    Big Bobby Mann

I've heard that he's only to be take in as cover and only on a 6 month contract. He has to be better than no cover at all and lets face it, there are far worse players out there we could be signing as cover than Bobby Mann.
  2. Mr Bannerman only wishes they had cameras when he was a lad. :016:
  3. :024: - Rereading the article I think you may be right Mr MacLeod

  5. At the time of posting I wasn't sure if you could - hence the brackets. I'll have a shifty to see in a mo (in the middle of a poker game right now)
  6. We could add a link to this on the sites Match Report if people would find it useful (and easier to find).
  7. My apologies, but the sacrafice was made for a good cause. We (Scotty and I) felt that we should do our bit to get the news out about the Niculae situation so I stayed home to get the newsletter together and sent out to all the site users. We had already planned a newsletter but we brought it forward and included all the other info you would have seen in it to save us pestering you all with another newsletter again today (which is when we had originally planned to send it).

IMO, Wilson is no longer a 90 minute player and trying to play him as such is having and impact on his game. I think he still has plenty to offer on the park but he's trying to pace himself through the whole game - I'd far rather we played him for 60 minutes and got 100%, than play him for 90 and get maybe 75%. That would also allow us the opportunity to properly blood Zander and ease him in to the team instead of risking a situation where he ends up having to be dropped in at the deep end. McAllister may be the prime example of asking too much of a young player too soon, so although I think the boys should be given the chance I think CC needs to be sensible about it.
  10. Guys and Gals, if you see any videos on youtube or anywhere else the best action you can take is to get a copy of them on your PC (if you can), along with the username of the person who has posted it and/or report them directly to the SFA/SPL/Police. Posting the links on forums all over the place only serves to highlight them to those who wish to cover this up and they can act to have them removed before the evidence gets into the hands of those who have the power to take action about it.

Hopefully the log out/in should be a one off requirement and just a ghost from the changes we made to the site recently. If it happens again we'll have Feb8th2000 Exorcise it :015:
  12. I haven't seen it yet - And I know your not joking about widescreen. When they were filming it the cameraman turned to Mike Douglas and said "Can you keep the mic down a bit, I'm having to use quite a wide angle" - that's no word of a lie :015:
  13. In fairness McAllister got his share of encouragement to start with aswell. Many of us had seen him play in the reserves and were calling for him to be given a chance in the first team. He's had that chance and, for whatever reason, it just isn't coming together for him. This is the SPL, no room for wrapping players up in cotton wool. Rory has had his chance IMO, and for the best part of last season playing him was doing more harm than good. I think he could be succesful at a lower level, but if we drag things on with him for much longer then it's only going to kill his confidence totally and he may having nothing left to take elsewhere. Maybe too much was asked of him too soon and he needs to take a step back in order for him to make progress in the long run. Whatever way you look at it, playing him every week is not the answer.
  14. Method in Mrs PB's madness. Since Hart has a habit of sckying the ball over the bar from 20 yards out, if you move him in closer then it's got less time to climb over the bar :022: We're only one game in to the season, lets no go looiking to single out scapegoats when the truth of the matter is that that other than 2 players the entire team was shocking.

Looks like Firefox wasn't liking the call for the pop-up which it uses to record the results (Especially if you had pop-ups blocked as it wasn't even giving the message). I've altered the settings so it no longer uses pop-up. Hopefully this will have fixed it.

Can you try logging out of the site and logging back in again using the links on the frontpage? Meanwhile I'll investigate this end.

  21. LG, that is the kind of response we're used to hearing from the club. LISTEN TO THE COMPLAINT, then answer - it was not that the fans were being asked to sit, it was that they were being asked to sit when it was clear that sections of the Away Support were being allowed to stand at will, indeed some of them had no choice as they had no seat. Two wrongs do not make a right, but I don't think it is too much to ask for consistency - or maybe it is :029: Who is the "we", have the Supporters Trust taken on responsibilities for stewarding, or have you joined the staff?
  22. The fact that the Portland Club, or more precisely a certain Rangers Supporting Taxi Driver who frequents the Portland Club , manage to get their hands on dozens of tickets for the ICT home end has been brought up time and again. It's about time the person (and it is someone senior within the club) put an end to this as it does nothing but create problems time and again. How can the home fans be expected to act in a responsible manner when it comes to ensuring tickets don't get in the wrong hands when a senior member of the ICT staff is actively promoting and encouraging it.
  23. I fixed it already ya chancer :016: Have you seen the google add that appears on this page "Immigrate To Canada" Anyway, back on topic - after todays performance the sooner we have Niculae available the better, the appeal seems to be gathering a lot of press and everyone you hear (fan, journalist, commentatoror official) is in full support of him being given a permit. Hopefully this will generate a bit of pressure in getting the appeal heard sooner rather than later.
  24. I only caught the first 25/30 minutes of the game today and my first reaction when I saw the team was as SMEE said above - far too lightweight. Even Ferguson was bullying our players in the middle of the park!!! Fraser can't be blamed for any of the goals, there's only so much he can do to keep the team in it and had he been on as bad a game as the back line then we would have been facing 5 or 6 goals against. The frustrating thing from the little I saw of the game was the number of simple errors we were making all over the park. Tokely stamped his presence early on then seemed to start sitting off his man too much. Munro and Caff just don't have the same understanding of each others game as Munro and Dods did (hopefully that will come) and although I haven't seen much positive from McAllister recently it was an error beyond belief to have him playing as the main striker - think I am right in saying that Wyness seemed to be sitting between him and the midfield, it certainly looked like the plan at the start. I wouldn't want to be in the changing room with CC after the match, although I think part of theblame lies with the way he set the team up the players were the ones out there compounding the problem big style.
