyone and it therefore made sense that the two fan groups amalgamate and do their bit to reduce that load. The Supporters Club members agree that we should be working together towards a better future for ICT and the new name represents that desire.” We will be working closely together over the coming weeks to ensure the transition is managed as smoothly as possible. The new name for the fan’s group of ‘Caley Jags Together’ fits well with the Supporters Trust and Supporters Club coming together and also ties in well with the recent launch of the ‘All Together Now’ campaign which will see us, the club and the Inverness Courier working together to encourage more local support for ICT. ICT Manager Terry Butcher was pleased by the announcement: “I think it is great. I’ve said before that we have some fantastic people at this club, and that includes the fans. The joining of the two groups is only going to make the bond between ICT, the supporters and the community even stronger and that will benefit everyone. ‘Caley Jags Together’ says it all” One of the immediate benefits to come from the formation of ‘Caley Jags Together’ will kick in with effect from our first game of the season, an away trip to St Mirren. By taking over the operation of the Official Travel Club we believe we can deliver a more efficient service, improve the away-day experience and encourage more fans to follow ICT “on the road”. Caley Jags Together can be found online at ictst.co.uk and via facebook at facebook.com/caleyjagstogether

I've already committed us to covering Sponsorship for Shane Sutherland and Gavin Morrison. Someone else was looking to take them over if we didn't and I made the call that, as they were both "local" lads, then it would be important to people on here that we maintained our support of them. The cost for that (including VAT) is £540. Scotty and I are normally happy to cover a small shortfall, but would prefer to get as many people involved as possible to cover the cost....so spread the word and let's see if we can't get a few more people on board. P.S. I've not forgotten about the draw for last years items, just been uber busy and it's one of the things that keeps getting shunted down the list.
-
I'd assume concession would be made, as they are in other sports they are participating in.
-
Having thought about it a bit more, it may also take money away from the wider community. Plenty of fans coming up this way for games make a weekend of it, by forcing/encouraging these people on to buses that come straight up the road and the straight back down again then you are dissuading them from doing that. My position stands....the only thing this does is put money into the pockets of the bus companies, and not even local bus companies.

I'm pretty certain there's a sign beside the shop door telling people to go to reception when the shop is shut. Had they done that then they would have been sold anything they liked, including a season ticket.
