  1. From memory it was Alan Savage that said (in reference to Warnock) something along the lines of "he had thrown his hat into the ring by applying and would be considered along with the other candidates".
  2. He never did manage to catch up with me that day :001:
  3. Philosophy, not Prophecy is what I have offered to share... The "Highland Curse" - A belief among those who support ICT that anyone departing the stadium seeking greener pastures will be met with misfortune. A curse for others, a gift for us....but not if you take a closer look. A couple of you have chosen to mock the idea of "a curse" and you know what, your spot on. Curses don't exist, but if they don't exist then something else must exist to explain why those departing from ICT rarely flourish. Think some more and I'll get back to you again in a bit....
  4. Your not the only person in that frame of mind right now Scotty. I have typed up, edited and re-edited many of my posts today because on re-reading them they have contained things which are not for the saying right now or will be regretted later. The only way to express things right now is to say that I feel like I've been punched square in the gut and hand the wind knocked out of me. That's not because it is looking like a certainty that Brewster is to be appointed Manager, it is because of the way this whole thing has been handled. A certain level of respect and trust must exist between the fans and the Board of any club. Don't get me wrong, there are faults on both sides, but the club have been the ones driving the wedge for far too long and I fear this is the hammer blow that will send it all the way home.
  5. This person has had their posting privileges temporarily revoked. The Admin and Moderators have been fairly easy going in allowing people to vent their frustrations this last week but this goes beyond anything which can or will be tolerated.
  6. If Warnock, or anyone else (including the club), wishes to issue a statement to the fans via this website then they are welcome to do so. We will print any statement they wish to make in full and unedited.
  7. Rossco is also the man who sat at the fans forum and said the team didn't enjoy the way Brewster took training.
  8. Could the "Highland Curse" which we often find solace in when players and managers go elsewhere and fail also be our biggest hindrance??? I have a theory, but would like to hear other people's reactions to the above question.
  9. IF this turns out to be true (and it seems very likely) then I feel that the BoD have not only let the fans down inthe way the have dealt with the whole thing, but they have let the team down by denying them the opportunity to work with an experienced Manager. On that basis I would find it hard to make my protest by staying away (although right now motivation to attend is very low). The team do not deserve to be punished because of the actions of the BoD. I fully respect the right of everyone to protest in a manner that they see fit (with the exception of violence) but I shall, for now, be choosing to protest in a different manner.
  10. All of the thinking was, IMO, that he was never likely to be interested but the club wanted to appear like they were looking elsewhere.
  11. In typical IHE fashion.......Feck me, it seems the penny is dropping at last. This club once had tremendous fire in it's belly, we had a man leading the way that would give Warnock a run for his money in the "fiery" stakes - Bring back David Sutherland...at least he had balls and would have played us straight on the whole affair, regardless of who was appointed.
  12. Nice guy Mr Brewster who was loving everything at ICT and playing down speculation about him moving on because he wanted to show loyalty for the opportunity they gave him and then a few days later jumped ship and apparently regrets ever having done it and who would (according to Grassa) walk across the Firth to get back to ICT also seems to now be Nice Guy Mr Brewster who doesn't want to let Aberdeen down tomorrow by signing on the line with ICT until after they play Hibs (for that I read "no burning my bridges). Helluva long sentence that, but in short, my point is....If he is so into coming to ICT why not accept the job now? Why help the opposition try and secure further points before making the move? He has a lot of "making up" to do with the fans and already he appears to be getting off on the wrong foot. He tried the same when he left us, offering to stay in charge for a game or two before moving...is he really that arrogant, or just plain stupid?
  13. ICTJaggie - Your guesstimates as to Warnocks salary at Sheffield and what he could get here (based on previous managers salaries) could not be further off the mark if you tried.
  14. I thought the same Clacher....but it would seem to be true The Herald The Times
  15. I'd rather be kept in suspenders than have the boo boys going full-tilt at his appointment during the match on Saturday.
  16. Surely Mr Hankey would get the job as number 2?
  17. If Brewster is appointed Manager the club would be wise to hold off on announcing the decision until Monday.
  18. No idea what your on about Alex :023:
  19. Foghorn Leghorn (Who incidentally reminds me a bit of Warnock) Why? - I think one or two players need a kick up the butt and the way FL attacks Barnyard Dog with the plank of wood kinda brings that to mind.
  20. At the moment many people do not see Brewster as the right appointment and they are rightly voicing those concerns (even if some are going a bit OTT). I think it is possible however to support the team without supporting the manger, although I wouldn't go so far as as shouting abuse at the guy. The truth is, should Brewster be in the dugout on Saturday, I just don't know how I will feel about the whole thing or how that will impact on the way I support ICT.

    New job for CC

Since you confirm it is a rumour then it can live here in the rumour mill.
  22. Poor Juanjo...how long has he been unable to get his leg over now?

    Coyle Talking

Let me think..... - An extra 6 figures to bring in Coyle or - An extra 6 figures to bring in Warnock It's a total no-brainer and I would be extremely upset if the cash was used for Coyle if Warnock could have been taken in at similar expense.
