  1. Other than caging everyone in you will never be able to prevent the odd fan making an idiot of himself by entering the field of play. Provided Celtic can prove that they took reasonably precautions in trying to prevent it then I don't think it merits any fine on the club. The individual however should be dealt with accordingly - a 12 month ban and however the courts want to treat it in terms of Breach of the Peace, actions which could incite trouble or whatever the charge may be. The AC Milan Keeper should be treated no different than the fan IMO as his actions could have caused a riot/trouble between both sets of fans. UEFA should throw the book at him and he should also be facing legal charges in connection with actions that could incite trouble. I was glad to see that after the game both Strachan and Ancelotti were not going to be drawn on berating each other on the subject. Strachan, rightly, refusing to comment and Ancelotti making the point that it had no impact on the outcome of the game and that he would leave it to UEFA to deal with it and would not be making representation.
  2. Maimie, you'll be surprised at just how often that happens. My parents get the same request all the time and are only too happy to oblige if it is a regular or someone they know.
  3. I'm certain that the rules on the back of the ticket only say something about you not being able to sell tickets for more than the face value. The "Official Answer" given above does not make sense as this would not allow for situations where someone might purchase a ticket for a friend in advance and then get the money off them afterwards. Also, what about all the corporate customers who buy blocks of seats and give out tickets to staff/clients...would that not be considered a ticket transfer? I can find nothing (in writing) that states tickets are "non-transferable" either before or after entering the stadium.
  4. Your looking at it right now :016:
  5. Comic moment of the day... Mee: "Is Dean McDonald any good, I haven't seen him playing this season" (or words to that effect) Deano collects the ball at the right edge of the area, fakes the run wide and jinks inside past the defender before slotting it away with his left foot. Uncle Albert: "I think that answers that one"
  6. Gretna and Aberdeen buses are filling up fast so if you want a seat on either of these then you better get in quick. If you haven't confirmed with me that you definitely have a seat or I've not e.mailed/messaged you to confirm then please get in touch so I can ensure I've not missed anyone. Those of you who are "Maybe's" also need to make up your mind soon as I don't want to turn down other people and then find you can't make it. Mucho Grassy ***.
  7. Not all bus drivers are grumpy barstewards and I like to make sure my passengers are well looked after...makes for better tips :001:
  8. Unfortunately we have very little control over the adverts that are displayed due to the dynamic nature of the way it works. However there is something quite satisfying in knowing that we're taking money from another clubs pocket :003:
  9. Sure, what time? :016:
  10. Happy to remove the adverts if your happy to pay the sites running costs :001:
  11. I suspect that's the last thing they would want to give you :015:
  12. Bollocks to that Johndo, the simple fact of the matter is it should never have got to the stage it did. Had you not been turfed out for that then they would have found some other excuse - you know that, I know that and the people responsible know that. As I said already, the only thing you were guilty of was not sitting on your hands and keeping silent for the entire match and as far as I am concerned you are not the one who should be feeling ashamed and disgraced.
  13. Because if an Inspector should board the bus and you are not in possession of a ticket then he can ask you to pay again. Should you refuse he will ask for your name and address and you will be sent an invoice for the fare plus admin costs, should you refuse to pay that then you will then be taken to court for the debt - trust me, it does happen. Should you refuse to provide your name and address then you will be reported to the police and CCTV footage will be used in order to identify you. All in all...it's really much easier to put up with the burden of the extra weight :015:
  14. No word eating here, his behaviour at that time was atrocious and he, deservedly, got the sharp end of a few peoples tongues as a result. I'm all for acknowledging his change in temperament, but to praise someone for behaving themselves is going a bit over the top. Hundreds of players manage not to act like neds on the park every week, you don't hear people singing their praises for it.
  15. I blame the site moderators - I was going to do the Bouncy but themann4thejob stopped me :015:
  16. Kaiser Chiefs - I Predict a Riot would be an apt song at present.
  17. Just put up my Match Report Clicky Clicky So many positives from todays performance that it's a certainty that I'll have missed stuff. Thought we were giving them a little too much space at times, but that may have been a result of the fact that they weren't really threatening us so we could afford to stand off a little and play our game instead of chasing theirs. As I said in the report, we looked like a team who were out there with something to prove and we proved it in style. Would have been easy for us to have just shut up shop at 4-2, but the team were far to hungry for them to do that. I don't think we had a player on the pitch today who didn't have a shot at goal at some point or other and the fact that our goals are coming from everywhere will serve us well throughout the season. Niculae has now proved he's here to play his part IMO, even of he doesn't score double figures this season his contributin in setting up others will pay dividends.
  18. The Stewarding today wasn't heavy handed, but it was very "tactical" - todays tactic being divide and conquer. We knew ourselves what was going to happen today, the only thing he was guilty of was giving them the opportunity. He's no saint, none of us are, but it's a sad day when the only way someone is going to be allowed to remain in the ground is if they sit silently on their hands for the entire 90 minutes, just because they have upset the powers that be in the past. It's getting to the stage where people are feeling afraid to speak out against the club for fear of being singled out for persecution. I've said it elsewhere. Our fans did not become hooligans overnight, so why all of a sudden are we witnessing people being ejected at every game? Something has changed and it's not the fans, someone somewhere within ICT is on some kind of ego/power trip and the sooner they are weeded out the better as they are doing severe and possibly irrepairable damage if it is allowed to continue.
  19. The Club are using the letter of the law (actually not the law, the SPL rules) in order to try and prove some point. The Stewards only act on the instructions given to them by the Club and Safety Officer (Mike Smith). It was obvious on entering the stadium today that they had been instructed to break up the group of lads who normally try and sit together and get a bit of craic and singing/chanting going. The club can call it a Random Ticket Check if they like, but it was so random it was isolated to the back of Section G!!!! - Although I do believe that in order to redress the balance a Falkirk fan who was sitting on his own in the South Stand had his ticket checked and was moved to sit in his correct seat!!!! One fan was ejected from the ground, and as I haven't spoken to him since I cannot confirm why, all I can do is tell what I saw. Fans were being moved for not having the ticket for the seat they were in, the fan who was ejected stood up and offered to let one of the lads have the seat he was in and said he would move further along to sit with others he knew. No secret to the fact that this fan has ruffled the feathers of the club in the past and him making himself known like this seemed to be all the excuse they needed to have him removed from the North Stand and sent to the Main Stand where his ticket was for. At no time did he resist, at no time was he abusive, nor did he act in a disorderly fashion, yet by the time he had reached the barrier between North and Main stand the police had been called to intervene. He was allowed to take a seat in the Main Stand but shortly afterwards was removed from the stadium by the police. If it is true that he was removed for being drunk then I'd say that the police and stewards involved lead a very sheltered life if they think that is a drunk person. The club can hide behind "The Rules" all they like, but IMO they are totally out of order in their recent handling of crowd situations...in fact, I would say that their approach is the cause of the recent situations and if they keep it up then it wouldn't surprise me if we do see a serious situation developing as a result.
  20. Dodododo Dennis Wyness
  21. Not clearing our line quick enough and giving them too much space to run at us just now
  22. All our games have been top drawer although duncans got a deflection. Falkirk lucky to score as fraser was caught wrong footed. We need to be closing down a bit quicker in the middle or we will get caught out.
  23. I got off to a good start and won the second race, then it all went down hill faster than a fat man on a skateboard :029: One thing's for sure, I won't be betting on #6 to score first today :015:
  24. Assuming the Aberdeen game is a 7:45 kick-off then I'm hoping to leave around 4/4:30. Early enough to give everyone a chance to grab a a drink pre-match, but not so early as people can't bunk off work in time to go :001:
  25. With all the roadworks etc down that way I want to make sure we get there in time for the pubs opening :001: Plus you know what it's like...tell everyone to be there for 9 and they'll all be feckin late :015:
