  1. 4-1 for the Dons, Nicolson hat-trick. Our defence should be ashamed of themselves, they seem to have fallen to bits without Dods. Professional sportsmen shouldn't be so reliant on one player.
  2. Thanks to the wonder of the internet I've seen all our goals this season. We are weak and lack thoroughness and concentration in the centre of defence and we give the ball away far too easily. Look at the St Mirren game, for example. For the first goal, we had possession a couple of seconds prior to the goal but gave the ball away cheaply, allowed a player to turn and lost a goal. For the second the ball was played in behind us, Kean chased it down and squared it for Corcoran to tap in - not one of our players put any pressure on either player. We are simply too slack, we can't afford it. We need another commanding centre half, perhaps Brewster should go back in for Bullen in the window. I also wouldn't mind us looking at Graham Coughlan, he was solid for Livingston and has had a good career down south. Having said that he seems to be doing not bad for Rotherham, might not be interested in uprooting.
  3. :015: Disclosure Scotland are strange. I know a guy who was knocked back for an admin job in the NHS for being convicted and fined for a punch up from ten years previous but I also know a guy who passed one despite having a conviction for firing an airgun at someone only a few years before. Btw, I don't just hang around with a bunch of criminals :023:
  4. A drugs conviction would kibosh you because I assume you had to pass disclosure? The only jobs that would result in automatic dismissal for drug related offences are ones that involve being in charge of children/vulnerable people, jobs where you have peoples lives in your hands or operate heavy machinery. You probably wouldn't be able to get a job like that if you had a possession conviction. Of course, most contracts of employment will have 'gross misconduct' or 'bringing the company into disrepute' clauses to cover for this. I doubt there are drugs strong enough that would have enlivened that game at Meadowbank though - just say no kids!
  5. I have been to 28 games where Denzil has scored.
  6. Good post Johndo. How about a cheeky Robbie Fowler esque celebration for Richie when he sticks in the winner against the Dons? :crazy07:
  7. He didn't though did he?
  8. [***removed***]. If any schoolchildren take drugs because Richie Hart did then it's their own stupid fault not his. And I doubt many schoolkids worship Richie Hart :015: For the person above who says the drugs would have stayed in his system for a long time, they wouldn't have, coke clears within a couple of days. Marijuana stays in your blood for months. I don't think we should get rid of Richie, all he's done is get caught doing what I would wager a sizable proportion of professional footballers do. [modbreak=Scotty]namecalling removed. Please read terms and conditions of site use.[/modbreak]
  9. I have always wanted to go to a game dressed thusly: I would probably get nicked though.
  10. I just posted this on P&B in reply to an Ayr Utd fan. ---------- The funny thing about it is, you'd think that County had torn the leagues a new one with their brand of scinillating attacking verve up until now. From what I remember they limped about in the First Division for a couple of years, never finishing higher than fourth, never sustaining a title challange and eventually surrendering their status after being pushed to the verge of bankruptcy by Alex '0-1' Smith. As for this amazing football, well under Cooper they had a few moments I suppose, including a storming finish to one season before reverting to hilariuosly awful type the next. Then they had years of Alex Smith's non-football, passing the ball about in their own half before another 'undeserved' defeat sustained 'playing the game the right way'. The one season they had real success they binned both managers who achieved it. The pish that is spouted from County fans about their amazing silky football is, well, er, pish. It really took hold under Smith, a man who's utter baloonery still makes me smile - exactly the kind of manager we all wish for our local rivals. He was an utter failure - he failed to even look like challanging for the title, he made no inroads in cup competitions, he nearly got them relegated and splurged hundreds of thousands of pounds on terrible players on massive wages. His constant excuse of playing football the right way, passing football, I don't like big strikers only wee ones, we're more of a footballing team than Caley etc perhaps massaged the footballing egos of the County support who put up with it longer than many teams. If Smith had done that to Falkirk, St Mirren or even Ayr he'd have been run off the road quicker than you could say 'poofy new rules'. If I were a County fan I'd be looking to get rid of the board. They have done well in the past but the litany of ludicriousness grows ever longer. The sanctioning of Smith's waste, the constant turnover, the recruitment of a Director of Football - a luxury position in the English Premiership, let alone the SFL - the failure to properly treat injured players which lead to several expensive players leaving then being cured in a 'pick up thy bed and walk stylee' at their new clubs and now sacking a manager who had them top the league after only losing one game in eight. It's time for Ross County fans to get serious. ----------- Farce County are an absolute joke :015: Peterhead will hopefully be striding past them soon.
  11. Anyone know the date for the Clach v Edinburgh City replay? Just down the road from me, may head along.
  12. Team: Malkowski Tokely McCaffrey Munro Hastings Wilson Cowie Duncan Morgan Brewster Bayne Goal came from a Wilson corner, headed back by Brewster, nodded in from two yards by Bayne. Great to see Bayner on the scoresheet.
  13. I think we are going back tot he days when teams had their ***** handed to them by the Old Firm, espcially in Glasgow. Celtic were just better than us, although we knocked it about well in the first half. I agree that we could probably have done with some pace up front - Dargs is being missed in that sense. Perhaps Deano isn't deemed ready to be thrown intot he first team but he appears to our only option up front who has a bit of speed about him. We need to start picking up points and fast though.
  14. Brewster on his own. I don't mean up front, I just mean Brewster on his own against Celtic. He could do it.
  15. I reckon we will get humped, sadly. The Old Firm seem to be back to their old ways of handing out three or four goals spakings to the other ten teams this season. :007: Hopefully we buck this trend and sneak a 2-1 win, as I have predicted in my office prediction league :011:
  16. If anyone has a spare ticket could they please email me on chrislindsay1@gmail.com ? Cheers
  17. Should be going now. Tin hat on for pubs around parkhed!
  18. Problem with the English football team is that they aren't as good as they should or could be. If they had a manager with balls they could be a seriuos team, as it is they don't have anyone who can really sort their team out. I don't think their media are better or worse than anyone else and I couldn't care less about 'having' to listen to them. It makes watching their games funny. Some Scottish people need to grow up when it comes to this 'rivalry'.
  19. Are you sure you were watching the game at Easter Road? I was nervous of our defense early on due to past perfromance but as the game proceeded they looked confident in everything they had to deal with. Apart from one small blip right at the end I don't recall any bomb scares. Early on they didn't fill me with confidence but I agree that as the game went on they did better. When McGuire came on he fitted in well.
  20. What a load of self-regarding pish.
  21. He was good in the first half, especially when we were on top. he has excellent touch and is a clever player, much like Brewster. I didn't see anything that suggests he won't be an excellent player for us when he gets his sharpness up - he only played ahandful of games last season and didn't get any pre-season games. As my mate said yesterday we might see the best of him until Christmas.
