  1. In the last update we provided a bit of information on each on the ICT Supporters Trust board members (the “Who”) and I want to take the time in this one to cover off a bit of the “Why” by laying out the Purpose and Objectives of the organisation....followed by a run down on a few other matters. The following information is lifted from the Trust Rules, which you can download in full by clicking here. COMMUNITY BENEFIT PURPOSE The Society’s purpose is to be the vehicle through which a healthy, balanced and constructive relationship between the Club and its supporters and the communities it serves is encouraged and developed. The business of the Society is to be conducted for the benefit of the community served by the Club and not for the profit of its members. OBJECTIVES The Society’s objects are to benefit the community by: being the democratic and representative voice of the supporters of the Club and strengthening the bonds between the Club and the communities which it serves; achieving the greatest possible supporter and community influence in the running and ownership of the Club; promoting responsible and constructive community engagement by present and future members of the communities served by the Club and encouraging the Club to do the same; operating democratically, fairly, sustainably, transparently and with financial responsibility and encouraging the Club to do the same; being a positive, inclusive and representative organisation, open and accessible to all supporters of the Club regardless of their age, income, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexuality or religious or moral belief. For the most part, the above is pretty self explanatory and it's clear that the remit of a Supporters Trust runs way beyond what would be expected from a more traditional supporters club which operated very much for the benefit of it's members. As explained previously, the focus of the board on the run up to the AGM on the 6th December 2018 has, and will continue to be, getting the organisation back into a position to more actively pursue it's objectives. You will hear more from the board on that in due course as we'll be proposing some projects and gauging members opinion on where the trust priorities should lie. NEW MEMBERSHIP SYSTEM Jen Aitchison (Trust Secretary) has been working hard to review the options open to us for creating a more efficient and streamlined membership system. Past endeavours and a desire to avoid costs has, quite literally, resulted in an even larger cost because the organisation has lost contact with it’s members and ended up with lists which are out of date, incomplete or otherwise not particularly accessible or user friendly. For that reason we have taken the decision not to try re-inventing the wheel and spend a small amount of money on a system which is designed and developed by a third party. Aside from being more robust, it frees up a bit more of our time to spend on other projects. Existing members for whom we hold a valid email address should have received communication asking them to log in and confirm the details we hold. If you have not received that email, please contact us on [email protected] and we will look into it. We will be contacting everyone else by other means. We’re not quite ready to open up to new members just yet, but all the parts are in place and testing has been done. Once we get it connected to the new website we’ll be good to go with accepting new members. NEW LOGO Although we have decided to make sole use of the ICT Supporters Trust name, we won’t be using the previously associated logo. For the most part that is a practical decision as it was difficult (and expensive) to reproduce….but we also think it would good to have a fresh new logo and that our members could have some input into what it should be. Details on how you can do that will be provided in due course. WEBSITE, EMAIL & SOCIAL MEDIA There’s nothing ready to see on the website quite yet (all the work is going on in the background) but the new online home of the ICT Supporters Trust will be ict.supporterstrust.org and you can now contact us in regards to membership matters on [email protected] with immediate effect. Don’t panic, we’ll be redirecting old email addresses to the new one so we won’t miss/have missed anything sent to us via them recently….or over the next 12 months (at least). The sharp eyed among you will also have noticed that the name on our social media channels has already changed. If you already followed the Caley Jags Together accounts you will still be following us on the new name and if you don’t already follow us then the links are as follows…. Twitter : twitter.com/ICTSuppTrust Facebook : facebook.com/ICTSupportersTrust/ - The URL has changed here and we are waiting on Facebook changing the page title. ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING As previously advised, the ICT Supporters Trust will be holding their AGM on Thursday 6th December 2018 (date and location to be advised). The process leading up to the AGM kicks off at the start of October and one of the requirements is for us to have an Election Management Group (EMG) in place at that time. As per our Election Policy the EMG members can not be serving board members (with the exception of the Secretary), persons standing for election or have a close association with anyone standing for election. We, the board, must appoint persons from among our members, with the exception of the EMG Chairman who must not be a member of the society. The EMG exists to ensure that the election is run in accordance with the Election Policy, to make the final decision as the eligibility of candidates, nominations and valid votes. They will also conduct the count. If this is something you are able to assist with, then please get in touch with us on [email protected] My thanks, once again, goes to the wider Supporters Trust Board for their ongoing diligence....and to our members for their ongoing support, patience and understanding. Best regards, Don Johnstone (aka CaleyD) Chairman - ICT Supporters Trust
  2. I think you are forgetting that he had a magic hat!! Clearly someone stole it from it at some point, though!
  3. Please note that, having spoken to the Social Club, we can confirm that the bus will depart from there at 12:15pm and then head to Railway terrace for pick ups at 12:30pm. I'm told that the Social Club will be serving breakfast from 11am for those who want a bit of food before they depart ? Can also confirm that if there are any unsold seats on the bus, then these will be available on a first come/first served basis on the day.
  4. I don't think we collapsed in the second half...well, not as is being suggested. We had a great first half and got the job done, then it looked more like us going into self preservation mode as we clearly have one or two players out there who were/are carrying knocks and niggles. Not sure what the excuse was for the officials, they were woeful.....bad, not bias.
  5. Reminder that the survey ends tomorrow.
  6. Got a good feeling about today.....3-0 for the Caley Jags is my prediction ?
  7. You've not allowed for the time difference...it was about 5 hours after.
  8. Here is the rules on solidarity payments...so I would say we were due 0.5% of the total compensation paid. If it is £7 Million, then we'd be due £35k...if I'm reading it right.
  9. We should take it to Claggan Park; and as a proper gesture of Community Spirit, allow them to keep all proceeds from the gate.
  10. The escalated fast!!
  11. Our younger players will really be giving Robbo some food for thought when it comes to squad selection. I was going to suggest "long may that continue"...but it should actually be "long may it not continue" and a few more get a chance to step up ?
  12. Fans Bus leaving at 12:30pm from Railway Terrace and returning straight after the game -
  13. ICTFC FANS BUS to THE HIGHLAND DERBY The ICT Supporters Trust will be running a bus to the Highland Derby v Ross County in Dingwall on 22nd September 2018 - Departing at 12:15pm from the ICT Social Club (Greig St) and 12:30pm from Railway Terrace....returning to same immediately (well, once you've all had a chance to get back on board) after the match. The price is £6 per person (regardless of age) and will include a free set of "Bang Bang" sticks to assist in MAKING SOME NOISE FOR THE CALEY THISTLE BOYS!!! (I make no apology for the cheesy nature of that last bit!) In order to simplify the process, we are asking that people book in advance via EventBrite by CLICKING HERE. Please note - spaces are limited and this is the only way we are able to accept bookings for the bus. Please also note - NO alcohol is permitted on the bus. Anyone believed to be in possession of alcohol will be refused boarding, if they are already aboard, they will be asked to leave. There will be ample time for refreshments when we arrive in Dingwall. Any questions or queries can be sent to [email protected] Let's get right behind the team and make sure bragging rights return to this side of the bridge....Ding Ding....All Aboard
  14. Would the Travel Club bus not get you back in time...assuming it's returning straight after the game?
  15. The Scottish Football Fans Association are running a "Female Fans Survey" and the ICT Supporters Trust are encouraging as many females as possible to have their say. For further information, and the survey itself, check out the following link... https://scottishfsa.org/female-fans/ Survey closes on 16th September.
  16. If you've not completed the survey yet, please do. It has been agreed that the questions in this survey will be set for 3 years to allow proper analysis to be done on what progress is, or isn't, being made in the areas being covered. http://www.scottishsupporters.net/survey/
  17. I would answer that, but I fear it might encourage Charles Bannerman out of his CTO retirement!
  18. Robbo has/had an account (in his own name) and has posted on here a few times, so clearly loves the place.
  19. We did have at one point, but they went off on their own (might actually have become Inverness City Ladies team).....not entirely sure why.
  20. The vast majority of "glory hunters" don't even attend games, many will never have set foot inside the stadium of the team they "follow" and watch it all on TV.....so you could move them to the other side of the planet and it wouldn't matter a jot.
  21. Just a quick note in regards to where the ICT Supporters Trust sits at the moment.... As many of you will be aware, there was a fairly recent change of board with the Supporters Trust which came about as the result of a call from members who had concerns over the state the organisation had found itself in. When the new board took over, we communicated that the first order of business would be to sort out our own internal affairs and operations; with a view to presenting a society that was fit for purpose at the next AGM (set for December this year). We should (without doubt) be taking a lead on many of the issues being raised in this thread, but the harsh reality is that the Supporters Trust inherited by the current board was in no position to be calling into question the clubs governance, communication etc. whilst it's own was a total shambles. We have made solid inroads into getting our own house in order and we have also had an initial introductory meeting with the Club CEO, Yvonne Crook. The Supporters Trust has a board meeting of their own on Thursday and we intend to issue a more comprehensive update on where we are at with various items by the start of next week. None of the above should preclude individuals from raising concerns direct with the club. In the absence of a direct address, an email to [email protected] with a request to forward it to the CEO is probably the best way for doing that.
  22. ICT Supporters Trust urge ALL fans to take the time to complete the Scottish Football Supporters Survey which was launched by Supporters Direct Scotland today. It has been agreed that the questions in this survey will be set for 3 years to allow proper analysis to be done on what progress is, or isn't, being made in the areas being covered. http://www.scottishsupporters.net/survey/ Survey closes 16th September.
  23. Reverting to the previous name has no impact whatsoever on the voting right and/or the fact that, as per the football club articles, it is held by the ICT Supporters Society Ltd.
  24. What’s in a name? In our case….it’s not what’s in a name, it’s having too many of them!! ICT Supporters Society Ltd - This is the organisations legally registered name…and we are Limited Liability company (LTD) with Community Benefits Society status (think co-operative). As such we file our documents with the FCA and not Companies House, you can get further info at https://mutuals.fsa.gov.uk/SocietyDetails.aspx?Number=2665&Suffix=RS ICT Supporters Trust - This was the originally adopted trading name of the society and it has it’s routes in the Supporters Trust movement which has grown over the last 10 to 15 years. I’ll come back to this in a moment. Caley Jags Together - The additional trading name that was adopted most recently when it was decided to bring together the functions of the Supporters Club and the Supporters Trust. It’s become painfully apparent to us that we need to remove the confusion, so going forward we have decided that we will no longer make use of the “Caley Jags Together” name and will revert to sole use of “ICT Supporters Trust”. When the two supporters groups merged, the Supporters Club’s main function was operating the supporters buses. Now that this function has been moved on to the ICT Supporters Travel Club, which has no direct affiliation with the ICT Supporters Trust, then we are comfortable that we are not betraying or going back on any previous agreements to use the Caley Jags Together name. We have already begun changing our name on social media platforms and are in the process of getting the new website ready to launch, along with the new member joining/renewing/management system which will be a large part of that. This is a sizeable step in our bringing the organisation back to where it needs to be in order to best serve the it's members and the wider ICTFC Community.
