  1. Lets not forget that Teletext is still written up by journalists and we are all well aware of some of the chit they have been inventing recently. Someone somewhere probably got a bit ahead of themselves and removed them from the ICT list since journalists seemed to think it was a done deal till DS issued his statement. I wouldn't read too much in to it, and I certainly wouldn't be jumping to the conclusion they were offskee.

    Fox to Livi

Fox moving to Livi was/is believed to be a permanent move. It was Fraser that we were looking to put on loan. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him move on a permanent basis as the majority of his family are in Edinburgh and he spends nearly all his free time there as it is. He got of to a flying start with his "Super Sub" appearences for us, but never seemed capable of sustaining any kind of form. Maybe he'll get luck and find it with someone else, but I don't see him having any kind of long term future at ICT.
  3. I had a few dealings with Jim over the last few years and he was always someone who would find the time to help or work with you on something. I wish I had taken a tape recorder with me the day we all sat down to go through the entries for the joint CaleyThistleOnline/Courier Song Competition - I think he took the time to sing nearly all of the entries before allowing us to pass comment, a true character. My thoughts go out to his family and friends.
  4. The £400k Tulloch investment went straight to the Trust that owns the stadium and would therefore not appear on the club accounts.
  5. Only on this forum could a topic turn from Fixture lists to threesomes in a hadful of posts :015:
  6. I know I'm right, I have the lists here, just not got round to publishing them yet :016:
  7. If IHE was any kind of seer he would have been able to tell you that the info is to be added soon :015:
  8. I very much doubt Grassa or CC would be willing to fill the team with foreigners, however, I think it is stupid to reject the idea off hand without knowing exactly what they have in mind. Developing contacts with other clubs/associations/countries isn't a bad idea, if we could continue to develop and improve using solely Scottish players then that would be great, but it doesn't work like that in the real world. We need to wait to hear more about the "ideas" of the new Chairman before jumping down his throat with regards to what was likely a heavily edited statement.
  9. Many of these "rumours" are eminating from Journalists who are attempting to build stories around half truths and lies - One journalist in particular has been left with a lot of egg on his face, leaving his Editor with a lot of space to fill tomorrow as practically everything he had reported was proven to be bu11shit - No rumour in that, it is fact and I have seen the evidence. ICT have not always been too forthcoming with news about what is happening at the club, but when they do tell us what is going on it is generally accurate and doesn't come with any "Spin". DS shoots from the hip and as a fan I don't always agree with him, but I respect him for his honesty and trust him to act in the best interests of ICT. Can the United fans say the same thing about ET?
  10. The average Sun purchaser can't read anyway so not a lot to get worked up about.
  11. Might pop along to see what all the fuss is about :001:
  12. I'd imagine it was due to lack of evidence regarding specific players, or they were only really interested in the "Big Fish" and catching the clubs themselves out was enough for UEFA. It's not uncommon, especially in corporate cases, for courts/governing bodies to settle for winning a case against the company and not pursue individuals within companies whe were involved. However, I suspect we haven't heard the last of it and that over time information will come out as to which players were more directly involved.
  13. Of course players are involved, how can you fix a match without having at least some of them "in the know"

    Black & Proctor

Would have been worth the ticket price to have seen that alone :001:
  15. The principle behind this is fairly straight forward. All the matches and bookies odds for SFL Div 1,2 & 3 are listed in a new thread prior to the game. Each participant then has to choose one result from that to place their virtual bet on. The person that accumulates the most points come the end of the season is the winner. Who can play? The competition is open to anyone who wishes to play and who participates in any of the first 5 matches, after this time the competition will be closed to any new entrants and only those already participating will be allowed to continue. This is to keep administration of the competition as simple as possible for those running it. Where do I get Points to start my Virtual Betting? Everyone who participates in the first match will be given 150 points to get them going, these will reduce if you start participating in matches 2, 3, 4 or 5 Match 2 - Start with 140 Points Match 3 - Start with 130 Points Match 4 - Start with 120 Points Match 5 - Start with 110 points The reduced starting points for each week is to mimic your participation in the previous weeks, but as you were unable to place a winning bet, you lose your ante for those weeks. How Much Can I Bet Each Match? The Ante for each match is fixed at 10 points for everyone. What Happens If I Run Out of Points? Have you ever tried going into the bookies and asking to place a bet without any money? Same answer here, once your out of points your out of the game :016: What Happens If I forget to Place a Bet? If you forget to place a bet then it is treated as if you placed your 10 points and lost and those points are deucted from your total. What is the Deadline for Placing Bets? The deadline for each weeks betting is 1 hour prior to kick off for the earliest match. If there are matches Saturday and Sunday then the deadline is 1 hour before the earliest match on the Saturday. What Happens if I Can't Make it to a PC? You can have someone else place your bet for you, however the same deadline is still in force and it must be entered on the forum before that time. Constantly having someone else place your bets without informing the game admin of the reasons why will result in your bets being treated as missed bets and 10 points will be deducted from your total. What Odds are Used? The odds as per William Hills Online will be the odds used and will be posted for each match, should William Hill Odds not be available the game admin will select odds from elsewhere at their own discretion. What Happens if My Game is Called Off/Abandoned? If you are able to post an alternative bet prior to the deadline this will be accepted, in cases where you are unable to do this you will have your 10 points returned provided bets were placed prior to the call off. USE OF MULTIPLE USERNAMES TO INCREASE NUMBER OF ENTRIES IS FORBIDDEN
  16. Depends on the socks - I used to have walking socks with pockets for carrying a 2nd whistle/penknife/any other item you may normally carry in a pack but might lose in an emergency.
  17. So much for the hopes that C*unty would give us a better test prior to the season kicking off :015:

    The Open

Woods is in a classof his own at the moment. Even when he looks to be struggling with some aspects of his game he's still too much for the majority of other players to cope with. Hopefully it won't turn into a 2 horse race and a couple of others can get in about there to make it a bit more exciting.
  19. As the saying goes....."You can only p!ss with the......." ok, you know the rest :015:

    Rockness

I do, it's that little red cross in the top right corner :016: Going back to the subject of vinyl which was touched upon above, I have a shed load (literally) of the stuff from my DJing days. I often find myself on the verge of selling it off, but then I change my mind when I start to think about the 15 years as a DJ during which I collected most of it and that it is something which I could almost certainly never replace. If anyone has a spare £25,000 and wants to make me an offer for it I may be tempted though :015:
  21. Errea may be partially to blame for the delay, but at the end of the day the buck stops with the club. I know of one person (a site user) who had intended buying the new strip for both their kids birthdays. One of those birthdays has come and gone and they had to buy the child something else so that is one lost sale, and I am sure it will not be a solitary case. At the fans forum Mike Smith told everybody that the strips should have arrived by the beginning of June. The new strip design was one of the worst kept secrets ever and I have a copy of the design sheet showing it was produced back in December 2005. At the same Fans Forum, David Sutherland admitted that the delay was partially down to the club not deciding on the final design till the last minutes. He also told Mike Smith that if the strips were not here when he said they would be then he would be the man sitting in the seat answering the questions as to why.......so, where is the communication from the club explaining the delay and letting us know when they will arrive??? As for the on-line shop, Scotty and I first started chasing proper pics for the on-line shop in December 2004. I even arranged to go down and take the pictures, I am no professional photographer, but I have a good idea of whats needed to make stuff look good "on-screen". When I went down to the stadium in December 2004 as agreed, I was told they were having pictures taken professionally and they would be passed on. This was chased up by us during January 2005 and I twice put our e.mail address directly in to the hands of Trevor Martin who had taken the pictures for the shop and continued to chase this up well in to September 2005 when we finally received pictures which had been taken by someone else. The pictures received weren't ideal from a technical/presentation standpoint, but they were better than nothing. We continued to chase the professional pics in to October 2005 but, to this day ( over 19 months later) they have never surfaced. In short, if the above is any example, I wouldn't expect any proper pictures for current stock any time before February 2008.

Come on guys, no reason why a discussion/debate on music (or anything else for that matter) should have to resort to personal abuse/name calling. It may not have been intended to be abusive and said in "jest" but keep in mind that such things very often come across wrong in typed word on forums, especially when the parties involved do not know each other very well.
  24. I'll compile a report for the website based on what people have said on here and get the photo's uploaded before 2moro morning if I can.
  25. We now have the Supporters Trust - part of the function of this is to offer a vehicle for fans to club together to raise money which is then used to assist the club & community. I'm sure they would more than welcome any ideas people have for fundraising and/or projects which fundraising could be targeted at. The benefit of doing things via the Trust is that (if you are a member) you get a say in how the money is used. It could be donated for a specific purpose, or, it could be used to buy shares, giving the fans a sense of ownership, and allowing the club freedom to spend proceeds as they see fit.
