  1. In the real world, anyone know any word on Foran and Warren's injuries?
  2. Why do people suggest making sweeping formation and personnel changes to a team that's top of the league? It isn't going to happen! Hopefully Foran and Warren are fit again and we can play the same formation again.
  3. Poor performance again from us. We started brightly with McKay scoring and sending another effort just over the bar and Nick Ross hitting the post. We seemed to drop deep as the first half went on and let Dundee have more of the ball. They didn't really threaten until just before half time when their forward (didnt' see who) forced Brill into a great save low to his left. The second half went the same way, we played too deep and were hitting long balls into the channels for McKay to chase. This didn't really work and we weren't managing to get Doran or Ross into the game much. Draper was booked in the first half and after that didn't seem as keen to break up play which meant we lost out in midfield. Vincent didn't perform that well again, he seems to try and tear around doing all the jobs, but he should really be concentrating on playing further up the park, pressing the opposition there when we don't have the ball and trying to make things happen when we do. We didn't retain the ball as well as we did earlier in the season and because of that dropped deep and had to hit the ball long. The two players we lost, Andy Shinnie and Tudor-jones, were excellent at retaining possession and I don't think the players we have in midfield now are as good at that, meaning we might end up pushed deeper. Shinnie could also carry the ball very well from deep. The fact that we were missing Gary Warren also impacted us, he is excellent at carrying the ball out of defence for 15-20 yards which helps us play further up the park. Devine is an able player and is a great option but he doesn't give us that. Apparently Butcher wasn't pleased and was heard berating the players afterwards. We'll need to improve against Hibs on Saturday.
  4. Sad days as insane Italian fascist loses his job. Paulo must be disappointed although I bet deep down he admired the swift, brutal action taken by an unaccountable dictator.
  5. Good news, the main stand at Dens is pish.
  6. Back of 7 for me and TSNY I think. I've never been to a midweek game in Dundee #exciting #unique
  7. I'll be there.
  8. He did. I think it's more likely that some of the guys who have been on the bench this season will get a run out than someone being promoted from the under 20s but you never know.
  9. I don't think we'll see many changes - last season for the games against Arbroath and Stenhousmuir we only made a couple of switches. I wouldn't mind seeing Agdeistein and Polwarth getting a run out, in place of McKay and Vincent. Esson to come back into goals as well.
  10. McCaffrey and McBain were superb players for us, shocking choices.
  11. The bars near the station are a little rough and ready, IIRC. The Criterion and the Lorne Bar were two favourites the season we played there.
  12. We should all get guns and roam the streets of Inverness rounding up non-attenders then marching them into the ground every Saturday.
  13. We're like the Queen, we have two birthdays.
  14. Keane was on loan to Celtic the season we were in Division One. Bellamy must be the player who has cost most money during his career, my calculations are that he has cost the following Norwich > Coventry - £6m Coventry > Newcastle - £6.5m Newcastle > Blackburn - £5m Blackburn > Liverpool - £6m Liverpool > West Ham - £7.5m West Ham > Man City - £14m Total - £44m
  15. Don't think John Sutton has done it. I'm wrong actually - his goal last weekend took him up to all 12. This was Thom Watt's quiz question on Twitter last week, I went for Anthony Stokes and Billy McKay, forgetting that McKay hasn't scored against us (or Partick).
  16. You should also change your name to Jesus, just to emphasise your omnipotence. Good idea. You can be my first managerial appointment, I'll give you 37 minutes of the first half of a North of Scotland cup tie.
  17. You'll be paying for that round indirectly via the benefits system so don't get too misty eyed about it.
  18. When I strike it rich in the IT game I'm going to buy the club outright and spend decades running the thing like my own personal plaything, in the style of Jesus Gil, former chairman of Atletico Madrid.
  19. If we win we should give them the money, if we lose we should keep it.
  20. Decent performance from us but we were pushed deep by Celtic in the second half - I think that without Shinnie and Tudor-Jones we don't keep the ball as well, which isn't great. However, we scored one great goal and bagged one from a set piece (as predicted by yours truly). I definitely thought we should've had a penalty in the second half when Doran was brought down by Dick Van Diijk. It's disappointing not to win after being 2-0 up but we didn't play as well as we did in November and gave Celtic a lot of room, you are always running a risk when you do that. I agree with Alternative Maryhill's post, we did seem to fall deep and end up launching speculative balls forward. Vincent looks an OK player, I don't think I've seen his best games, but he isn't the sort of carry the ball forward or to maintain possession. It means we can end up with the ball coming straight back and that's kind of what happened in the second half, with waves of Celtic pressure. Defensively I thought our centre halves did well but we looked a bit vulnerable down our right, Celtic got quite a few good balls in from there. I thought Foran, Nick Ross, Shinnie and Brill all had good games as well. For Celtic, Scott Brown was good I thought. I didn't realise how big this Balde lad is, he's a unit and looked good in the air, not as good on the deck though. Special mention for the pre-match raffle in the London Road Tavern where the prize was - a picture of the new Pope with a Celtic top photoshopped onto him
  21. Philip Roberts scored a hat-trick for Falkirk v Livingston yesterday.
  22. If anyone gets any bother from Celtic fans, scare them with fruit and vegetables http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zd_NSbZOLsU&feature=player_embedded
  23. I loved him when he played for us but he is ruining it. I'd be amazed if this doesn't go on more often though.
