Marius check
That's very true and the reasons for the lack of linking up with, and gelling with others, have been pretty well documented on this and numerous other threads. My abiding memory of Marius will always be the goal he scored against Killie after tackling, and taking the ball off Don Cowie, who was obviously planning on doing something much more spectacular. I suppose I can forgive him for that one... :014:

Can I borrow a couple of quid.....?
It's an absolutely ludicrous state of affairs.. His son is on the board with the fancy title of Operations Executive, but yet is not authorised to sign cheques, or sanction payments of any kind... Meanwhile daddy is said still to have an estimated fortune of ?75M.... :017: What kind of a way is that to run any kind of a business..? No matter what transpires over the next few days Mileson and his pathetic little club should be booted out of Scottish football altogether. Now would be a very good time to consider league reconstruction...

Marius check
Don't forget Brewster is still registered as a player. Are you saying that he should have no say in who is signed, and what his earnings could or should be..?
-
Marius check
You might be right there, but is it not a bit soon to be making a judgement like that on Imrie..?

Marius check
Obviously it is not up to "these same people" to decide what would, or what wouldn't be an "acceptable" wage. But there could very well be a case for consulting the present players as to whether any future signings should be paid up to 5 times the going rate for a first team squad player... Can anyone deny that Marius's earnings have created a problem..?

Sadly, I totally agree with Kingsmills.... It is now time to terminate Marius's contract.

Motherwell -V- ICT : matchday thread
A lottery which we invariably lose.... :018:

Brewster's team selections
I think it should have been "backs to the wall" tactics last night - watching for the chance to hit them on the break - a draw would have been a highly satisfactory result... Blackie can function very well as an additional defender... Hopefully he will play on Saturday and hopefully the tactics will lean towards a more defensive set up, than appears to have been the case last night. That approach has served us well, away from home in the past...

Who's going to Motherwell?
The thought of two teams trying to play some kind of route 1, aerial football game is not one that appeals to me...

500 Not Out
You mean on Saturday against UTD...?

Can I borrow a couple of quid.....?
Supporter apathy will be the ultimate downfall of football in this country... :018: Ach well.... Who cares...? :004:

500 Not Out
I just hope that tonight's game does not become our 5th in succession without a win... :018:

Reserve game
Yet another full house at the TCS.... All eyes glued to the action unfolding on the field as usual....!! What a feckin brilliant pic.... Even the Mantis would have been proud of that one.... :rotflmao:

Team for Motherwell
I only saw the second half today, Eliza- but Bazza covered every blade of grass during that period - Just on the his second half display I would have made him MOM.... The Cellic keeper made a good save from his spot kick by correctly guessing the ball would go to his left. I'm not going to bother going tomorrow - I suspect Marius will be in the team....

ian black's shooting
Ian Black is simply sooooopperrrrrbbb :022: Who will ever forget his strike against DUFC at Tannadice...?
-
Reserve game
I only saw the second half - surprised to see Bazza putting in a full shift. Presumably that will rule him out for tomorrow at Fir Park... :024: I was kind of hoping that Niculae would be playing, but perhaps he's injured, or maybe not quite fully fit.... :rolleyes02:

Team for Motherwell
Yes... that was certainly an extremely astute observation... Brewster's no fool..... :018:

Can I borrow a couple of quid.....?
I think you're right about Carlisle, H/dee... There was a similar situation in the eighties when David Murray offerred to invest some of his millions in Ayr United. After several knock backs, and thanks to a friendship with Graeme Souness, he chose what was to him, the next best thing - Rangers FC.. Thankfully much more thought has gone into the development of ICT, than was ever the case at Gretna...

FA CUP GLORY
Barnsley - Chelsea looks like being the tie of the round to me. Watched Sheffield/Middlesbrough on Saturday night - cr@p game - wouldn't like to sit through the replay....

Team for Motherwell
Knowing him, or not knowing him doesn't come into it, Stevieco64. Marius was, by a considerable margin, our worst player on Saturday... As you seem to know more about him than anyone else on here, how would you assess his fitness at this moment..?

Marius check
I just saw a dramatically improved team performance from about the 62nd minute onwards... Didn't you? T'was as if a giant shadow hanging over the team had somehow been magically removed.... Wonder if Feb8th was there.. :024:

Set pieces/crossing
From today's Scotsman.... Hibs sealed what had once seemed an improbable win when John Rankin sent in an inch-perfect cross for Fletcher to run in and head home from just inside the six yard box.....

It did? Very much so.... I take it you weren't there....?
