Yeah I agree with that. If ICT want to promote themselves and the area as a modern, vibrant society and club then all of this heedily deedily, kilt wearing, cringe-worthy bagpipe stuff should be totally avoided. Also, anything football sounding or done a lot by other clubs ("I get knocked down" being a prime example) is another idea that shouldn't see the light of day. IMO a song that should be chosen should be something mainly done by a band which has a strong chorus and pounding kinda feel to it. It doesn't have to be a Scottish band or anything local either, just something with a lot of soul, such as my choice. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eNnB4dkVRJI- MERGED: Transfer Deadline Day
If I were boss, I'd keep him, and play him!- Blackie Tackle last night
How long before Tokely decks him?- Scotland Squad for first Nations Cup match
I wonder if we'll see the mighty 4-6-0 formation again...!- ICT -V- Aberdeen : Matchnight Thread
Tokely's version of the Cruyff Turn was worth the ticket price alone!- Red Card
Correct, as long as the ball is in play. Oh dear, ICT are in a bit of a pickle!- 4-5-1
If I were boss, I think my favoured option at this time would be a switch to the 4-4-2 diamond, with Hayes and Doran or Ross out wide, Duncan sitting in front of the back four with Sanchez as an attacking midfielder. I'd also move Foran back to the centre to partner Rooney.- ICT fans on P&B
Jeez, i thought you were Sandy Cromarty! There was someone on there thought I was Sandy Cromarty!- 4-5-1
Whatever, the 2-3 is essentially the midfield, with a lone striker. Whatever it is, it doesn't work!- Team for Arabs
Yeah that's the way I feel too. Every time I've seen him out wide I can't but think that he looks like he's been put there because the teams regular left winger is out and he's just been moved there to fill in. Get him back in the middle - that's where he's best.- 4-5-1
I think it's clear to everyone now and IMO it's been clear for months that this 4-5-1 system at home has to end and it has to end now. Why? Just look at the stats. Two wins all season in the SPL to a very mediocre Hibs and at that time, a very bad Aberdeen (and don't forget a just and no more win against Division 3 Elgin City!). Butcher seems to have no clue in how to fix the pathetic home form, well it's clear to me and many others that this formation is certainly one of the reasons why. It failed for Brewster and now it's failing for Butcher. There's no way form at home will improve any time soon until this system is punted and this can be seen clearly how time and time again Adam Rooney is left up on his own with often only the scrap of a Grant Munro hoof to deal with. But change it for what? Well IMO a switch to more traditional 4-4-2 would be a clear and sensible option where Rooney has a partner to work with and benefit from. I believe that there is also is a case for a 4-3-3 with Hayes pushed into the forward line but with a license to move out wide. I'm really no fan of anything that ends in a 1 and history has shown us that an attacking ICT, is a winning ICT. The campaign starts here - 4-5-1 must go!- ICT -V- Aberdeen : Matchnight Thread
The difference is though, Doran is still at a Premiership side, Zander's at Buckie!- Russell Duncan
That's the problem though, does he? I don't what Butcher's problem with him is. As soon as he came in, Duncan was dropped for Brian Kerr, then it was Stratford, then it was Duff, then he got back in and now he's dropped for Duff again. What's Butcher's problem? I thought Duncan would be one of those experienced, hard working battlers that he would admire, but obviously not and it's Butcher's mistake in not playing him.- Team for Arabs
Esson Duff Tokely Innes Gillet Duncan Doran---------------------Hayes Sanchez Foran Rooney Subs- Tuffey, Ross, Shinnie, Sutherland, Odhiambo, McBain, Golabek- Andy Gray, Richard Keys
I bet this is the same middled aged do-gooders that went on that crusade against Russell Brand and Johnathon Ross a couple of years back and the ones who got all upset when Barack Obama killed that fly! Someone earlier mentioned Loose Women, I tell you if that was men talking about women in the way do, it wouldn't be shown until after the watershed. Come on people, there's more important issues and injustices in the world to be outraged about than this.- Rooney in talks with Hibs
My own view is that Rooney would score even more goals if he had a quicker more Dargoesque striker playing with him.- Team for Aberdeen
ICT desperately need to punt this 4-2-3-1 thing at home IMO.- Team for Aberdeen
The Washington Whips will be a hard team to beat and I reckon it' time to dump the 4-5-1, so I'd go with - Esson Tokely Innes Munro Shinnie Duncan Ross-------------------------------Hayes Sanchez Rooney Foran Subs - Tuffey, Sutherland, Proctor, McBain, Gillet*, Blumenshtein/Duff, Odhiambo * - If Gillet is still out, Golabek comes in.- We Need Another Hayes!
Apparently he wasn't just linked with Leeds, he scored for them in a reserve game against Middlesbrough. Where did I hear about him? Well I suppose it was just from research due to my curiosity in that region. You never see any Pacific players really, except for Tim Cahill (he turned out for the Samoa U16s I think). There has been a few at rather low league Australian sides, as well as the odd USL team in America. The New Zealand League (which I doubt is really that great) has a fair few mind, most likely due to geographical reasons and this article goes on to say that Krishna is the best one in it. That's where it all stemmed from really. You see plenty of Pacific rugby players. There's Vijay Singh the golfer. As well as a few dotted others around other sports, but football seems to the one place you never see them. It could be a new market for a team like ICT!- We Need Another Hayes!
Roy Krishna. He's the man we need!- Marius Niculae.
Didn't Kavala have Craig Moore up until a few months ago?- Team for Hamilton
Aye, as good as Ross is, a bit too slight to play to start against Accies. While Odhiambo and Sanchez also aren't the biggest, I feel that after Eric's performance at Ibrox he gives the pace down the wing the team needs in the absence of Hayes (in fact I nearly went with Duff at right back with Tokely at right wing), while Sanchez may be more capable of playing the killer ball through to the front four. Ross can always come at half time should he need to mind (even before!).- Team for Hamilton
Remember how Hamilton play. A 5-4-1 ultra-defensive system relying on stopping the other team playing. With that in mind I'd go - Esson Tokely Innes Munro Shinnie Duncan Sanchez Odhiambo Rooney Foran Sutherland Subs - Tuffey, Ross, Duff, McBain, Golabek, Proctor, Blumenshtein- Craig Brewster
Al-Ahli is who it seems to be, who are managed by David O'Leary. They're also captained by Cannavaro. Massive squad by the looks of things too. - Inspirational Songs
