Brewster was not the players' choice to replace Chisholm at Utd and they made life as awkward for him as they possibly could... He also had a thankless task there by having to get rid of several under performing highly paid players..... The nucleous of the ICT side were more than pleased to welcome him back to the fold at ICT and recent results bear this out.... To me they are now a much more effective unit than previously... supporting each other with real purpose and somehow looking much fitter and sharper... Every single one of them seems to have raised their game by at least a couple of notches..... They could have beaten Rangers yesterday the way they played.... Don Cowie might not agree with that (above). Towards the end of the first half Niculae tried to take on both their central defenders on the edge of the penalty box... Cowie was un-marked, in space and was screaming for the ball... I feel sorry for him... he is a talented player but his play will always be under more scrutiny than anyone else because of the money he is on... After yesterday - there might be a case for suggesting they should all be paid around the same level... :024:

Maybe... I was a big CC fan, but I have to ask myself why so many of our players seem to have clicked all of a sudden... I suspect it has something to do with their admiration both for Brewster the player, and manager. I also suspect he gives them much more encouragement and support, than they might have been used to under CC's reign - and that is beginning to pay big dividends....
