  1. Tuffey Tokely Golobart Gillet Hayes Ross Jones G.Shinnie A.Shinnie Tade McKay Subs - Esson, Piermayr, Sutherland, Tansey, Foran, Meekings, Williams
  2. If he was on trial last year and deemed not good enough, I doubt he'll be good enough this year!
  3. It was only last month that it was reported that some of the Muirfield Mills money was going to spend to enhance the playing squad. I wonder if that's still the case.
  4. The original thread title was better IMO...
  5. I wonder if he'll be County bound. That'd be a good move for him actually.
  6. I've heard almost from the horses mouth, that there's a real level of laziness within the U19s, with many of the squad not being able to be bothered and leaving the other more dedicated players frustrated.
  7. Should have put that post in the Transfer Targets thread. Sorry.
  8. There's a Norwegian striker in the Japanese league who plays for Jef United called Tor Hogne Aaaroy. While he is 35, I doubt his wages would be that much and a player like this may be something that would be really beneficial. Picture the scene - 10 minutes to go and ICT are 1-0 and hoofing the ball forward and on he comes. He would be unplayable (mainly because he's 6"9!)!
  9. I think if Tokely wanted to go or wanted to go to another country, we would know by now. He's had "big money" moves on the table before, Turkey a while back was mentioned, as was a move to the no longer existing North Queensland Fury. If he wanted to go, we'd know by now and I think that the fact that nothing has been said suggests more that he's away and Butcher doesn't wasn't want to face the same level of flack as he did with Munro and Duncan again.
  10. Maybe, with Butcher trying to bring back Ian, we'll see the return of Gillian Black!
  11. No-one is saying that Tokely should be kept due to him being a club legend. The reason I and almost everyone else wants him to stay here is because he is still one of the most dedicated, hard working and consistently solid players that this club has. Some say he's too slow. Some say he's too old. Some say he's past it. When did he last have a bad game? I honestly couldn't tell you. That's why he should be here next season. Sadly though, I think it will not be and it will be a shame if, once again Terry Butcher rips yet another piece of the little soul that's left out of this club.
  12. Tokely's been one of the best players this season. Still solid and still seems to be one player who really puts everything into a performance and obviously still really cares about this club. For that reason, I fully expect the tactical genius that is Terry Butcher to punt him at the end of the reason, replacing him with English loanee dud who has no interest in being at the club.
  13. I'm not surprised really - I heard a while back he was off and his recent programme interview hinted at that when he said that he "very frustrated" at not getting a regular game. Shame he's away, he's a good keeper, but he's too good to be sitting on the bench and will get another club no problem.
  14. Zander Diamond's maybe someone worth looking at. Experienced, but never really fulfilled his potential. Could do a Darren Dods and come good if at a club like this one.
  15. Does anyone else recollect last season, as soon as safety was confirmed (albeit earlier than this season), Tuffey was given a chance in goal straight away? I see this hasn't happened this season, even though I suppose Tuffey did get a chance a while back when Esson was injured. I wonder then, if Butcher is playing Esson from now on, because he knows Tuffey will be away.
  16. I'd probably brace yourself then if I were you. Apparently Butcher's hit-list isn't over....yet.
  17. HT - Saints 1-1 ICT FT - Saints 2-1 ICT Saints 1st scorer - Thompson (the big tall striker - used to play in England. The number 9 I think) ICT 1st scorer - Gillet Attendance - 3,742
  18. So as things stand, of all the players who're out of contract, the following have not (as far as we know) been offered new deals are Johnny Tuffey, Kenny Gillet, Ross Tokely, David Proctor and Thomas Piermayr. I think Gillet and probably Tuffey will be offered new deals (though I suspect the latter may well be away) and Tokely definitely should (I can see Butcher not though). Piermayr perhaps will be away then, with maybe Proctor following him, though Butcher seems to keep him no matter what. Here's a thought for you though. With all the outrage about Munro and Duncan being gotten rid of last season, I wonder if Butcher will announce those leaving after the end of the season. Does that mean then that he's getting rid of somebody hugely influential and popular with the fans? If he was to announce today that say Piermayr and Proctor were leaving, there might be a couple of disagreeing views, but nothing massive and certainly nothing on the scale of last season. Does this mean then that Tokely (as I predicted earlier in the season), will be one of those leaving and Butcher will only announce it later on to avoid the outrage he knows, correctly will come his way?
  19. Surely UEFA will step in...wouldn't they?
  20. Out of all of those who are out of contract at the end of the season - Those I'd offer a new deal - Esson - Most consistent player in the team. A must keep. Tokely - Old and slow yes, but still reliable and seems to still be one of the few of really cares about the club. Gillet - Seems solid enough to me. I like him. McKay - Works hard, but needs a Rooney character alongside him. He is not a lone striker. Tade - Hardest working player to ever wear an ICT shirt. Like McKay, needs someone to work alongside. Hayes - For obviously reasons... Tuffey - A good keeper, but supposedly on one of the biggest wages at the club. Would probably offer him a deal, but I suspect he'll be away. Those I'd perhaps offer a new deal - Owain Tudur Jones - A good ball player and international, but is apparently earning the biggest wage at the club this season and for his record with injuries, is he really worth keeping when he isn't available for large parts of the season? Greg Tansey - Can't think of the last time I came away from game and thought he'd played well. Flatters to deceive most of the time and is often nothing more than a passenger. Is perhaps worth offering a new deal, as he maybe has "something", will we ever see it though? Thomas Piermayr - In and out the squad. Perhaps re-signing as a back up. Those I'd punt - David Proctor - Rubbish and has been for years. Claude Gnakpa - Lazy and already (thankfully) gone. Of the loanees - Roman Golobart - A great defender who'll play at the top level IMO. I'd try and sign him again next season, or even on a real deal is he becomes available. Steve Williams - He's steady most of the time. Certainly could do worse. Sam Winnall - Another Steve Watt/Aiden Chippendale/Alex MacDonald, never had a chance and will probably not be seen again.
  21. HT - ICT 0-1 Dunfermline FT - ICT 1-2 Dunfermline ICT 1st scorer - Foran Dunfermline 1st scorer - Kirk Attendance - 3,217
  22. Is is just me, or is it the standard of football in some of these videos higher than what ICT currently play?!
  23. There seems to be a real air from some of the squad that they think the season is already over - taking a "it's nearly summer holidays time, lets kick a ball around" kind of attitude. Some are worse for it than others, particularly those non-Scottish players who were signed last pre-season (I'm looking at you Tansey...). Attitudes like that from the players and management will lead to doom. We are NOT too good to go down.
  24. How on Earth is Ireland a "backwater"? It's one of the most developed and at one time prosperous countries on the planet!
  25. As I said on the other thread, I'd have him back in a second. Though I think the chances of it happening are slim to none.
