  1. Sorry Rene... TB and MM are a team who go together like Morecambe and Wise, or Burke & Hare.... We shouldn't attempt to split them up. No place in your team for Cowie, Rankin or Black?
  2. In view of what the team's just achieved and the manner in how it was achieved, can't we just enjoy these moments for a few weeks and give the club/board/DoF/management a wee rest?
  3. Was the golden handshake/lump sum/index linked pension to much for you to turn down?
  4. Wouldn't write them off just yet . If United play as badly in the cup final as they did today, I'd put money on County lifting the cup....
  5. About half way through the season when we were sitting uncomfortably in the bottom half of the Div 1 table, I posted something to the effect that TB's appointment of manager was proving to be, not only a huge gamble by the club/ board, but one that could end up having dire consequences, and even threaten the very survival of the club. I do apologise - I couldn't have been more wrong! What TB has achieved in 4 short months is just unbelievable. Bringing in Foran, Hayes and Cox, and perservering with Adam Rooney up front, has proved to be a masterstroke which couldn't have worked out any better. Add to that replacing Hastings with Golabeck, and turning Ross Tokely into a very solid, dependable centre back has now turned ICT into something very special. Reliable contributions too, from guys like Esson, Munro, Duncan, Proctor, McBain and Odhiambo also deserve a special mention for enhancing the spirit that goes right through the entire squad. The departure of guys like Black, Rankine and Cowie have now become a distant memory. I am fairly confident that TB will influence most, if not all of those who's contracts are about to expire, to sign up for at least 1 more season. During ICT's previous tenure in the SPL they were often credited as being a hard team to beat. With the present squad, combined with the re-assuring guidance of TB and MM, I reckon you ain't seen nothing yet! Roll on next season. It will be very interesting to see just how far TB's ICT will go in the SPL. Now, pass me over another slice of that humble pie.
  6. You gonna wear one at the Dee game, MrsICTFC? I like the yellow ones best....
  7. I'm just hoping there won't be any reprisals from the SFL.
  8. The lunatics take over the asylum?
  9. Not pretty? It was almost the prettiest goal I've ever seen at TCS.... and it was arguably the most significant. It certainly typified the "never say die" spirit that goes right through the whole squad now. I'd go as far as to describe that one as The Goal of the Season!
  10. HT: 0-1 FT: 2-1 1st Scorer ICT: Odhiambo 1st Scorer Opp: McManus Crowd: 2,200
  11. They've still got a dud manager and half hearted players.... about 30 of them in fact. There will be a mass clear out any day now.
  12. I would think that will be a matter for the owners of the stadium.
  13. Shurely shome mishtake.
  14. About 9.50pm last night....
  15. Good spot, DC.... Very interesting and encouraging read.
  16. Sorry what? :015: You had to wait half-an-hour for that. ;)
  17. Yeah.... the offishal site's gone totally overboard tonight!
  18. Billy Dodds.... :D
  19. Yeah.... Big ditto to all that from Johnboy.... GREAT STUFF!!!! If TB can keep the current squad intact I say they'll do very well in the SPL. I just can't wait. WELL DONE GUYS!!!! :D
  20. Esson Proctor Tokely Munro McBain Duncan Cox Hayes Odhiambo Foran Rooney
  21. Astonishing just how often a little "t.i.c." humour goes right over your head!
  22. :D :D :D :music03: :D :D :D
  23. Div1 has provided some great entertainment this season, and for me represents much better value for money than the SPL. Now that we're more or less back in the top flight we should be arguing the case for league reconstruction as strongly as we possibly can. County, Dundee, Raith Rovers, Dunfermline or QoS should all be there too.
  24. Still up to your old tricks, I see.... :D (A few days ago CD hacked his way into my profile and added his name to my list of "friends". Thank goodness Birdog alerted me, and told me what he'd done!)
  25. Roy never started a game after the Falkirk debacle at the end of last season. After Tokely got sent off, he was subbed, as part of a team re-organisation. He was justifiably angry about that.... in fact down-right bloody well raging... A little bird told me he and TB have hardly been on speaking terms ever since that day. As I've said on various other posts at various times, TB appears to be learning from his mistakes. Unfortunately he doesn't always strike me as being a very quick learner..... but still, he has got us back to the SPL.
