Not seen a good sacrafice in ages....can we have a BBQ after?

Just checked my e.mail from when I was given details of the Fixtures and it definitely says Deveronvale is part of a 3 way cup.

dargo was scoring,if he loses form or gets injured do u really think denzil,bayne or rory could score at least 10-15 goals,i doubt it IF's, BUT's and MAYBE's don't change the fact that we coped. What if a flu bug hit the stadium and took out half the players? Should we have a 2nd squad tucked up away somewhere so players never come in to contact with each other? I don't disagree that we could do with another Attacker, I'm just saying that we managed the second part of last season with what we have and I am sure we will do so again. The situation isn't ideal, but I don't think there's anything better out there that would be within our budget, so instead of knocking the players we do have for no good reason, lets get behind them and make sure they are supported if/when they are needed.

We seemed to cope perfectly well with them for the 2nd half of last season - whats changed?

Stocks of the new strip apparently left Italy on Friday and are expected to arrive any day. No idea of how many "stocks" refer to, but if it is anything like the previous fiasco it might be an idea to get in early to secure one for the start of the season.

You can e.mail it to me on donald@caleythistleonline.com I know we have a couple of users on here who keep tabs on the ICT section of wikipedia, but there's always room for improvement and given the fact that so many people use wikipedia as a "reliable" source of information, it is only right that where possible we make that information as correct and meaningful as we can, not just for the ICT section, but for the Thistle and Caley sections also.

CC/Park seemed to have a very specific plan for pre-season and apart from the 2nd game in Italy where they had expected a slightly more challenging game it seems to be going well. We already know the players are capable of performing at SPL level so their is little point, IMO, spending on playing "bigger" teams to test yourself. We finished last season on a high and that will have carried with it a fair bit of confidence, so it makes sense to keep that confidence going by having players scoring goals and winning games. Yes, it would be nice for the fans to see us taking on bigger challenges, but we are still a developing club and these "perks" will come with time. Nobody that has moved on, or is likely to be moving on (keep your waffle to your own threads IHE) was a regular first team performer and we have added and are looking to add better quality as replacements. So all-in-all things are moving in the right direction. We were only a bawhair from the top 6 last season and I haven't seen any significant improvements in the teams who were around us come the split to suggest we aren't capable of challenging them for their top 6 spot this season. CC seems to be keen to place his own stamp on the team, both in the players he is showing interest in and the fact he is eager to add pace to the centre of the park. I get the feeling we could be in for more "entertaining" football from ICT this coming season - although saying that, anything has to be better than Brewsters "Get the ball and hoof it up the park to me" tactics. If we can maintain last seasons league position and make more of an impact in the cups then I will be delighted and see that as progression.

Wikipedia is a an open source gathering of information, anyone can edit the information presented and I don't think their would be any harm in you altering the relevant statements to better reflect events.

The way I understand it..... Game was due to kick off at 3pm but team never arrived at stadium till 3:15pm They asked for the match to be put back to 6pm which Falkirk disagreed with and 5pm was agreed. The team then screwed around at 5pm and game never kicked till near 6pm anyway.

The matches against Peterhead and Deveronvale are some kind of mini cup thingymawhatsit so I'd imagine both games are still going ahead. Haven't been informed of anything to the contrary.

If anyone who was at the game wants to right a match report for inclusion on the news section of the site it would be most welcome. Doesn't have to be anything fancy, just team info, who scored and (roughly) when, any "incidents" and a bit of an overal opinion of the game.

Black may be a midget but he plays as if he is 7 feet tall, he certainly gave a few opposing players a bit of a shock last season and many of them didn't seem too keen on coming back for seconds.

We have a few players in midfield who have been attracting attention from elsewhere, some of whom are on the last season of their contracts. I am glad to see CC looking ahead and bringing in players to prime for places that will more than likely be vacated at the end of the coming season, or perhaps even during the January Sales. If we can secure suitable replacements now, then it gives the club the option of selling players in January and getting something for them instead of seeing them walk for free at the end of the season.

He's not much good at either IMO.

If this is true, then the officials involved need to hang their heads in shame. The club should name and shame for this IMO. A certain level of etiquette exists in every sport and if the officials don't want to partake in the spirit of a Testimonial then they should simply step aside and make room for someone who is.

I suggest you just list the remaining games and let people play them at their leisure. That way those who are around can get matches out of the way and those who may have limited access/time can maybe play a couple of games in the one day/evening.
