Is this the only answer
Depends what you mean by "entertaining". I don't particularly find endless passing between defence and midfield with no end product and usually given away entertaining and I don't think I would find being relegated again entertaining either. No, not at all.

Birmingham Away
My fear about this season, rests not with the players, who we all know are capable, but the manager. My fear is that Hughes doesn't really care if we get into Europe or into the top six or win one of the cups. All he's interested in playing football "the right way". Now passing sequences (apart from when the defence lose it) might be nice to watch, but they get very monotonous when time and again they go nowhere. In fact last season, we seemed to stop our own attacks by someone putting his foot on the ball and passing it sideways........or more commonly backwards. Does Hughes look at this club as somewhere he can improve and kick on with or as a project to show the rest of Scotland that you can play that style of football here? So far it seems like the latter. We'll find this season how good Hughes really is, but I would be lying if I said I had high hopes.

Seemingly the penalty came from the ICT defence losing the ball after dilly dallying around the back with it too much. Hope that's not a sign of things to come.

Summer transfer targets
Interesting to read about Mckay's complacency. In 2012-13, Mckay only became a great goalscorer AFTER he lost his place in the team and was replaced by Foran. When he got back in the team, he became a great player. I've always believed that no player should be guaranteed a starting position and the lack of a replacement could well see a cosiness and a lack of hunger creep in that won't do him or us any good at all.

Do we have that though up top if Mckay gets injured though? I'm not so sure.

Ferguson has potential but is still rather young, while Foran seems awfully injury-prone these days (will his role from now on be that of a "super sub?) and I don't particularly like Watkins up there. One more definitely needed IMO.

Summer transfer targets
Eh? When people talk about wanting a tall striker, they mean someone about 6"1+. Not another striker in the Mckay mould, which we already have in Ferguson.

Tall striker? He's 5"9! Taller than billy Aye two inches. Still not exactly tall!

Even if Foran will be out for a while, I still can't understand (if it happens), signing Lewis Horner at all. From what I can see, we need another midfielder about as much as another keeper. And what about another striker? We've not had a proper replacement since Adgestein left and I find it hard to believe there's no-one out there that we could afford.

ICT vs Fleetwood Town
I was watching highlights from a couple of seasons back the other day. The difference in Doran's size is quite noticeable and I don't just mean in a filling out kind of way. I don't think he's of that stocky a build, he is carrying excess weight. I've also been more impressed by Watkins and Williams this pre-season as well and would be inclined to start them against Hamilton.

ICT vs Fleetwood Town
As mentioned in another thread, Doran needs to lose weight big time. There's stocky, like Johnny Hayes and Carl Tremarco, but Doran's not like that. He needs to lose weight pronto. I've been at a few of these pre-season games and I'm no longer convinced Doran should be a guaranteed starter. Watkins has looked far more dangerous. Also, Hughes needs to give up on turning Vincent into a winger. He's not a winger, it's never going to happen, time to give it up. I also thought Fleetwood were very poor. That is all.

New Home Shirt 2014-15
Is sacrificing the creation of an identifiable club identity worth it to sell a few more jerseys? A shame if that's the case. If so, what is ICT? A business yes, but is this a football club or just some franchise? If stripes look so terrible, why do you see kids many kids in Barcelona kits? Stripes have never done the likes of Newcastle or Sunderland or Argentina any harm and until now, I didn't realise it had done us any harm either! In fact here's an idea, maybe if say, St Mirren or even Juventus switched to say white tops they'd sell more kits and thus make more money. After all, kids like them and making money is the only thing the matters apparently!
