  3. All these players mentioned play for other countries - why would how they perform have any impact on the Scottish National team? :017:
  4. It is numbers 62 and 64 that are missing from St Valery Ave. They are missing where one of the paths are not mid block, but the space is not big enough to have had an additional 2 houses in so they have never existed. I don't remember the pavilion but I wasn't born till 76, the hostel that was there is no more and new flats are now taking it's place after it sitting as a derelict eyesore for far too long. The community centre is now there as well. I too had the pleasure of Mrs Davidson as a teacher - will never forget the poster she had on the wall that said "A Winner Never Quits - A Quitter Never Wins" and her saying one day that "the older you get the faster time passes" which seemed like a strange concept back then, but proved to be so true. Funniest memory of her was one day when we were doing something we shouldn't in the playground at the back corner near the end of Hawthorn Drive. Think we were playing British Bulldogs which had been banned after someone breaking a collar bone. Anyway, she was wrapping on the window with her key to get our attention and put her hand clean through it..... :015: I'll nip out over the weekend and take some pics if I get a chance for those now in far flung corners of the world. If anyone has any specific requests for areas/streets (in Dalneigh as I will be on foot) they'd like a pic of let me know.
  5. Got the new Classic Rock Album blasting out just now - Starship, T'Pau, Deep Purple, Status Quo, Marillion, Canned Heat, SLF, Mr Mister......every one a classic
  6. If everything goes according to CC's plan we will see fewer lung busting sprints down the wings and a lot more quick passing and short moves throughout the whole of the pitch. From hearing him speak at the fans forum I got the impression that he wants to increase the tempo of matches which ties in with his fitness plans and will be a postive move towards making matches more enjoyable.

    Rockness

Thats what I like to see RiG - a man who follows the same principles as me. Instead of stopping digging when in a hole we both like the challenge of turning the said hole into an escape tunnel.... :015:
  8. Any chance we can get the feedback in from people now before we attempt the server migration later tonight/early hours tomorrow? :015: :015: :015:
  9. Those comments are nothing more than an attempt to add weight to the argument for a winter break.
  10. Ms. Brooks was having trouble with one of her first-grade pupils. "Johnny, what is your problem?" Johnny answered, "I'm too smart for the first Grade. My sister is in third grade and I'm smarter than she is! I think I should be in the third-grade too!" Ms. Brooks had had enough, so she took Johnny to the principal's office. The principal agreed that he would give the boy a test and if he failed to answer any of his questions he was to go back to the first-grade and behave. He started by asking Johnny some simple arithmetic. "What is three times three?" "Nine, Sir." "How much is nine times six?" "Fifty-four." And so it went with every question the principal thought a third-grade should know. The principal looked at Ms. Brooks and said, "I think Johnny can go to third grade! He seems smart enough." Ms. Brooks said to the principal, "Let me ask him some questions?" The principal and Johnny both agreed. Ms. Brooks asked, "What does a cow have four of that I have only two of? Johnny, after a moment, answered "Legs, Ma'am" "What is in your pants that you have but I do not have?" "Pockets!" "OK,what does a dog do that a man steps into?" "Pants." "What starts with a C and ends with a T, is hairy, oval, delicious and contains thin whitish liquid?" "Coconut." "What goes in hard and pink then comes out soft and sticky?" The principal's eyes opened really wide and before he could stop the answer, Johnny was taking charge. "Bubblegum!" "What does a man do standing up, a woman does sitting down and a dog does on three legs?" "Shake hands, Ma'am." "Now for some 'Who am I' sort of questions, OK? First one. You stick your pole inside me, you tie me down to get me up, and I get wet before you do." Johnny, quick as ever, answered, "Tent!" "OK, a finger goes in me. You fiddle with me when you're bored. The best man always has me first." The Principal was looking restless and a bit tense. But Johnny was on the ball with "Wedding Ring!" "I come in many sizes. When I'm not well, I drip. When you blow me, you feel good." "Nose." "Right, I have a stiff shaft, my tip penetrates, and I come with a quiver." "Arrow." "Good, now for the last one. What word starts with an 'F', ends in K', and means a lot of heat and excitement?" "Firetruck,Ma'am!" The principal breathed a sigh of relief and said to the teacher, "Send him to university, I got the last ten questions wrong myself!"
  11. http://www.phrenopolis.com/perspective/atom/index.html Amazing the things you happen upon when your randomly clicking about on the net.
  12. Our bid for Rankin made during the January transfer was never officially rejectd, it expired when the transfer window closed. I believe our last offer for Rankin has not (to date) been officially rejected.
  13. The difference RiG, is that ICT approached C*unty through the proper channels before they made any comment in the press. It would appear that Dundee Utd are trying to garner interest from players through the press and are not using the proper channels to open up discussions.
  14. Not really - Scotty and I have done the temporary Official website you can view from the link at the bottom of the left menu. The club made the decision to go an alternate route with the Official Site, and although it is not to my liking they have their reasons and I hope, it is everything they think it will be. The club have been up front with us and we continue to offer them any support and assistance they ask for, and will continue to do so if they need it.
  15. Fixtures available on left hand menu Footy Focus > First Team http://hmssneck.com/ict/index.php?option=c...&Itemid=269
  16. In the past we have benefited from being the "Official" club site and been covered under thier license (Yes, clubs do have to pay to display thier own fixtures also) - however since the split we now have to take care of it ourselves.
  17. Or you can find them here for both leagues - http://hmssneck.com/ict/index.php?option=c...&Itemid=268 Or select Expert Eleven from the Features Menu on the left.
  18. EVERY player has a price - All Grassa is saying is that United haven't offered what we think the players are worth. He will have an idea of what it would cost to replace them and if any club was to make an offer and we were confident we could use the money to bring in suitable replacements and still have a bit left over then it would be stupid to refuse. At the end of the day it's all about ICT - not individual players. I am not about to start doubting Grassa and Co based on selective newspaper snippets and double guessing. They have a track record of serving us well and I am confident they will continue to do so.
  19. Some might argue I spend my entire life at Stage 1 - they, of course, would be wrong as I know better :015:
  20. Grassa put a proposal to the Board of Directors asking for an increased wage budget based on the increased revenue the club will get from the new Setanta deal - you really must try and keep up :006:
  21. It's the stories it could tell us about you that would be most interesting :015:
  22. They still make me laugh :015: see :015:
