  1. Boys at the front of the North Stand on Saturday seemed to be having a gay old time. And good on them.
  2. Perhaps Wilson is being 'negative' because what he is watching is negative, dull, repetitive, stale football. To try dress up as if being other than that would be dishonest and unprofessional. No 'sour grapes', just facts. Give me the truth over a silly ultra-positive fairy story just for the sake of it, any day of the week. If you don't like the radio coverage, maybe make your way to the Caley Stadium every other weekend and see for yourself...
  3. Fon Williams Raven Warren Devine Williams Draper Tansey Mutombo Polworth Roberts Storey Subs - Esson, Foran, Tremarco, Vigurs, Wedderburn, Sutherland, MacRae Time to drop the lacklustre Vigurs for Polworth as well as giving the team some much needed width, especially down the left with Roberts with Williams as the overlapping wing back.
  4. Now while I agree that flares are dangerous and have no place in a football stadium, I'm starting to grow tired of this attitude where they and smoke bombs are one and the same. On top of that, we're always told how dangerous smoke bombs are, but what type of danger are we talking about here? All we're told is 'You wouldn't want to breathe that stuff in, it's bad for you" but we can't go through life like that. I doubt the half time pie and bovril or a pre-match cigarette are particularly good for you either. Should we only sell celery at the kiosk from now on? Just out of interest, for something that's seemingly so dangerous, have there ever been any injuries in Scottish football as a result of one being set off? I personally have never heard of a case. Should people bring them to the games anyway? No. Is it the end of the world if they do? No. Should they be banned as a result? No. The CJT statement has an attitude I'm not keen on. It shouldn't be wishing the expulsion of those who've brought smoke bombs in the past, rather inviting and helping them support the club in a different way. Scotty's point about Toronto is an interesting one. I fear we aren't progressive enough over here to do something so sensible, but if we could I wouldn't be opposed to it. I believe smoke bombs do add something to the atmosphere and if that can be added in a safe manner than what really is the problem?
  5. With good reason. https://youtu.be/f9z0HDRgZDo?t=19s

Notice in that article, not one of the quotes from Hughes mentions Ofere by name. Could well just be a case of the Sun putting two and two together. And is anyone else bored of Mahonio's made up transfer rumours? It's cringeworthy stuff.
  7. Has there been a worse slogan in history than 'Pyro - No football'? Ugh.
  8. My MOTM match was the guitar playing Stirling fan in the Main Stand. *Digs out plastic Barney the Dinosaur ukulele for Saturday*
  9. Lost by goals that could've been easily avoided, the story of our season. Like someone else was saying, Tremarco was quite good and I honestly think that's his best position. I was also quite impressed with Mutombo. He seems to have lost the headless chicken stuff and now has some idea what he's doing with the ball and when to release it. I think had the game gone on a couple more minutes, we'd have equalised. The kamikaze 50s style 3-2-5 we were playing (which involved Tremarco and Draper playing as attacking wing backs) had Killie on the ropes.

Trials at Caley Thistle and Morton yet neither choose to sign him, while speculation of joining Derry City came to nothing. He's now signed for another club in Irish League, which suggests really that he probably isn't particularly fantastic. Looks like the talk of being, at best, no better than what we already have were probably quite close to the truth.

Imagine the manager of your club achieving the biggest thing in your club's short history and wanting him gone barely months later. Imagine living in a world of such stupidity and spoiledness. I for one simply cannot fathom it.
  12. Thought you said on P&B that you were boycotting games until Hughes left?
  13. I was under the impression that Esson's first team football days are behind him due to injuries. Won't be surprised to see Brill and OFW (or someone else) as the two keepers next season with Esson the full time GK coach but registered for emergency purposes.
  14. Giovanni Di Stefano?

You're quite taken with Darren Murray aren't you? I'm heard on the grapevine that we were willing to pay a small(ish) fee for him if he impressed in his trial. Seemingly he didn't and so we didn't.
  16. A shame McHattie is banned. He was godawful at the last Killie game at the Caley Stadium!
  17. I was never that keen on Draper at centre-back and the thought of Wedderburn back there against Magennis gives me the boo boo gibbies! Now I've been quite impressed with Tremarco in there in the past but granted, he is liable to dropping a clanger. Is Raven an option though? Seemingly he was a centre-back before being converted to a right back at Liverpool. He'd certainly be steady enough to fill in I reckon.

He didn't try his best at all, he looked liked he couldn't be bothered and bereft of any drive. He may very well have been gifted but the only thing of note (bar a consolation goal against Celtic) was the spitting incident in a reserve game. Spitting on a teenager no-matter what the circumstances was awful and brought some coverage we could've done without. No doubt we'll see him on some of the 'Worst Ever Player' threads in years to come.

And surprise surprise Dani Lopez has left the building. Kenny Crawford from the BBC has just tweeted that his contract's been cancelled by mutual consent. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
  20. IIRC their manager Michael Appleton was linked with the ICT job when Butcher left.
  21. Needing some pace out wide IMO, so I'd like to see Roberts get a start and Fisher partnering Storey up top. With that in mind, I'd go with - Fon Williams Raven Warren Tremarco Williams Polworth Draper Tansey Roberts Fisher Storey Subs - Esson, Sutherland, Vigurs, Mutombo, Wedderburn, Foran*, Vincent* * Should Foran or Vincent be out, bring Brown onto the bench. If they're both out, bring MacRae on as well.

Not a really a big surprise if Stokes turns us down to be honest. I did speak to an ICT fan recently who wanted us to sign Derek Riordan though. ........Nah, you're alright!

Ah another of Mahonio's transfer rumours. When's Andy Kirk signing?
  24. I see Conor Henderson has signed for Grimsby Town (who he was previously on loan at). Also, the aforementioned ex-Man United striker John Cofie (a big lumbering bloke who didn't do anything) signed for Wrexham about a fortnight after his trial with us. He's since been released. Unbelievably, according to Wikipedia, Man United signed him from Burnley at the age of 14 for £1m! Some people may also remember the pacy winger and striker Toby Ajala (not Ayala as many in the press were misspelling his name) who we had on trial a few months, who scored at a reserve game at Grant Street. Looks like he signed for Dover Athletic shortly after his trial with us and has just signed again for Torquay in the last week or so. Midfielder Oliver Norburn, formerly of Bristol Rovers and Plymouth and was on trial in pre-season and played against Forres and St Mirren, signed for Guiseley AFC in November. They play in the National League (previously the Conference). At the time I was surprised we didn't sign him as I thought he looked a decent player. It was never really announced if it was true or not, but there was talk in the pre-season that we had Petershill midfielder Mark Lamont (who'd previously played for St Mirren and Dumbarton and had also attracted interest from Hamilton Accies) on trial. Looks like we might see him in action this afternoon as he later signed for Stirling Albion!

What about Miles Hippolyte? He's got the pace out wide that we really need especially with Doran out and he's got a great long throw. Seemingly we were keen in the summer but couldn't do a deal.
