. You mean you are actually assuming Dundee will survive as a bona fide football club for at least 3 more years?

Team fer Cellic
Tokely was superb today, and is now much more comfortable in central defence - himself and Hogg are forming a decent CD partnership. Even if Gillet is fit I think TB should stick with Munro at LB. I also hope that MacDonald gets a start sometime soon, but not in this game. .....Esson..... Duff, Hogg, Tokely, Munro Hayes, Cox, Duncan, Doran, .......Foran...... .......Rooney...... Tuffey, Ross, McBain, MacDonald, Morrison, Sutherland

Oh right, aye.... Could be a good move for the boy then, eh? It was a superb win for ICT today - not that anyone doubted for a moment that we would pull it off (oops) Do you think ICT will ever play Dundee again in the league in our lifetime, H/Dee?

ICT -V- Motherwell : Matchday Thread
This was a very comfortable and confident performance, despite the absence of Hayes and Doran - if anything the scoreline actually flattered Motherwell. Given that they (Motherwell) made Celtic look decidedly average last week, the timing for next week's cup-tie could not be better. Bring on the Celtic!!

Hope they are going to be able to pay him.

Motherwell Preview & Report
Excellent preview and pre-amble. Well done guys!

Kenny Gillet
Which is whats been said for the last month or so...so i can understand why the OP is scratching his head wondering why he isn't playing. We were told not so long ago he had recovered from his injury and was only lacking match fitness - so far he hasn't even made it on to the bench. Is there is more to this story than meets the eye?

Celtic vs Rangers
I wouldn't accept that at all. I am prepared to accept there could very well be a link between drinking to excess and domestic violence, but I certainly wouldn't accept that Glaswegians are any more inclined to beat up their wives or partners than football fans from any other part of the country, or even the world You're surely not seriously suggesting that this is a problem peculiar to Glasgow?

I know a bloke who's dog died a couple of weeks ago... He's now affectionately known as Dugless by all his mates.

Celtic vs Rangers
McCoist and Lennon hardly made it into the "handbags" category with their outburst of petulance. I can't believe the over-reaction by the Scottish Media to what was a pretty typical, and fairly boring OF encounter. They're all whinging on about Scotland's shame, Glasgow's horror, etc, etc... There was even a debate in the Scottish Parliament this morning with one MSP claiming that domestic violence rises by about 50% throughout Scotland after an event like this. Calls for all future OF encounters to be played behind closed doors. What a load of crap! It's only a couple of weeks since the AC Milan - Spurs game, with the Gattuso/Jordan spat which was 100 times worse than anything that happened last night. Was anyone calling for all their games to be played behind closed doors? The only thing I would have taken exception to was the Rangers's players reaction to the ref over the red cards - he would have been well within his rights to issue more red cards for some of that stuff.

Hibernian -V- ICT : matchday thread
What do they know? Just been watching the highlights.....Hogg was careless in giving away possession. Esson could have shouldered some blame for being caught well off his line. I haven't heard any our own supporters who were actually at the game blame Ross for that goal. It was a good opportunist strike though....

Games until the split
We've got Dundee Utd (twice) Motherwell, Celtic, Kilmarnock & Hearts. Where do you see these 8 points coming from? . .

Hibernian -V- ICT : matchday thread
My calculator tells me that we've earned 1.45 points per game when Jonny has featured (top 6 form), and just 0.57 ppg when he hasn't (guaranteed relegation). So extrapolating being without him for a full season, we'd end up with a Gretna-esque 22 points. I was hoping an accountant would respond to that question! A very interesting analysis and it goes a long way to answering all those who suggested that ICT were something of a 1 man team.

Mothersmell -v Sellic
And not forgetting the biased, bigoted officials...

Mothersmell -v Sellic
Motherwell looking very comfortable now....Can't see Sellic getting anything from this. Guess we might have to settle for 6th spot in the table, rather than 5th.

Mothersmell -v Sellic
Motherwell doing really here... 1-0 up at HT. Normally I'm delighted to see either half of the OF getting a doing, but I don't want to see Mothersmell open up a 4 point gap between us.... Help!

Hibernian -V- ICT : matchday thread
If we have a fit and raring to go Jonny Hayes back in the side, and possibly Kenny Gillet restored to L.B I'd be confident of a win. Also agree with Stan (above) that Nick Ross performs best in a central-mid role, and should replace Cox.

Something we should try here?

I hope we're not going to end up with a pitch like at St Johnstone or Motherwell....

Team furra Hibs
.............Esson.......... Tokely.....Hogg.....Munro.....Duff Hayes....Duncan....Ross.....Doran ...........Foran.......... ...........Rooney......... Subs : Tuffey, Innes, Eric, Cox, Sutherland. Hoping Hayes is fit.... If not Cox in centre mid, with Nick Ross right mid.

points in bag better than games in hand
Midden won it!! Another good result for us.
-
points in bag better than games in hand
Agree with all the above.... A Top 6 finish is still well and truly in our own hands now, and with Munro, Ross, Morrison and Gillet, and possibly Johnny Hayes all on the verge of being available for selection, things are now starting to look up. There was a terrific fighting spirit right through the team against St Johnstone - they really battled for every scrap. More of the same on Saturday should help us get a win against the Hibs, and that would set us up nicely for the Dundee Utd game next Wednesday night. A tall order I know, but 6 points from our next two games, or even 4 out of 6 will make us very hard to catch.

St Johnstone v Dundee Utd
Half-time 0-0 Hope they're kicking lumps out each other, and the score stays at 0-0.
