  1. People like you never do, do they..? :016:
  2. Great posts, CaleyD & Scotty..... To TinCanFan.... Do you really want to see another jumped up a$$hole like Tony Blair taking us into another unnecessary & costly war at the behest of another power crazed US administrator like GWB? That is the principal reason why the SNP currently enjoy such unprecedented levels of support.... If and when, and up until the UK Government admits that Iraq was just about the biggest mistake any government has ever made, I will continue to give the SNP all the support I can possibly muster.....
  3. Sorry Rig.... I had to take cognisance of my email inbox full to overflowing with messages registering shock & disbelief... Also my PM box on here, and my mobile phone choked up completely.... Thanks for your concern all the same...... Thanks also to Clacher & Mee for all that support and counselling..... :022:
  4. Oh I'm quite sure that CC, his family and friends will have much better things to do than read all the inane drivel that appears on here.... Thinking of which..... I'm wondering if you shouldn't be considering a loan to some other website with a much lower profile than this one. Many of your recent posts have lacked that sparkle and authoritive air, with which they once enhanced the overall quality on this site. Perhaps a loan period of un-specified duration, might help you re-discover and re-build your confidence, and maybe even one day earn a you a recall to CaleYThistleOnline... :014:
  5. It is interesting that it's just a 1 year extension. Obviously not just me that's thinking this season is going to be a make or break one for CC.... :024:
  6. Well said.... :022:
  7. An 1000% improvement on any time we've been there bar the game game, I think. :021: The support this Saturday should be good too :001: Just as long as they don't turn on them if things don't go too well...... :018:
  8. Thank phuq somebody is.... :clapping03:
  9. As an SNP supporter I'm against a referendum right now because I suspect the result would be a resounding "NO" which would be a major setback for a future independent Scotland. I think there should be a gradual drift towards independence and would hope the SNP will have demonstrated, as a devolved administration, that they will be more than capable of governing a fully independent Scotland within the next five years..... Rome wasn't built in a day..... :018:
  10. Great news not just for Rory - but all his family & friends as well :014:
  11. I think he means St Mirren held Rangers for about 53 minutes.... :014: He's absolutely right about Dods though - our whole game was built round a solid defence which was extremely well marshalled by our former inspirational captain. Such a pity a package couldn't have been put together that might have kept both him & Dargo here... along the lines of the one that managed to attract Nicolae.... :024: This will be my last word on this subject..... No... I'm sorry - My mind is made up this time.....
  12. Teammates disagreeing is not necessarily a bad thing, IHE... I remember - back in Aberdeen's hey-day Willie Miller and Alex McLeish punching lumps out of each other after they conceeded a careless goal... When they came off at half-time Fergie patted them both on the back, and told them that was the kind of spirit he wanted to see in his team.... But on more serious note - and this is a subject you know more about than I do - Don't you think that abuse from so-called supporters, whether from the stands or from this website, affects the players? Is there not a danger that some of these guys could become traumatised and finish up as serial killers? I just hope and pray our support doesn't turn again Rossco en-masse... The possible outcome just doesn't bear thinking about... Anyway this will be my final word on this subject....
  13. Painfully bleedin obvious wot's wrong with this team... I'm surprised IHE, with all his professional expertise can't see it.... The morale of a team can sink like a stone when individual members of the team are routinely labelled as "sh!te" or "pi$h" or "cr@p" or even "not fit to wear a Caley shirt" Airing such comments from the stands is bad enough - that's been part of the game for a long time now - But to actually take the trouble to publish them on a website is reprehensible.... This will be the last post from me on this, or any other matter.... :blah01: Ps... It upsets their families and friends as well...
  14. 2899..? That's a lot of words of wisdom..... :014: 2900 now.
  15. Ok... Apart from that last one in which I was merely responding to public demand.....
  16. FAO : Immortal Howden Ender : What the sensitive one was trying to say is that it is all too easy (and very cowardly) to hide behind an anonymous pseudonym and direct as much bile and filth as you like towards anyone who, when taking to a football field, delivers a performance which falls somewhat short of being wholly satisfactory. He, (the sensitive one) was also trying to make the point that had McAllister been black, gay or Jewish, such remarks would have attracted the swift attentions of the Scottish Gestapo. The posters would have been traced and subjected to the full might of the law. As a white heterosexual male poor Rory hasn't stood a chance in this case. The sensitive one is however, grateful to the Immortal Howden Ender for not joining in the witchhunt - and instead choosing to vent his spleen on the tactical genius who sent young Rory out there in the first place. He is of course, absolutely right to suggest that the sensitive one's opinions are always correct and should never be questioned or challenged.. Finally regarding the assertion that the sensitive one approves of "making love, not war" and "loving our neighbours" is scurrilous nonsense... Just ask Kate at Number 31.....
  17. Ok... This will be my final comment on this subject or anything else on this site... Forget about Rory for a moment... What about his parents, his grandparents, other family members, relations, friends and neighbours and all others who take a keen interest in ICT because they know the lad. After all your sanctamonious comments on racism and sectarianism you can somehow deem it acceptable for that young lad to be described as "pish", "gash", "not fit to wear a Caley Shirt" etc, etc, etc, etc, on your website. Do you sincerely and seriously believe that allowing such comments to spew forth with such venom does anyone any one any good at all? How would you react if someone publicly described your work in such terms? I rather suspect you wouldn't like it. How do think your family would feel about it? Your excuse that you will not shut down this thread as you will run the risk of receiving a ****load of emails crying foul or censorship is utterly pathetic. I hope you might consider these comments - if only for a few moments, but I very much doubt that you will.
  18. Good one Alex - I totally agree... :022: Can we draw a line under this one now? Scotty..?
  19. I wasn't wanting to get drawn into this but it bothers me that so many are slagging off a 20 year old kid, who clearly has considerable potential. Hopefully his time will come, but it's certainly painfully obvious he's not yet ready to be on from the start of a high profile game, such as on Saturday.... I just can't, for the life of me see how all this adverse criticism on here, and the reaction from several supporters on Saturday can do his confidence any good at all. The whole team (apart from Fraser) was very poor on Saturday they should be criticised as a team - singling out that poor guy who was left on his own up front to face up to some of the finest defenders currently playing in the SPL was surely asking far too much from such a young and inexperienced player.
  20. C'mon Scotty, C'mon CaleyD... We've got nearly 3 fekin pages on this now - all saying more or less the same fekin thing.... :020: You were very quick enough to shut down "midfielder in court" which was actually generating some original and humorous comments... :023: Did you consider that thread was degenerating into some kind of a witch hunt? If it was, it pales into insignificance compared to this one.... :018:
  21. Ach - Yer all being a tad harsh here.... I thought he looked really lively when he came on on Saturday - Ok... so he didn't achieve much - but he certainly looked very lively.... :014: :rolleyes02: :014:
  22. Kingsmills might know somebody.... :023:
  23. It's virtually the same thing.... and it is certainly equally offensive.....
  24. Thanks for pulling it off, IHE..... You're very good at that... :023:
  25. I would be much happier to see him (Rossco) in central defence and coming forward for set pieces....
