  1. I'll take that as a no then.
  2. McHugh isn't very good, hence why he was released and ended up at Airdrie on loan. Five goals in 70 matches for Motherwell. No thanks. As far as I'm aware, I've never seen Chalmers play. I doubt you have either... No-one is saying you can't have an opinion, but it's hard to give it any credence when you've never seen any of these players. The same goes for tactics and team line-ups and all the rest of it.
  3. I'll reiterate again that we need to give Cameron Mackay some game time before the final. Imagine Falkirk bombard the goal for the opening ten minutes (not inconceivable at all) and then Esson picks up an injury or gets sent off (or both!). This is nothing against Mackay at all but do we really want a teenage goalkeeper making his debut as a substitute in the final with no first team match experience at all? What have we got to lose by playing him on Sunday? In fact, I wouldn't even be risking Esson ahead of the final.
  4. I take it you supported them when they in the lower leagues as well aye....?
  5. You'd take Chalmers and McHugh over McDonald and Ainsworth. I know you don't attend many games, but jeez. From what I remember, McHugh hardly did anything in the Premiership for Motherwell, hence why he was released.
  6. Accies got promoted through the play-off.
  7. What about Stuart Kettlewell? Unless he's more involved with coaching now...
  8. Is there anything the club and/or the council can do to stop the sale of fake merchandise outside the ground? Surely that's taking business away from the club and possibly in breach of the club trademark (if they have the rights to the name of course?)? I suppose the other question is though, is what kind of self-respecting fan would buy any of that trash?
  9. The Northern Irish teams play the same type of season as us (expect no football on a Sunday!). A trip to Belfast to face Linfield or Glentoran (featuring Curtis Allen - booo!) would be good fun and might see us bring 500+ fans. Glenavon (Johnny Tuffey - booo!) are in the draw as well, but they're in County Armagh not far from the Republic border I believe.
  10. Has De Vita signed a new deal at County? Think he'd be a great signing.
  11. HT - ICT 0-0 DUFC FT - ICT 1-1 DUFC ICT 1st scorer - Watkins DUFC 1st scorer - Ciftci Time of 1st Goal - 61
  12. Baptie has been told he won't be offered a new contract. - and a decision on Ferguson will be given next week. That's a shame. I really liked the look of Baptie. I'd be surprised if Ferguson isn't retained, especially after talking him up in the press for a couple of months. On who to bring in, I think McFadden is passed it and would probably still command a big wage. Three or four years ago yes, but not now. I might be wrong but isn't Tesselaar always injured? McGeouch would be worth looking at though and I think Ainsworth would fit into our team no bother.
  13. Latest story in the Courier seems to suggest that Ofere is very keen to stay. I think with a proper pre-season behind him and getting really up to full fitness he'd be excellent.
  14. Given the status of both players, I doubt Horner is on megabucks. If anything, I wouldn't be surprised if he was the lowest paid player in the first team squad. Could we say the same for Kink? I actually wouldn't be surprised if he's one of the highest.
  15. After the story about Blackman came up the other week, I had a look at Talk Celtic to see what they said about him. Most said the same as us - decent player but a complete ned. I did see this cracker though! Aye...that'll be it!
  16. At least Mckay and Rooney, even when things weren't going their way, looked interested in the game. Kink has been anonymous each time he's come on and the one appearance I did see him play 90 minutes in the U20s, he looked no better than some of the teenage players. Going by his Wikipedia page, he hasn't played the equivalent of a season's worth of games since 2010 and I've a few comments from his time at Middlesbrough that suggest his lack of effort is a fairly regular occurrence. Can't say I'd be shedding any tears if he left us.
  17. Exactly. Seems like a waste of a wage to me. A luxury signing if there ever was one.
  18. I'm essentially resigned to losing Watkins now, but I'm relieved that it looks like we have at least some chance of retaining Ross, Devine and Ofere. I also wouldn't be against retaining Polworth for another season. Can't see the reasoning behind retaining Horner and Kink though. The former seldom makes the bench, while the other one looks rubbish!
  19. I see Aberdeen have released Andrew Driver. Granted he didn't seem to do much when he was there, but we seem to have a knack of rejuvenating players like his careers. Should Watkins go as well, I think he'd the type of player to fit into our team as a replacement quite well - wages providing of course.
  20. *Allegedly* we have offered him a deal.
  21. I hope we retain Baptie for another couple of seasons. He's got potential. Presume Ferguson will be kept on as well.
  22. Rubbish. Shinnie's agent was blabbering off in the media as soon as he turned down a new deal, a couple of months before he signed for Aberdeen. I've read some nonsense in my time of here (a fair chunk written by me!) but saying that we should drop one of our best players and thus not field our strongest team for our biggest game ever, just to spite someone's agent is up there with the biggest amount of garbage I've ever read!
  23. It's a closed shop I think. Rangers weren't promoted in, they were invited to compete.
  24. I see Kane Hemmings has been released by Barnsley. Worth a look? I think he could be.
  25. Talk on Twitter is that we've now past the 10,000 mark.
