  1. We could beat the likes of Motherwell & St Mirren away from home this time last season - even Rangers, FFS....
  2. I agree with all that, but at the risk of stating the bleedin' obvious, we should have been making plans to replace him when we became aware in January 2007, that he was definitely going at the end of last season.... Be nice to see him again next Saturday..... :023:
  3. Strangely I was thinking about CB too - believe it or not he is currently in talks with Aberdeen with a view to extending his contract... 41 in December - nearly as old as the Immortal Howden Ender.... :crazy07:
  4. Herewith a list of people that need to get out more...... :014: Scotty - 49d 46m CaleyD - 43d 1h 58m themann4thejob - 34d 22h 35m Harry Chibber - 23d 14h 5m Johnboy - 19d 2h 47m Libero - 18d 6h 6m Mee - 17d 12h 59m kencar - 16d 1h 58m Heilandee - 15d 20h 29m <------- Which team does he support again!!!! L_G - 15d 6h 32m
  5. The goal looked very impressive on TV..... I wouldn't get tired of watching one or two of these, week in, week out.... We don't have too many options other than to persevere with Niculae, but it does sound like he needs a kick up the erse to get his fitness level up....
  6. It's not just Dods' abilty as a player that is sorely missed, it's the fact that he totally dominated and marshalled his defence - you could hear him shouting at his team-mates from the stand - all that seems to have gone now - the whole team is lacking any kind of discernable shape or cohesion. The pathetic thing about all this is we have known for 7 months that Dods was on his way.... Somebody should have been being groomed to take over, or someone should have been targetted for transfer as a suitable replacement. I've always been a big supporter of CC, and I'm quite sure he was fully aware what Dods brought to the team - Did he do enough to persuade those around him of the importance of finding a suitable replacement?
  7. Ach c'mon Rig - Granty and his long throws have become an institution around here.... You can sense the tension and anticipation every time we win a throw in our opponents half.... :014: :023:
  8. dods left us in january johnboy, or at least we knew he was going the clue to who is to blame is in your first line, at bennet to it You're absolutely right, Clacher - It's not as if Dods suddenly left us in the lurch without any warning.... Were the management not aware of his contribution to the team?
  9. And the lack of goals?? :024:
  10. Yeah - 11th would be ok.... In fact right now that looks like being a pretty realistic target...:rolleyes02:
  11. I'm quite sure that CC & Donald will see us through this crisis... What's to blame for the poor results? The fact that there was no one brought in to replace Darren Dods...
  12. We haven't had any feckin summer this year so far :024:
  13. This is going to be backs to the wall stuff with an eye for a chance to hit them on the break.... That tactic has worked pretty well for ICT the past, but they'll need to work their socks off to get some kind of a result..... A defeat here doesn't bear thinking about - but surely they have the personnel and the professionalism (and sufficient motivation) to avoid that.
  14. An abundance of talent...?? :024:
  15. Congratulations Buffy..... ignore TMJ4... weird sense of humour... I lived in Dunfermline for 25 happy years.... mainly in Coadys, Sinkys, the Postgate, Montys, Somewhere Else, PJ Molloys, Porkys, The Old Inn, Caspers, the Creepy Wee pub, ( it was too) Glen Tavern, the City Hotel, Dander Inn, and many more too numerous to mention.... I've still got a soft spot for the Pars - but I also believe you should support your local team - especially when they're in the SPL and the Pars aren't...!!
  16. :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015:
  17. That reminds me of one I heard recently on BBC Radio 4.... We would like to apologise to listeners in Scotland for a half-hour break in our transmission. We hope it didn't spoil your enjoyment of "30 minute theatre"..... :tic01:
  18. Well he certainly wasn't inadequate - Just ask his ex-wife Winnie - She was spotted on many occassions sliding up and down Nelson's Column..... :023:
  19. And if he doesn't get all three points...??
  20. Anything less than 3 points will certainly be deemed a total failure by many of the posters on here - I just wonder who'll be singled out for the treatment this week..... There won't be any easy fixtures in this league this season.... Points picked up away from home will always be welcome... A point from St Mirren will be a better resut for us than it will be for them.... TF Dargo won't be facing us in this one.... :018:
  21. Eck will wipe the floor with wee Jimmy Kranky...... :022:
  22. Tactics will surely be to defend in depth, but always alert enough to hit them on the break, hopefully making good use of Hart, who did enough last week to start in this one..... It's imperative we don't loose a goal here - a draw wouldn't be such a bad result. Bayne up front - with Niculae just behind him... assuming both are fully fit.
  23. Or in his lunch-box :014:
  24. Colemanballs D-B-S..? Here's a few more.... Motson : When he (the Chelsea goalkeeper) learns to speak English, he'll be the best keeper in the country.... Because of the booking I will miss the Holland game - if selected - Paul Gascoine Commentator : So at the end of the day why do you think Arsenal won? George Graham : Because we scored 2 goals and they scored 1... Winning doesn't really matter as long as you win... Vinny Jones It was a terrible challenge - could have decapitated both his legs.... Colin Gibson A brain scan has revealed that Caddick is not suffering from a fractured shin... Jo Sheldon Even one goal would be enough to break the deadlock... Alan Parry We always consider a point dropped at home is a point dropped... Walter Smith Jim Rosenthall : So what's an American doing playing in goal for Millwall? American Goalie : I'm just trying to keep the ball out. He had no alternative but to make a needless tackle... Paul Elliot A late consolation goal from Middlesbrough - but they won't take any consolation from it.... Ray Stubbs I've played against him a few times... He's a very tough kettle of fish.... Kenny Dalglish
  25. Or Mothersmell :019:
