I thought you said we should all be getting behind the team :023: :016: :016: :016:
  2. If Brown hadn't have moved on to allow Fraser his chance then he would have left ICT in the summer. I do think we need a more experienced backup, but I haven't seen anything yet that justifies dropping Fraser from the starting line up every week.
  3. Which clubs would have the funds to lure away the likes of Ferguson and Wenger and offer them a better wage at a bigger club? Your comparison is nonsense IMO. Very good point, why don't you ask the Board who are the ones who seem to have changed the formula on this occasion.
  4. This "off at the first opportunity" line that keeps getting trotted out does my head in. The only managers that are going to attract interest from anyone else are successful ones, so if you follow through on the logic of the statement then we should be hiring the worst possible candidates to make sure that they stay here for a long time. What would you rather do.... - share in the success of a good manager for a shorter period of time and progress as a club or - struggle with a rubbish/mediocre manager who isn't going anywhere and not progress as a club If Brewster has been appointed on the basis that he'll not end up going elsewhere in 12 to 18 months then it's even scarier than the thought of him being hired because he was a mate of the Director of Football. I want the best Managers and Players we can afford to be at this club and I want them to be as successful as they possibly can be. If that means we have a large turnover of players and managers then so be it, so long as the team as a whole progresses and we keep moving up the table.
  5. That was a bit below the belt
  6. It's starting to sound like a pensioners day out - think I should attend to try and bring the average age back below 65 :001:
  7. I had a whole page of stuff typed up in reply, but it's nothing I haven't said before and it contained info that would likely do more damage than good in the long run. Here it is in a nutshell. Do I think my opinion would make a difference? Probably not. Do I think the overall fans opinions would have made a difference? Probably not. Do I think we deserved to be acknowledged for at least having an opinion? Most definitely. It's not about the outcome, it's about the ways and means and the club showing a little respect for the fans. I spoke to Alan Savage and Grassa very briefly after the meeting the other night, looked them in the eye, shook their hands and believed they actually might be listening. The quotes on the BBC website prove I was wrong in my assessment. It's not a mistake I will be quick to make again.
  8. 1. The Scotsman Numerous mistakes throughout the article with regards to player names and recall of events and then to top it all off the closing line reckons the Caley Thistle fans see Craig Brewster as "The Messiah" :029: 2. BBC] According to Grassa the manager will be announced tomorrow - their will be no surprises in who is appointed and the decision was unanimous. A further display of arrogance and more proof (if it was needed) that our opinion counted for feck all.
  9. As I said to others today - we are currently disorganised, disinterested and heads are going down quickly, things this team could never have been accused of in the past. It wasn't all that long ago our lads would walk off the pitch after a defeat and still have heads held high because they knew themselves they had given their all....they need to get that spirit and fight back and we need to start believing in them again.
  10. You can argue all you like about "Brewster the Manager" but their is little argument against "Brewster the Player", given the bizarre events of the last week however, it would not surprise me in the slightest if the Board said he had to drop any ideas of playing and concentrate on his weakest element.
  11. Wanderer, I haven't dished out any abuse at Brewster, personal or otherwise. My disgust lies firmly at the feet of those who's actions I believe put the club in the situation it now finds itself. I didn't think Brewster was the right person for the job, and I still don't, but the team will still get my support. If Brewster turns things around then I will quite happily give credit where it is due. If he doesn't then I will give criticism where it is due. But you can be sure of one thing, regardless of the outcome, I WILL NOT forgive the board for the way we (the fans) have been treated and the manner in which they have made this appointment. Their are problems at ICT and they run far far deeper than the man leading the team - the sooner some people wake up and realise that the better.
  12. Denial - Anger - Bargaining - Depression - Acceptance Just tick off the boxes as you go along folks :004:
  13. Is it April 1st and the BBC are making all ICT fans listen to Brewster as some kind of sick joke? :015:
  14. We are supposed to be on 103-105 fm which is not us and also internet wrong match too
  15. I'm staging a one man boycott :004: Ok, so am not really, but I do have a bad chest infection and I'm still trying to decide if it's worth risking a spell in hospital to attend the game :015:
  16. We will never know the truth....or should I say....we will never be told the truth. One thing is certain, and that's that this whole thing stinks. I would swear on my own life and the life of all those close to me that during the meeting the other night that I heard Alan Savage say that Warnock had thrown his hat in the ring by applying. Only one paper picked up on it and I can only imagine that AS must have been quick to cover up the statement in his post meeting interviews with the rest of the press when more wasn't made of the fact. Aside from all the obvious lies that have been told of late, this is just another in a long list of PR balls ups by ICT and another glaringly obvious display of the total contempt they have for the fans of this club. I'm not surprised Warnock wants to distance himself from this shambles. It wouldn't surprise me if Brewster was the only realistic option...if I was a manager or hopeful of making this my first step into management then I too would have taken one look at what was going on here and avoided it like the plague. Forget Brewster's stats and the IF's and BUT's and doom and gloom stories of how bad he may or may not be. That's not where the damage has been done. I am angry about the way it's been handled, of that I have no doubt. I also thought I was a little angry at the fact it was Brewster, but with this news I have realised that if I'm honest then I'm not really. I am a little concerned about his managerial record at Dundee Utd, but if I protest in any way it will not be direct at Brewster himself. I just hope that everybody has learned a little something about the way our club is run from this experience.
  17. Think your list needs a lot of reworking!!!
  18. Jonathan Smith???
  19. Own up, what have you done with the real Charles Bannerman. I don't believe for one second he would have managed a post of only 2 lines. :016:
  20. A valid point and one which I will cover later, but your still not telling me what phenomenon the "Highland Curse" represents, what situation or actions empower it. Also a valid point and one which plays a factor in my theory. The Immortal One has asked that I let you all sleep on it so as he can experiment with his thought transfer powers. If it works someone should have hit on the "Bigger Picture" at some point tomorrow morning.
  21. This forum does not tolerate users dishing out personal abuse to each other. It stops now. By all means disagree and debate but any more personal stuff and I will not hesitate to remove the ability for the offenders to do so again.
  22. The question is "why?" not "who?"
  23. Catch 22 - we really don't want to be doing anything that is going to increase an already bulging server when the site is as busy as it is now, and it is not required so much when the site is quieter.
  24. Demand a refund, legally they can't refuse as they have failed to deliver and you'll still get yer name on the top as it will be too late to have it changed :015:

    Defender Wanted

I'm on a bit of a "Total Recall" mission at the moment, but I'm sure what Grassa said was...All transfers were immediately halted when CC resigned - If they hadn't appointed a new manager by the weekend then the decision would be left to Park - If they had appointed a new manager then transfers would be up to him. I'm not 100% certain of my memory on the DP bit, but I'm fairly certain that someone was going to make a decision soas we wouldn't be left short handed at the back.
