Using the Map that Gringo found earlier in this thread and then overlaying it on to a modern day map as best I could, it would seem that Lotland Street runs right through the centre spot of the old Citadel Football Ground. [attach=1]

find myself agreeing with an admin.... :001: :001: Ya get nothing for sooking up around here :015:
  4. Bet your glad they didn't ask us for a character reference :015: I had a few jobs whilst growing up........... - First was probably the regular Saturday and Sunday run to the shop to get the messages for all the elderly neighbours. - Then I had a job as a paperboy 7 days a week in all weather. - Worked for the Guibarelli's (Sp?) in Oh Mama Mia, Hilton and at the Bught. - Did my first Disco at the age of 12 and last one at age of 26. - Worked one summer holidays for Tom and Margaret in the Butchers in the Market. - Worked one summer holidays at Scott Oswald Accountants where I got my first real loathing for Taxi Drivers - had nothing to do with their driving and everything to do with having a fecking biscuit tin full of receipts plonked in front of me and told to sort them all out and prepare their books for auditing. Although I still get extreme satisfaction from knowing they were being charged extortionate sums of money for my time. In fact, I used to think nothing of going out to do my paper round before school, spending the day at school (or doing a summer job) then heading to the chipper and working till 11 at night - and I still left school with 2 A's, 3 B's, a C and a list of Scotvec's the length of my arm :001:

    What a bizarre question :017:
  11. Doesn't say anywhere on the form that shirts would be posted out.
  12. Kiltarlity, sadly it's not the case that people would require such an income and that is why so many people are in debt up to their eyeballs from the moment they buy their first home until the day they retire (and beyond). With more and more lenders offering up to five times salary people are stretching themselves beyond breaking point. In fact, it's becoming more and more popular for people to take on Interest Only mortgages now with no intention of repaying any of the capital until they are 5 or 10 years in to it to allow for income to catch up with affordability. I still think we are a good few years from a market crash and would still advise those who are able to get on to the property ladder ASAP, but give it another couple of years and I'd be avoiding investing in property like the plague.
  13. Where are you finding a house for 64K in Inverness? You'd be very lucky to find a 1 bedroom flat for that these days, and even then you can be sure it would need 10 to 15k worth of work done on it. Your looking at something in the region of ?155,000 for a 2 Bedroom Tulloch new build flat/maisonette in Inverness just now.
  14. Don't laugh....these are the same guys that operate the Tea Bars at ICT :029: My Niece works for them, apparently their was a mix up with the pie and sausage roll order. She was in stitches because she's never seen so many grown men throw such a strop over not being able to get a pie and that they seemed more interested in standing and shouting and bawling at the counter staff than watching the game :015:
  15. Let me clear up one myth right here and now - IHE was NOT responsible for the site being taken offline. A few people have used it as an "excuse" for their actions but these actions were in now way instigated or supported by IHE.
  16. I often wonder about who makes the final decision when they pick the POTM in the Highland News as it rarely seems to match anything I've witnessed but I think they've got it spot on for August with Cowie. He's proving more than capable at this level and long may it continue.
  17. I can but apologise for any lasting psychological damage :015:
  18. Welcome aboard the HMS Sneck. We're quite a friendly bunch so don't be afraid to dive in and get chatting, both on here and in the pub/at games. Pre-Match Pub is the Innes for the "Internutters". Just ask for TheMann4TheJob when you get there and he'll buy you a welcome drink. :022:
  19. We did everything right at Easter Road (except score), so I'd go with the same starting line up and then take it from there depending on how the game is progressing.
  20. There's only so much a person can deal with before the red mist comes down and you lose the ability to remain rational and make proper decisions. Banning individual users was an option we considered but we were so angry and upset at the shear volume of crap we had to deal with that had we gone down that route then we risked those with genuine concerns and questions getting caught in the crossfire. That wouldn't have done us, the site or any of it's users any good. The actions were extreme, but I'm sure being without the site for a few hours never had any impact on your personal lives. I wish the same could be said in regards to the events that led to the decision - some people seem to be under the illusion that we are here to simply take whatever they have to throw at us. This is not our full-time job, although it seems like it at times, we do not get paid for this (quite the opposite) and if people cannot accept the guidelines needed to allow the site to operate responsibly then they know where the door is.
  21. Punishment comes in many forms, it doesn't have to be physical.
  22. Is this the guy who was suppose to have changed his mind about coming for a trial with us when half way up the A9?
  23. Some of you may have discovered this already through trial an error but you can access this forum via WAP on your mobile phone. To simply view the site you just go to - caleythistleonline.com That will only let you view the public forums and threads though. To get the full forum you need to login and you can do that via caleythistleonline.com/community/index.php?action=login When I get a chance I'll see if I can't knock up some shorter URL's which will be easier to use/remember. Have Fun :001:
  24. I don't think we need go hunting for anything specific...when the right tune comes along we'll all just know it's meant to be. In the meantime though a bit of creativity wouldn't go amiss.
  25. Ditto
