  1. Very strange that someone has decided to change our name to ICTFC from Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC - A DISGRACE - What in earth was wrong with the original club identification? This "Pride of the Highlands" garbage should not be part of our official Club Badge!
  2. At his peak, he was arguably the best central defender in Scotland
  3. Very good to see these guys sitting their coaching badges - maybe they will extend their stay with ICT after their playing days are over. I think the retention of Brian Rice as assistant manager is one of the better decisions the club have made - a good experienced coach who will hopefully be a major help to RF's management career.
  4. I am not asking you to give out information about the new strip. The questions was pretty simple but your response makes you sound like a politician
  5. .....absolutely no problem with the alternative version of the badge as the concept of the eagle and the thistle has not been discarded.Again, what badge will the team wear on their clothing, training gear and strips?
  6. So which badge will appear on our shirts? When you say "the club thought" I take it you mean the directors.
  7. The "new" design is fine with the bold black banners and bold black ring round the thistle but why was there a need to change the name?
  8. Good spot Renegade. I don't know what brought that about because our name is Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC - NOT ICTFC. IMO there was absolutely nothing wrong with our badge/crest so why remove our name and add Pride of the Highlands?
  9. The first thing we have to do is re-establish a good working relationship with schools in the region.
  10. Bless you Matty. Condolences to family, friends and colleagues.
  11. Personally, I'm not that bothered as he will hopefully be only a squad player when Josh moves back into the middle.
  12. Who knows, Foran's main priority is the first team but I hope he will give a chance to anyone showing the ability to play at the higher level. These kids do however need first class coaching from the likes of Duncan who has done it all at the highest level.
  13. Och well might as well put the cat amongst the pigeons. Home shirt in Blue with two red stripes, White shorts and red socks. Away shirt in White, Black shorts and Red socks. Simples.
  14. Must have come across the same article at the same time Alex. CC is Head of Youth Development, Duncan Shearer is U20 coach (not classified as youth for some reason) and Highland Academy is a facility.
  15. Not sure what Danny MacDonald's remit is to be honest but our Head of Youth Development is Charlie Christie, a post he has held since a number of years. I do believe however that Danny MacDonald is assisting Duncan Shearer with the U20 squad next season.
  16. So WTF is our Willie Miller on about here? From BBC Website - Willie Miller: "The SFA charge for coaching courses. Why not drop that if you're attached to a club? Scottish football can't afford to employ coaches at development level. Celtic can and Rangers could. Inverness Caley Thistle can't afford a development programme let alone employ someone to manage that programme. With Aberdeen, I had two centres, one in Edinburgh and one in Dundee, that I had to close because we couldn't afford it and we had only one full-time coach. I don't think we can compare ourselves with Germany, with a population of 80m people and funds coming out their ears. We should be looking at Iceland." I'm sure Charlie Christie has something about this!
  17. RF obviously didn't consider him value for money. A strategy I have absolutely no problem with.

Wait for what? No RIG I am not genuinely suggesting Hughes should have been retained but people don't need to keep on about his faults.

No problem with you Pimple. It just gets to me when people constantly criticise a man who brought the most success to our club. I also fully believe that there are two sides to every story so I just cannot believe that Hughes turned on our Chairman/Board without good reason. I do not however agree with how he went about trying to sort it - but maybe, just maybe he had tried to do this internally without any success. Who knows, I just think we should put this to bed and get on with giving our full support to Foran.

Apart from me, you must be the most boring old windbag on this site.
  21. Give the boy some respect. I think we should be wishing him well so good luck Liam.
  22. More than likely that's the case but who knows, we may have found loads of bucks from somewhere.
  23. Good to hear there is interest in Deano - I hope he gets fixed up soon.
  24. I'm sure RF has spoken to Butcher about Boden and here's hoping his first signing is a good un. It will no doubt take him a wee while to settle in so let's be patient and give the lad a chance to become our new Billy Mac.
  25. There is no way any u20 team will win this cup. At least the beaks are making an effort by changing the structure and should be applauded for doing so.
