Terry Butcher
You're absolutely right, Renegade.... but hopefully he's learned the hard way from his mistakes, and hopefully he's now getting the hang of this team management business. I think for the moment - well at least for the next 3 games - we should give him all the encouragement we can muster.

Savage News for Highland Council
It is an ambitious rescue package which could involve Robbo and Bazza Wilson. But surely this would be good time to invest in ICT?

Can't believe this is still being earnestly debated. I still like my scenario the best : That we go into the final game of the season with Dee needing to beat us by 18 clear goals to lift the title. Now that would be my idea of a nice relaxing afternoon at the football. :D- 1st Div P.O.Y.

There's no need for us to explore this site, when we know we can count on you to come on here, and explain anything we might not be too sure about!- Terry Butcher
Correct.... We've all loved him from the moment he arrived here. No one doubted his ability for one minute.- League reconstruction?
That will never happen. Maybe you're not old enough to remember when a certain Wallace Mercer attempted to merge Hearts with Hibs.- Missing the SPL?
Yes, partly that and the fact we have got ourselves into poll position. I don't altogether agree with those who are saying we won't do anything in the SPL. With the attitude in our camp at the moment, and assuming the nucleous of the squad stays with us, I'll be very interested to see just how far we can go in the SPL. Could be exciting times ahead.- Missing the SPL?
I was gutted when we got relegated last season, and with guys like Black, Cowie and Mihadjuks moving on, I wasn't looking forward to Div 1. My fears were pretty well realised during the first half the season, but what's happened since then has been amazing. Guys like Foran and Hayes, and Rooney all coming good at the same time, have totally transformed things for us. I wasn't impressed either when Golabeck came in to replace Hastings, but I certainly got that one wrong - Golly's playing the best football of his career right now.... But.... I digress... Yes, I'm looking forward to being back in the SPL and seeing teams like Hearts and Hibs again, but in terms of sheer enjoyment, and better value for money, I've really enjoyed this season in Div 1. Season 2009/10 has also convinced me that league reconstruction should be under serious consideration right now.- Bulivitis
- League reconstruction?
The teams in the SPL would never go for a 16 team league as they would lose 8 games, even an enhanced league cup would never cover that as the attendances in them would be poor, even if it was regionalised, remember we played County in the semi final of the challenge cup and the crowd was below 3,000 No, I agree with Harry... A premier league of 16 and a Div 1 of 16, with the bottom two SPL teams playing off for promotion and relegation with the top two Div 1 sides. The idea of a regional league cup, with a group stage is a good one, and it would allow the OF more games against each other. Forget about the Challenge Cup - that was organised by a bunch of Neanderthals who can't even speak English.- Getting lost in the maths
The final game of the season would be interesting if Dundee were 3 points behind us going into the game and needed to win by something like 18 goals to lift the title. It would be a nail-biting afternoon, but I think our lads would be able to handle it!- Getting lost in the maths
Well done Morton, tonight.... I'd fancy them to take two points off Dundee on Saturday - maybe even 3. The party could yet begin at 4.50pm Saturday at TCS. It's starting to look like a distinct possibility!!- Morton v County
I was delighted for County when they beat Celtic, but hey.... this is good too!- Getting lost in the maths
County's just dropped two points at Morton, so they are effectively out of the race!!- [merged] Supporters Club Buses
Whatttt? You'll be wanting them to organise a pie stall next....- Getting lost in the maths
county due to drop 2 as it is but surely if dundee drop 3 and lose then the title is safe? Absolutely.... The celebrations could start straight after the Pars game.- Getting lost in the maths
If County drop two points tonight (at Morton) and Dundee drop two points on Saturday, a win against the Pars virtually clinches it, thanks to our GD.- Morton v County
I recognise that camera angle! Pity it's such a one-sided view of things.- Morton v County
So if County drop two points tonight, and Dundee drop two on Saturday, we could be celebrating against the Pars?- Team for Dunfermline
Yeap.... I'd go with that - with Foran captain for the day. Unfortunately TB will probably pick Stratford for Sanchez. - Getting lost in the maths
