  1. I think part of the problem is that the equipment is being operated by a person or persons who obviously haven't a clue about PA. From my corner in the main stand is sounded like the volume was set at a level the speakers just couldn't cope with. The end product was a distorted mess - it was very hard to make out a single word that was being said.
  2. I didn't think these two contributed much this afternoon. Correction.... I don't think they contributed anything this afternoon.
  3. Esson McCann Tokey Munro Gillet Duncan Cox Hayes Odhiambo Foran Rooney Subs : Tuffey, Proctor, Sutherland, Ross, McBain
  4. your fans were great, sung their hearts out and looked like they really enjoyed themselves. Made more noise than ive heard from an away support in a long time. Puts a lot of travelling SPL teams supporters to shame thanks ! You see: We didn't lie :_thumbup: Yeah.... Thanks for creating an atmosphere - it actually sounded more like 5000 fans than 150. You could see what it meant to your players as well. lessons to be learned here, methinks.
  5. What utter nonsense!! I take it you've never seen Foran and Hayes playing before? These guys are very talented players. They are the types of player who will win matches for their team irrespective of their "match fitness". If TB leaves these two out for the Celtic game, citing lack of match fitness as a reason, then he's a bl0ody idiot. Foran took precisely 60 seconds today to blast the lack of match fitness theory right out the window. Jonny Hayes is also more than capable of doing the exact same thing.
  6. Just back. Yes it did take Foran a full 60 seconds to find his feet and make an impression on this game. Poor guy is clearly woefully short of match fitness. :_shocked2:
  7. No matter how you shake your peg..... The last drip aye runs down your leg.
  8. Interesting reading...
  9. Interesting. Similar to the system that Argentina played in the World Cup. It can only work for us if we have a genuine playmaker to link between the defensive midfielders and the strikers. I haven't seen Blumenshtein so i don't know if he's that type of player. I think you might be in for a wee bit of a disappointment when you do get to see him....
  10. I believe Munro's ruled out for this one with his foot injury.
  11. Good that it's a home tie.

  13. On my bedside cabinet at the moment is "50 People who buggered up Britain" by journalist Quentin Letts. This is great stuff, and very few escape Letts wrath. The 50 include Tony Blair, Cherie Blair, Gordon Brown, Alistair Campbell, Margaret Thatcher, Princess Diana, John McEnroe and even dear old Alex Ferguson who he describes as a man who can make the simple act of chewing gum appear aggressive.
  14. I believe he and his wife split up shortly after that.
  15. I'd have Bobby Mann back in central defence for the same reasons as you've gone for Paul Cherry.
  16. Sorry.... I haven't actually got any of these. I'm just curious to see how Google ads will respond to this thread, given that almost every page on this forum, carried an ad for Cannon ink cartriges as a result of a previous post of mine in this section.
  17. So.... Are you saying that if they don't have any match practice between now and the 14th August they shouldn't be considered for the Celtic game? I was brought up in an era, and you probably were too, of players like Law, Best, Baxter, Henderson, Jimmy Johnstone, etc, etc... As far as these guys were concerned match fitness never entered the equation... If they could run for a few yards with the ball at their feet, they were in the team, and that was that. Might be unfair to compare Foran and Hayes, with say - Law and Johnstone, but they are still the kinds of players that can win matches for their team. Remember that scissor kick goal of Foran's in the 90th minute of a crucial game last season.... So crucial that I've forgotten who it was now! Naah.... You cant leave guys like that out the team in such an important game, just because they are short of match practice. I'd be interested to hear what others think.
  18. Managed to sell my dickie cartridge to an unsuspecting punter for 3 pints of Trade Winds. Thread can be closed now.
  19. A blo0dy good wind up, too!!
  20. Even if nether of them kick a ball in the two friendlies, I'll be more than happy to see them line up against Celtic. They may very well be lacking match fitness, but assuming they are both physically fit, they will still give Celtic plenty to worry about. Their natural ability will see to that.
  21. If you're getting a "no signal is being received" message it could be a dish/lnb fault, but as DC says make sure all the connecting leads are pushed fully home. If all these checks fail give Heilandee a call.
  22. Bought from Tescos in error at ?17.99 and is un-used. Johnboy's price - ?10
  23. This one looks pretty cute....
  24. I would have thought they would have found a nicer place in Inverness to stay than that.
