There was a big discussion about it prior to the last semi-final and in the end we didn't need to. Brill staying in for the shootout for the Aberdeen game was also fair enough. I was calling for it though during the extra time of the one we lost. Reguero was terrible with penalties, everyone knew that and having Esson (a man who we've never lost a shootout with us) put in would have given us a far better chance. I do remember some people being against making the switch, one person saying that Reguero "would be within his rights to get back on a plane back to Spain post-match" .......which of course in the end, is pretty much what he did. I reckon we'd have won the game had we made a switch and probably have won the cup.

Forgot to say, I thought Tremarco played well. The trialist was alright; fairly skillful, but clearly lacking fitness.

Kane Hull is a great name! Also, is Hayden Hollinger still with us? Sounds like someone who should be one of Justin Bieber's back-up dancers!

Hope the seagulls get him before I do!

I hope it isn't there on matchdays. Oh and by the way, I already do put a lot of effort in getting behind the club - I missed all but two games last season.

Nessie the Monster is at least identifiable to the local area. ICat was rubbish by the way. Why do we need to have a sponsors mascot anyway? Why didn't we have a dancing oil rig for Orion? Or a big plane for Flybe? Or how about a big dancing videotape player for when we had Sharp? A sandwich is cringeworthy IMO.

I don't have a problem with having the name of a company on the kit, but having that big sandwich mascot walking around pitchside at every game would be an embarrassment IMO.

I see Dundee have released a drawing of their new jersey. Why can't we do that?

I see Birmingham, Dunfermline and ICT flop Andrew Barrowman has returned to his natural level by signing for Greenock Morton.

Not sure we have copyright to Caledonian Thistle now that we've stuck Inverness in front of it. Besides rather than boo them perhaps we should get 12th man to persuade them to come support their namesakes. I'd rather they supported their local team to be honest. Accies are a smaller club like us and need the support.

Pinilla did play against ICT in a match we lost 4-1 at Tynecastle in 2006 (Graham Bayne scored our goal). He never played at the Caley Stadium though.

What's the deal with the goalkeeper kits next season? Are they doing to stay the same (albeit with Subway stuck on them)? Also, would we not save money having Dean Brill use the black away kit instead of a separate black goalie jersey? Hibs used to do this.

Blackman was a good player, but a total ned by the sounds of things.

Why's the Fort William game down as a U20 match? Seems a bit short notice to stick another first team game on that date. Seemingly neither ourselves or County are playing Brora this year because they're upgrading their ground to make it Division 3 compatible.

He played for Shrewsbury at one point and I think was playing for Bath City before coming to us. Nowhere seems to suggest he's signed for anywhere since. Wonder if his football career is over.

I don't know if he was ever officially a "trialist" or rather our shortest ever signing, but whatever happened to Harry Hooman? You may remember that he either did or was going to signing with us and started pre-season training last year along with the other batch of new signings (Greenhalgh, Williams, Watkins etc.), but then had a problem with a metal plate in his foot. I've tried looking to see where he is now, but he seems to have disappeared into the midsts of time.

It's someone who was quite prominent on this site once before. Think of a prominent namesake and work your way round there. For what it's worth, I used to think Dougal said a few things that ruffled a few feathers but weren't far off the truth. It's become a bit sad lately. Laurence, I haven't seen around for while, but when he does, he strikes me as such an unpleasant man.

I had a look in the Press and Journal today and it featured a report on the match between Aberdeen and Brechin. I'm not 100% sure, but it looks like him in the photo playing for Brechin. I looked at the squad list as well, but most of the Brechin team were trialists. Maybe that's where he's off to.

I'm sure we played Clach in that swoosh jersey with a white Orion thing stuck on. Remember Blumenshtein playing that day and thinking he looked really good!

I remember the first game after we got promoted in 2010, the new kit hadn't yet been unveiled and we wore the previous season's jersey with Orion stuck on over the Flybe sign. Wouldn't be surprised if he did the same thing again. Any else remember that time the shirts didn't turn up for ages and we played almost a whole pre-season in training gear?
