  1. Hillsborough was a tragedy but was justice really going to gained by the making of a homemade banner for a match between a team who had nothing to do with Liverpool and a team who wasn't even formed at the time? They would have been better off making a banner in support of the club they were there to watch IMO.
  2. Will the 'Justice for the 96' banner from the League Cup Final be making a reappearance? What it had to do with ICT, Aberdeen or the Scottish League Cup, I don't know!
  3. I cant for the life of me understand this unhealthy obsession with ticket sales. there will be as many fans on the day as want to go and that's all that's important. As for the 'big secret' we are a private limited company who are not obliged to publish a complete breakdown of our income so perhaps the reason is that the company don't want others to know such things. I can't for the life of me understand this unhealthy obsession with telling people who would like the ticket sales to be more public that they have an unhealthy obsession with ticket sales. As mentioned countless times before, it would maintain interest and coverage in the lead up and could potentially encourage more people to go. It's worth a try anyway and if it's such a big secret, why have Falkirk done it? Maybe a good compromise would be for the club to release the figures and those who are hell bent on telling people they have an unhealthy obsession with ticket sales and they don't care, could simply just not look at them.
  4. Christ, Harry Gow's real!
  5. Was thinking the same actually. Someone was saying on here that Sutherland had been offered a new deal, but Baptie had been released, while there was no news on Ferguson yet. Strange that the one who had been offered a deal played but the other two weren't in the squad. Also, I heard yesterday that Devine is signing very soon while things are 'looking good' on the Ofere front.
  6. No Ferguson in the squad yesterday. Does that suggest he's away?
  7. We have a better squad than Falkirk. We should, like we did in the semi, attack from the off, grab the game by the scruff of the neck and show why we deserve to win the cup. I like the idea of going 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 and just go out and do it. For me - Esson Raven Devine Meekings Shinnie Ross Draper Tansey Williams Watkins Ofere Subs - Mackay, Doran, Christie, Tremarco, Polworth, Vincent, Kink Now I've left Christie on the bench. From what I gather the two central midfielders for Falkirk are fairly older and slow. For that reason, as the start to tire, I'd like to see Christie and maybe Doran as well unleashed in the second half.
  8. What are National Flats? Are they like council houses? That picture's staged by the way.
  9. HT - Celtic 2-0 ICT FT - Celtic 4-0 ICT Celtic 1st scorer - Griffiths ICT 1st scorer - Tansey Time of 1st Goal - 6
  10. Does anyone know what kind of build up there'll be prior to the game? Do they also not as well parade the trophy with two club legends before the start? I'm sure that happened with County's final. I wonder who our legend would be. Munro? Tokely? Steve Paterson?
  11. Been one of our most underrated players this season IMO.
  12. To play Devil's Advocate a wee bit here, do we *need* a new left-back? We have Tremarco but I was looking at a Chester forum the other week and their comments seem to suggest that Danny Williams is actually naturally a full-back as well. I seem to remember much the same being reported when he signed. Also, he did play there last season in one game and from my recollection had a very good game indeed. Could he be the rampaging wing-back to replace Shinnie? I think he could be you know.
  13. Seemingly only the chairman knows the actual figure and he's not telling anyone else. Again, why the big secret? It's a bit silly IMO. I don't believe the club have any reason to embarrassed by how many they've sold, but the fact it's radio silence on this front, gives the impression that they are.
  14. I heard somewhere on the grapevine that we'll be bringing in a keeper on loan at the start of next season in order for Brill to fully recover.
  15. I seem to recollect Livingston having a ticker on their website at one time for the number of season tickets they'd sold. Why can't we do that? What about every couple of days announcing the number? That would drum up interest constantly. Even if they didn't want to announce the numbers, they could say "We're with 20 of 12,000 etc., the person to buy the 12,000th ticket wins a shirt!". That'd get people interested. And anyway, why the big secret? Granted the amount doesn't really matter, but if we did announce it, would lose potential sales? No. If we didn't? Potentially. We've got nothing to lose by making the numbers public and potentially something to gain.
  16. Wouldn't be surprised in the slightest.
  17. Good player, a hard worker and would suit our team. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he's wanting bigger wages than we'd be prepared to offer though.
  18. I see on the PFA Availability List, along with Vigurs, I also spotted Stuart Carswell, Paul Lawson and John Sutton on it. Worth a look? I've always thought Sutton was a dangerous player but then if we retain Ofere we already have that 'type' of player. Carswell and Lawson would suit Yogi's style I reckon. There's also the brilliantly named David Banjo on the list. Great name but would probably be better suited at County!
  19. Baptie has been told he won't be offered a new contract. - and a decision on Ferguson will be given next week. Going by the PFA Player Availability list, you are right and Baptie has indeed been released.
  20. Probably some saddo in an office claiming it was litter. Also, did no-one think about giving Flora MacDonald's dog a scarf as well?! By the way, there's a lane round the back of my house that doesn't have a name. Should we win the cup we should get the council to name it after the club. In the event of that happening, I'll personally move into my garage so I can be the only resident on said Caley Thistle Street!
  21. The current white third kit is by some distance the dullest kit we've ever had. Looks like something like a Welfare League team would wear. I don't understand the clubs obsession with having to have the home colours in the away kit either and I'm bored of constant white kits. Black seems to be a total non-starter as well. It'd be nice to see something totally different for a change. Think I'm right in saying that we haven't had a non-home colour away kit since that orange number in 2002.
  22. A 'nothing friendly'?! It's the Qatar Airways Cup don't you know!
  23. A red reverse of the home kit as the away kit next season, would look pretty smart IMO.
  24. Can't say I know anything about the guy but the Portsmouth fans on Twitter seem to rate him and are disappointed he was released.
  25. It doesn't, I just think it's awfully curious that there now seems to be all these Man City and Chelsea supporters in the Highlands. When I was in school there wasn't any. Now that they're successful that seems to have changed. I wonder if some Russian oligarch bought say Bristol Rovers and they won the European Cup, you'd see their shirts up being worn up here... Personally, I think having two clubs is like having a wife and a girlfriend. Just wrong!
