I think I'm right in saying that Victoria Park's pitch is fairly narrow, certainly narrower than the Caley Stadium's one anyway. With that in mind, I don't think wingers will be that effective overall. Also, let's take the game to them. The likes of Scott Boyd is a solid centre-back, but he's as slow as a week in jail. Get Mckay and Watkins back up-front and let them get past them. A couple of months back, Vincent played in a reserve match sat in-front of the back four. He was very good in that role, as his general recycling of possession is decent, but he doesn't offer much bite going forward. Sat next to a Draper type, I think he could flourish there. I'm sure when he signed as well it was reported that he'd played there at times for Stockport and Kidderminster Harriers.

I remember someone saying to me once that they're idea to stop diving to win penalties was that if a player dived and it was clear and blatant to the referee, the ref should give a penalty at the other end. I don't know how easy it would work, but it certainly would cut it out.

I think you're right. The requirements to play in Division 3 are to install floodlights of a certain standard and a medical room (or something along those lines). When the pyramid system was agreed, only Clach and Wick were up to standard, but I'm sure I did hear recently that Brora had installed these floodlights to match with the requirements.

Maybe we should get Laurence and Charles Bannerman onto the field to unveil it before the next game. I'm sure that'll be very well received.

I believe they're only allowed to display till the following seasons competition. Perhaps the rules have changed, but until recently, Ross County still had their "Third Division Champions 1998/99" flag up! Even then there must be an ICT flag of some kind that could used. Anything would look better than that flagpole with nothing on it.

Presume it'll be called off because of the game tomorrow. They should play it as a warm up act at the stadium before the St Mirren match actually! That's what they do in South America.

Surely the club itself with have some flags kicking about somewhere. Seems daft having a flag pole that's never got anything on it.

Talking of flags, what ever happened to the First Division Champions flag we had up for a little while? It'd be nice if it was displayed on matchdays as opposed to just an empty flagpole.
