  1. What I was very happy about, was the movement off the ball. Far improved on last season and I was also very impressed on how we won the ball back when we did lose it. We really are putting players under pressure now and hounding the ball now, instead of sitting back and waiting for it to arrive. While I didn't think that we were going full pelt, had we not had the two lucky brakes for the goals, we've have found a way of scoring anyway. We played very well and I thought that Hughes got it absolutely right. If we carry on as we did on Saturday and improve on it still, we should be top six yet again.
  2. Eh? I'm on Hughes's side on this thread. I also attended the game on Saturday and was delighted with what I saw. Just because one has been critical in the past of certain issues, does not mean I don't support the team or I want Hughes to fail, contrary to the sweeping generalisation some of the happy clappers/superfans like to think.
  3. I see the guy from STV tweeted today that Hughes has said that he still wants to make one more signing this transfer window. Presumably that's a striker. I actually wouldn't be opposed at having another look at Ayina, if he's willing to lower demands actually.
  4. I don't see what the whole hullabaloo is about really. I've been saying for a while I'd like to see more of Latapy and maybe someone else for that matter.

I don't understand Hughes's fascination with turning Vincent into a winger. The guy's clearly out of position. Doran and particularly Watkins looked far more dangerous when they came on. Williams deserves to keep his place though I think.

I may be wrong, is there not a way that you link your Facebook and Twitter and pages up? That way an update on Twitter would become a Facebook status and vice versa (I think).

  8. Good player, but a bit of a tube apparently. I see Andre Blackman wasn't signed by Leeds in the end as well!
  9. There shouldn't be politics in football IMO.
  10. I wasn't aware Hamilton Accies were a mini-Rangers unionist club. Fans with an Accie-fied Union flag, allegedly selling "Vote No" t-shirts in the club shop and displaying advertising boards for a charity set-up by former-BNP members (which also states a very antagonistic slogan by the way). Also, what does it say about Hamilton itself when the programme features adverts for both Alcoholic's and Cocaine Anonymous?!
  11. That promotion flag at the start is from 2008!
  12. Lewis Horner has announced he's signed for us on his Twitter page.
  13. Rory McAllister is the only player to ever be allocated it. Think Golabek wore it in a friendly once as well, but that's it.
  14. If the squad list on the main site is correct, the only number change this season is that Ryan Christie will wear the number 22 jersey. Presume Horner (if he has signed) will wear 17, leaving 13 and 21 free.
  15. We have a quality and hard-working squad. Top six should be a minimum. Any less than that should fall at the manager's door.
  16. Did Peterborough not bid about £100,000 in January and that was deemed an insult? Fleetwood are taking the mick with that sort of bid.
  17. Foran could maybe do it, but he seems awfully injury-prone these days and Ferguson's too young to take over the mantle just yet, despite his potential. Never been impressed with Watkins up there at all and I think Doran and Vincent would be even worse. What happens if we're chasing a game though and need forward on though? I can't say I'd fancy any of them to be much good up there. We need cover and an alternative and we need it now IMO.
  18. What if Mckay gets injured? What if we ever need to chase the game and get another man up-front? What about having a two man attack Plan B? Or are we just going to carry on playing one way regardless of whether it works or not?
  19. Actually what we're needing Mahonio is not a second striker, but a taller stronger character than Mckay. Can't get my head around signing this guy at all really.
  20. https://twitter.com/SkySportsPeteO/status/497056918251532288 Looks a decent source but doesn't say for how much.
  21. So much for Owain Tudur Jones and his "new challenge". I see he's on the bench in the Challenge Cup game tonight!
  22. What irritates me are these self-righteous types who seem to think that if you make any criticisms or have any opinions that are not from the "everything is great" handbook, you're not a real supporter. Airing your worries and criticisms is perfectly healthy and to be encouraged. I think as well, when a realist/negative nancy does say something positive it carries a bit more weight and is praise that is deserved. When a happy clapper gives it yet again in a kaleidoscope of colours, smiles and sunshine - it means nothing.
  23. Bit strange considering we've played some home games in Dingwall and County have been using Clach Park (and are again by the looks of the things)!
