  1. Ah Aberdeen. A place where most of it's inhabitants are colder and greyer than their city itself. And anyway, who becomes so angry after their team's flopped to a community-feeder-club-with-no-fans that they read the opposition club's forum and when they don't like what's being said, sign up to hurl abuse? What a sad sad existence they must have.
  2. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/opinion/sport/inverness-record-fc-aberdeen-seem-7344457#ph7yW676cE0adS12.97 Article here giving more of an ICT perspective. Writer should paraded at half time in front of the fans IMO.
  3. HT - ICT 1-1 AFC FT - ICT 2-1 AFC ICT 1st scorer - Tansey AFC 1st scorer - Rooney Time of 1st Goal - 9
  4. I remember reading a quote somewhere from the well traveled English manager Bob Houghton. He claimed that the Hong Kong national league used to be a very good standard. Then the EPL and other major European leagues started getting shown on TV and people didn't want to watch the local sides anymore and thus the standard dropped. I've always found it strange as well that people who are the loudest to moan about kick-off times and claim to be 'against modern football' are the same ones who subscribe to Sky and BT. The very root of the problem. You also see now the concept of Inverness-based people who claim to be Man City and Chelsea fans. Would you have seen that 20 years ago?
  5. Tansey and Draper no. Vigurs and Vincent - yes. I'd also argue he's a better winger than Mutombo as well.
  6. Aye, maybe if they only had one striker to choose from they'd have won eh....
  7. Seems to be some posters are very close to going down the old 'you've never played so what do you know?' line. A bizarre concept which seems totally unique to football. You'd never hear someone say "What do you know about politics? You've never been an MP". Jonathan Ross reviews films, but how many has he directed?
  8. A link posted elsewhere on the forum said that Ofere was also in talks with Motherwell but surprise surprise couldn't agree terms.
  9. Higdon could've been a good foil for Storey and would undoubtedly have scored goals. How that isn't what Hughes is looking for is absolutely bizarre.
  10. Very generous of you to give points for Storey. I don't think he even touched the ball!
  11. Can we please stop calling them a 'young team'? Every time I see it and I can't stop picturing some teenage ned with a thick Glaswegian accent saying "Hey mistah! Gies a quid to watch ya motar!"
  12. We broke the wage structure once before with Niculae and I remember there being constant rumours about dressing room unrest. Ofere was a good player. Would I have welcomed him back? Yes. Do I wish he was still in our team? Yes. Would I bring him back if the price was miles more than he was worth? No.
  13. The chance of a Highland Derby match in the semi is now a very real possibility. Would it really be played at Hampden? Say we took 3,000 and County much the same, would the SFA really want to have a 6,000 attendance match in a 50,000 seat stadium? Surely a move to McDiarmid Park or Pittodrie would be far better, though I presume they wouldn't want all that traffic going along the A96. Maybe they should use Grant Street like they did for the Inverness Cup in the mid-90s!
  14. HT - Well 1-1 ICT FT - Well 1-2 ICT Well 1st scorer - Moult ICT 1st scorer - Tansey Time of 1st Goal - 11
  15. I'm afraid it's not somewhere that well-mannered, Crownian socialites like myself would attend particularly regularly.
  16. I'm beginning to think, with Alex Fisher's injury and no other striker brought in (despite a reported desire for one), not retaining Tobi Sho-Silva even after he'd expressed a desire to stay will turn out to be the wrong move. He never really was given enough of a chance IMO.
  17. I'd have thought with so much emphasis on underage drinking these days and the recent alleged rowdy behaviour, CJT would look to appear to show that's it's board often attend far more classy establishments than dives like Dows. I was thinking more of the Castle Street Restaurant or even So Coco!
  18. I see Liam Hughes has been billed in the past by Cambridge fans as 'Mr Versatile'. I wonder if that means it's the end of the road for Lewis Horner.
  19. Strange though given David Raven's apparent pleas for a new deal, yet still yet to sign up. Hope the rumours that Yogi doesn't rate him turn out to be false, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him to go...
  20. I don't know if it's changed now, but I'm sure Airbles station was closed last time we were at Fir Park. It's definitely closer though, but could well still be under construction.
  21. Alleged inappropriate behaviour by young people is going to be discussed in a bar. Does anyone else see the irony in that?
  22. According to the Daily Express, Liam Polworth is interesting Barnsley and Wigan. While his contract is up in the summer, would we be entitled to compensation?
  23. Incidentally, there a poster on P&B the other week claiming that Dundee were keen on Danny Devine.
  24. Rob Shields is the agent whose network have some sort of connection to the club. It was he who used to offer the players that Terry Butcher used to send Steve Marsella down south to watch.
  25. Can you please stop these made-up rumours? It's getting embarrassing.
