  1. the management team obviously didn't think he was good enough for an immediate bid and wanted a further look. I'd rather we didn't dive into signing players prematurely. Oh and Ian Stewart scored 16 goals in 25 starts in our first season in the Second Division and was injured during our second season there.
  2. Tam McManus has a pretty poor scoring record over the last few seasons. He scored six goals for Dundee in the First Division in 05/06 and scored twice last season in his games for the Pars and Falkirk. I had always thought of him as, well, ***** but apparently he really did well for Dunfermline when he got a chance. Perhaps he has realised that he is 26 and needs to try and make something of his career. When we signed Dargo he hadn't scored many for a fewq seasons. Jim McIntyre is 35, injury-prone, would cost a tansfer fee and is similar to what we already have. No thanks!
  3. Hero - Graham Bayne, a fantastic season for him. His performance against Celtic in the cup was one of the best displays from a lone front man you'll ever see. Villian - Mike Smith Could do better - Ian Black. Hasn't been up to earlier standards this season and is now picking upbookings for dissent and stupid gestures rather than meaty tackles. Needs to knuckle down to fulfill his potential. Must do better - Not a criticsm of him, but Stuart McCaffrey will have big boots to step into should he come in for Dods next term - he'll have to be at his best. Hopefully Rory builds on a few decent performances towards the end of the season and pushes on next season. He is still a young player and hopefully this experience will do him good. If Zander Sutherland can regularly play tot he standard he showed against St Mirren, he'll make an impact too.
  4. Well deserved win. Thought Zander Sutherland was excellent.

Just watched that, good direct play from Rory for the goal andhe won the free-kick for the equaliser. Good work from a sub.
  7. The last home game I was at was the Falkirk game before the split and I got warned by a steward for my 'language'. Stewards are obviously not trained how to speak to people or deal with fans as the high-handed demenour I was spoken to was laughable. If I'd been more confrontational or pished I could have easily been thrown out. It doesn't surprise me that this sort of thing has gone on as stewards at our ground seem to be educationally sub-standard drop-outs who have no interest in making things better for fans but rather taking a ridiculously rigid line on what is deemed acceptable. You have to look as well at the people handing out guidelines to them. How hard would it be for someone to say to the stewards in a pre-match meeting "there's a singing section on the go, they might stand up on occasions but take it easy and only do anything if there is an actual evident risk to the health and safety or if people stand up the whole match". If stewards swore at people or threatened them then eventually we're going to get someone giving one of them a smack in the mouth which is a completely unacceptable situation. We want people to come to our games and enjoy themselves rather than have to deal with some trumped up Captain Manwairing.
  8. Average crowd at Caley Stadium this season - 4878 Total number of fans through the gates - 92,697 percentage of capacity - 64.8% Hopefully the freeze in ticket prices will see people renew their season books but I still think our prices are too high to encourage walk-ups, especially for kids. Our average actually fell by about 150 from the previous season, probably as we played Aberdeen on a Monday night which probably cut the crowd by 2,000. Hopefully all these Romanian super-stars will pull the crowds in :001:
  9. I am surprised we haven't seen Guy Kerr promoted to the first team squad yet, he has a lot of experience in the reserves and was involved in the Scotand set up a few years back. Same with Ian Vigurs.
  10. Inverurie is a peculiar place. After the semi-final replay in 2004 we stopped their for a pint and the pub had one-armed man playing darts. You had to walk across the flight of the darts to go for a ****.
  11. Boring end of season pish. What happened to giving the kids a shot in these games?
  12. I should be going. Do they accept out of date sutdent cards? :015:

    Rory

None of our strikers have scored or most likely will score 15 goals this season.
  14. We compete with County for sponsorship and corporate functions. An SPL match is far more attractive than a Second Division game. If County stay in the lower leagues and we stay in the SPL youngsters will be far more inclined to pick us as their team to follow. With regards to loaning players to them, the only players we've ever loaned them are ones who are on the way out - Wayne Addicoat, Daisy, Alan Morgan. It is also fun to point and laugh at County fans. To paraphrase hearts fans: BIG TEAM BIG LEAGUE WEE TEAM WEE LEAGUE BIG TEAM BIG LEAGUE WEE TEAM WEE LEAGUE We're all going to Ibrox You're all going to Berwick nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah We're all going to Parkhead You're all going to Cowden nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah
  15. As things stand we only have four defenders under contract for next season (Caff, Granty, Richard Hastings and Rosscoe). We need to bring in some cover.
  16. Who gives a feck about County. The fact that we are in the SPL while they languish in the lower leagues playing Berwick and Brechin means that we will be more attractive to sponsors. Let's hope Pele manages to administer a few thrashings next season.
  17. Gretna are promoted with a last minute winner at Dingwall. County are relegated to the Second Division.
  18. What happened to giving some young lads a run out?
  19. County are down, for sure. Just hope they can sneak an equaliser and stop gretna coming up.
  20. David Beckham is going to organise Alan Ball's funeral. It's because he's a dead Ball specialist.
