  1. Rangers seem to have kicked things off playing very physical football and I think we'll need to utilise some of our "bigger" players from the start if we're to absorb that kind of play. I also think that 5 across the middle is the bet way to compensate for that kind of opposition, plenty of bodies in the midfield so we can string lots of passes together, reducing each players time on the ball and thus the chances of being kicked to shreds. Leave Wilson on the right, put Duncan in the middle and sacrafice Rankin for Paatelainen. If you want to put someone just in front of the middle line then use Hart although I think a flat 5 across the middle makes more sense with them adjusting to cover anyone who goes forward to support Wyness or drops back in support of the back 4. Save the fresh legs and nippy running of the smaller guys like Rankin (for Paatelainen) and Zander (for Wilson) for later in the game when they can come on against tired legs and operate to full effect. Possibly even look to changing back to a 4-4-2 to increase our attacking threat. Not tonight, I've got a sore head.
  2. McBain on the right? Are you having a giraffe?
  3. It was just sitting there minding it's own business
  4. Not many terracings had roofs but they did have atmosphere. They also contained far larger numbers than it is possible to accommodate in all-seated areas. I can understand the concerns about not having a roof, both from an acoustics point of view and the point of view that some people may give it a miss for fear of the weather not being the best. However the statement says that plans are in place for one to be added. I think the club have done well to get a stand of any form in place for this game and a delay in the addition of a roof isn't a huge issue.
  5. As I've said before, you can't expect to sit in the stands and give pelters to any player and then start crying about it when they give you a bit back.
  6. Couldn't help but laugh at the quote in todays Courier.... Here was me thinking that it was the Stewards who caused the issues at the Dunfermline game when all along it was the location of the singing section!!!!

    TCF is a wind-up right?
  8. Considering Dods and Rankin were the scorers in our 2-1 win then maybe not such a bad idea :015:
  9. We took 7 points off Rangers last season without Niculae or MacDonald - have a little faith :001:

Couple of pics of Munro using sign language to communicate with the big fella....the language barrier may explained why he occasionally looked 'lost'. Any guesses as to the conversation? [attach=1] [attach=2] More pics from the pre-season friendlies can be found in the sites Photo Gallery
  11. I believe they had hoped to make it larger, but I don't think anything was ever cast in stone.
  12. Think we should ask Pearse Flynn for some advice on this? :015:
  13. Alex, I hope he does prove the doubters wrong and with the Niculae work permit saga and MacDonald out with his ankle knock he may well get a further chance to do just that. However, at this level 10 games is more than most players would get to prove themselves and Rory, IMO, hasn't ceased that opportunity as well as I had hoped he would having seen what I believed to have been a very promising player when viewed in reserve matches. Maybe the threat of some additional competition up front will give him the kick up the butt he needs to kick start a better season and he will start to shine a bit more than he has in the past. I believe he has the talent, it's just very frustrating to see him wasting it so often. As for those who choose to shout "abuse" at him from the stands, I agree that is out of order. I don't always agree with the 11 men CC chooses to put on the pitch and I may have the odd "that was crap" shout/comment to make but I would never go out of my way to heckle any of our own and I certainly wouldn't boo them.

I don't think a guy with a baseball for a head is suitable for a football club :023:
  15. Clicky Clicky Of course it is possible they are flying them to Italy to view production in Romania via satelite link up!!!!
  16. Comes across as good banter, but I wouldn't want to meet him down a dark alley!!!
  17. You'd have to shout helluva loud :015:

    Win at county

It's not a game of hide and seek!!!! Why don't you take some time out from your posting marathon and get familiar with the site and it's various forums/areas. Tokely is rumoured to have hurt his back - lets see if that helps you find the thread about it.
  19. It would be understandable if the Logo was an integrated part of the shirt design/material, but it isn't it is something which is heat pressed on to the article AFTER production. The transfers take a relatively short time to produce - we aren't talking about any complicated process here, the material is fed into a printer which uses special inks to print the item and takes no longer to produce than it would on the printer you have sitting on your desk. It then takes a minute or so to apply the transfer to the shirt, even if they only had one machine for applying the sponsor logo that's only about 17 hours of run time for 1000 shirts - hardly justifies a months delay.
  20. The reason being RiG - someone once told Black he had a slight look of Pat Sharpe about him, someone else also told him that you had an unhealthy fascination for Pat Sharpe....he put 1 and 1 together and.....well, I think it's safe to say he'll never knowingly stand with his back to you again :015:
  21. Clicky Clicky Very Posh considering he's a Utd fan - they musta run out of Buckfast and White Lightning :015:
  22. What gets me is that.... a. The club are gullible enough to accept that as a reason. and/or b. They expect the fans to be just as gullible. Unless they are hand painting the sponsor logo to go on the front of the shirts then the change of sponsor should not delay the process any more than a day or two at most, even if they were only given the information at the very last moment. I could print and attach the sponor details to 500 shirts in a week (one man on his own with a home press) so you'd think a professional operation such as Errea could at least manage the 18 or so needed for the team in a fortnight. If it's just the Ltd Edition tops that are delayed then they may still have the others. Also, they can only use last seasons away strip if they have registered it with the SPL, and it doesn't get round the issue of having the new sponsors name on the front. How do you tell a 1/2 million pound sponsor that your going to use sticky labels to apply their logo and not expect to be laughed at? 13 years ICT have been on the go and they're still screwing up on the basics.
  23. As it's only a friendly I think ICT should be asked to keep their score in single figures and allow C*unty at least 1 goal :001:
  24. Translated into non techo babble = It was broken, now it's fixed.
  25. As per the opening post of this thread, instructions on the Prediction League are to follow.
