  1. Isn't it time the board put out a statement regards how many were on their short list, and how many of these were contacted - either directly, or via an agent.... :symbol_question: All the animosity coming from this stems from the fact that many supporters believe Brewster was the only one in the frame.... Why can't the board make some attempt to answer these supporters' concerns especially as so many are talking of withdrawing support.... :018:
  2. Where have you been..? Brewster was appointed manager last night in the Marriot around 9pm. The Lennon story was a smokescreen dreamed up by the board to create the illusion that other candidates were in the frame..... :rolleyes02:
  3. The hard fact remains that we got a few decent results thanks to Brewster the player - not Brewster the manager in the dugout..... This was never better demonstrated than when he went to DUFC and broke his leg in his first appearance for them.... From that moment on, Charlie Bannerman - yes - he did become a bad manager overnight.... There have been many examples over the years of players, most notably Kenny Dalglish, who was a brilliant player/manager, but a lousy manager.... For me Brewster is in that catagory..... He might score the odd useful goal for us in the short term, but our long term prospects do not look very promising at all to say the least....
  4. That is exactly what was said.....
  5. Wonder if L_G's picked up any Brewster supporters in her taxi..... :024:
  6. Suppose you don't have any options other than to stick up for a fellow Dundonian.... :023:
  7. Who will he leave out to accommodate his own over-inflated ego?
  8. Don't worry, IHE.... A delegation of ICT fans are heading down the M6 tomorrow to take in Chorley FC's mouth watering fixture with Rossendale Utd... Will catch up with you there - in the standing area..... :023:
  9. Alleggidddlly..... They did speak to Neil Lennon's agent - He's not much of a defender though, and neither is Lennon.... :023:
  10. I would strongly urge messrs Savage and Bennett to answer that fairly straightforward question... :024:
  11. Charles : It is not all about pro Warnock hysteria... Coyle or even Stephen Pressley, currently doing his coaching badges at Largs, would have been greatly preferred to Brewster, thanks mainly to whom, we no longer have Darren Dods playing for us.
  12. :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03:
  13. Well....... I don't think that would do any harm.... :014: Although I'd hate to see you change the habits of a lifetime.... :023:
  14. [LINK] "He is under consideration like everyone else, but at the end of the day the club is a success, we have again made a profit this year, we have maintained SPL status, so we will have to look at wage demands and any baggage that comes with someone." Alan Savage talking about Warnock.
  15. My feelings...? A mixture of nausia and utter despondency... :008: :009: :019:
  16. Read Scotty's post above.... You and I must have been at different meetings....
  17. The fact that the board couldn't even be ersed to contact Warnock is irresponsible and utterly reprehensible - It's becoming more & more obvious that Brewster was their choice as soon as CC handed in his notice It would appear there was no one else even on their shortlist and no one else was interviewed.... What kind of way is that to run a business?
  18. Can hardly wait for the press conference on Monday when Brewster will be officially revealed as the new manager - the sight of him holding a Caley scarf aloft and proclaiming this was the only club he ever really wanted to play for/manage etc, etc... Excuse me - I think I'm going to be sick..... :008:
  19. I have to confess I was a little disappointed at that meeting on Wednesday night at the manner in which our chairman muttered and mumbled his way through it, without actually saying anything much at all..... :009:
  20. He'd be afraid of the backlash if Darren Dods and his old mates give us a real doing tomorrow....
  21. Totally agree......
  22. Presumably part of the thinking was he might have helped our defensive problems....
  23. And having had a decent break he makes it perfectly clear that living and working in Inverness is something that would have held a lot of appeal for him... (unlike various others) He would have had some idea of the money that would have been offered in this situation... That was clearly not going to a deciding factor.... I still can't believe our board have ignored this guy..... :024:
  24. The one and only thing Bennett made clear on Tuesday night was that Donald would be remaining at the club, no matter who was appointed.... Presumably Brewster let it be known early on that he would have no problem working with him..... To me that is just about the only positive note in this whole saga.....
  25. Brewster will have been forced to accept that Donald will be his Number 2....
