  2. I think that's a very good point. When it comes to the stadium's openness and it's battering from the wind and rain for months of the season, that would be probably almost entirely diminished if we had summer football. I reckon as well, you'd see a bigger away crowds, because travelling (especially up from the central belt) would be a far more worthwhile and safer experience in July than it would be in January.
  3. I saw a post on P&B by a Ross County fan actually who thought that the area between the new uni and the railway line would be a good spot and build a new train station within it. I don't what that sites like in terms of building a stadium there or the ins and outs of new railways stations but it's a nice idea. There was post a while back on here from a poster who seemed to suggest that the club had looked at relocating to this sort of area in the past, so maybe a new stadium at some stage isn't just a pipe dream. Presume we'd need to find a buyer for the land though. Were Asda not very close to buying it once?
  4. I think the stadium's a far bigger issue than people realise. It's a poorly placed, poorly designed mess and not exactly enticing to casual fans home or away. Unless we redevelop it or move somewhere else, crowds will only go down IMO.
  5. He's signed up until January I believe.
  6. Presume it's the Tokely red against Rangers is the tackle he's referring to.
  7. He could of course be going on loan with Aberdeen only paying X% of his wage. Hasn't enjoyed being at Birmingham apparently.
  8. Presumably that's in conjunction with Michael Fraser's goalkeeping school thing.
  9. Heard at the game yesterday, that Aberdeen are keen on bringing BOTH Shinnies in.
  10. I once heard that Larry actually attended the first Scotland-England game but had to leave at half time to put out some fires and then start his 36 hour shift at the cotton mill.

  12. I see Ben Greenhalgh came on as a substitute and provided the cross for the winning goal in Maidstone United's 2-1 win over Stevenage in the FA Cup tonight. Steve Watt is there as well but didn't feature. I must also point out that Maidstone's number 9 is the rather strangely named Jay May! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29999662
  13. Theoretically, if you booked the Megabus far enough in advance and walked to each ground, you could get it for about £5 return. The ICT buses don't even have WiFi ( ) and while some do have a telly, they don't pick up real telly, let alone Sky, so I was once subjected to having to watch Shrek. Shrek! No I don't think they would jump, at least not by much, but (and this is across the board in Scottish football), prices are out of control. IMO for the standard of football we actually see, £15 is about right. £20+ is simply outrageous.
  14. ?????? A post earlier on said that you can't do better than £15 return but it turns out you can. The crux of the matter is though, people can talk about breaking even etc. all they like, but for the price we pay, do we really see a standard of football that justifies it? I wonder how many people would like to come to more ICT games, but have simply been priced out by their own club. If prices keep going up, there'll probably be many more as time goes on.
  15. Here's one on ticket prices - Look at the average attendance at a match in Chile and then look at the ticket prices. Presumably these clubs must break even somehow and surely the Primera Division is a higher standard than the Scottish Premiership.
  16. So you can do better than £15 return then.
  17. I'd like to see us set-up with the 4-4-2 diamond shape that we used against Accies. Brill Raven Warren Meekings Shinnie Tansey Ross----------Christie Vincent Watkins Mckay Subs - Esson, Devine, Tremarco, Williams, Sekajja, Doran, Polworth
  18. Aren't Ross County's Supporter's Buses only £10 return?
  19. Regular games should be about £15 I would say. People can talk about the style of football and all that stuff, but the fact of the matter is, for the standard of football that we actually see, anything more than £15 to sit anywhere in the stadium is a rip-off. There's maybe a case for raising it to £18 for cup finals/derbies/important matches, but I think that's as far as it goes. Pricing is simply out of control and it's even worse down south and the current prices here still aren't exactly enticing to casual fans. We need to get these people into a loop and a routine of being regular attenders or in the long run, we could well lose them and their offspring forever.
  20. I see Pele's 10-1 to get the Elgin job. I'm sure they could do far worse actually. He's an Elgin City supporter as well IIRC.
  21. I see tomorrow's game is at "home" to Dundee United at Borough Briggs. That's a bit of a treck eh? Surely we could use Grant Street or Inverness City's ground instead of having the game all the way out there. Can't see many making the trip to be honest.
  22. I remember thinking in the pre-season games that Oswell looked quite good. I know he's had a bit of a nomadic career after leaving, but I'm surprised he's playing at as low a level as the Welsh Premier. That'd probably be about Highland League level.
  23. Be doing well to get half that IMO.
  24. Foran seemed to be quite involved with the reserve team last week along with Duncan Shearer. Put your house on him being the next manager. Wonder what that'd mean for Yogi though? Would we just not renew his contract or unless we made him Director of Football or something?
  25. He's been close to getting the boot a couple of times apparently.
