  1. Personally, I am fine with both Charles but not on our official club badge.
  2. Absolutely nothing wrong with that
  3. "As someone in a position to give an answer" - can you please tell us exactly where and when the club will use this "variation" . I'm sure the answer will either be acceptable to most on here or make it an issue which a great many do not agree with.
  4. I hear what you say about this being a "variation" of our club crest but maybe you could tell us exactly where and when the "variation" will be used?
  5. Sadly we will probably never find out but I could probably guess.
  6. You really do seem to get a kick out of insulting fans by calling them "ignorant and ill informed". Ignorance lies with you as Caley or Jags have been acceptable nicknames to many since the club was formed.
  7. Looks like most on this site are ok with this situation? I can't believe it. What would Celtic fans say if they were abbreviated to GCFC Pride of Glasgow, Aberdeen as AFC Pride of the East, hearts as HFC. I can't believe you are prepared to take this lying down! It cheapens and hurts our history.
  8. I have no problem with social media abreviations because the name is so long. However, there was absolutely no need to change our identity on our badge.
  9. I hope I am not alone here but I don't think we have had a satisfactory answer to the issue regarding our official club badge/crest. I see from the caption of our 2 new signings that the "new" format is displayed and I personally feel this cheapens the image of our club. Again, we are NOT ICTFC, we are Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC!
  10. I see that awful crest/badge has appeared again!
  11. It took a lot of blood sweat and tears to bring these two clubs together as Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC without having to abreviate the name to ICTFC which has absolutely NO identification to anyone
  12. Absolutely. I also have no problem with using the "other" version on fans merchandise but I personally feel it is important to retain the name Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC on the Club badge.
  13. Very strange that someone has decided to change our name to ICTFC from Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC - A DISGRACE - What in earth was wrong with the original club identification? This "Pride of the Highlands" garbage should not be part of our official Club Badge!
  14. At his peak, he was arguably the best central defender in Scotland
  15. Very good to see these guys sitting their coaching badges - maybe they will extend their stay with ICT after their playing days are over. I think the retention of Brian Rice as assistant manager is one of the better decisions the club have made - a good experienced coach who will hopefully be a major help to RF's management career.
  16. I am not asking you to give out information about the new strip. The questions was pretty simple but your response makes you sound like a politician
  17. .....absolutely no problem with the alternative version of the badge as the concept of the eagle and the thistle has not been discarded.Again, what badge will the team wear on their clothing, training gear and strips?
  18. So which badge will appear on our shirts? When you say "the club thought" I take it you mean the directors.
  19. The "new" design is fine with the bold black banners and bold black ring round the thistle but why was there a need to change the name?
  20. Good spot Renegade. I don't know what brought that about because our name is Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC - NOT ICTFC. IMO there was absolutely nothing wrong with our badge/crest so why remove our name and add Pride of the Highlands?
  21. The first thing we have to do is re-establish a good working relationship with schools in the region.
  22. Bless you Matty. Condolences to family, friends and colleagues.
  23. Personally, I'm not that bothered as he will hopefully be only a squad player when Josh moves back into the middle.
  24. Who knows, Foran's main priority is the first team but I hope he will give a chance to anyone showing the ability to play at the higher level. These kids do however need first class coaching from the likes of Duncan who has done it all at the highest level.
