  1. So.... If I understand this correctly : A potential football viewing audience of around 200,000 will have their enjoyment of this TV spectacle seriously curtailed just so as your kids' homework might become a little less tedious.
  2. Bit neg JB. Glad the game is on and available to those who ant to watch it. To be honest, I quite often watch with the commentary off anyway as it can be nauseating at times! For the record, there are two wee Gaelic speaking boys in my house who are dead keen to watch it but just wish it was our game. Surely the two Gaelic speaking boys in your house would enjoy watching the match just as much with a commentary in English?
  3. Isn't it great for all these Dundee/QoS fans who are unable to get to Dundee tonight, but who will be able to watch the events unfold as they happen, live on Alba TV? Of course the commentary, expert analysis, etc, will all be in the Gaelic, but I'm quite sure this will only enhance this extra special event - especially for all these in and around Dundee and Dumfries who's native tongue is the Gaelic, and who never got round to learning the English language, or even understanding our culture. Seriously..... I accept that minority interests should be taken into consideration by the BBC, but this is just plain, feckin rdiculous. Sorry Alex.
  4. I had camel once..... It didn't half give me the hump. :D
  5. It's a well known fact that you'll seldom see cats hovering around Chinese restaurants... Talking of dogs and cats I came across this recently which I tried to post, but it disappeared... I'll try again. Which do you prefer? Dogs or cats? Cats everytime for me, far more .......... Johnboy, it was reviewed by the mods and then reinstated asking you to post a link rather than the cut'n paste, cheers
  6. I disagree about a sudden change of fortunes for Dundee.... Chisholm could very well be a decent long term appointment - time will tell - I just don't see him as one of these charismatic guys who can bring about instant success. I think about half of the Dundee support might agree with me on that.
  7. Is it not a wee bit odd that this site has gone very quiet on the eve of a set of fixtures that could see ICT move to the top of Div1? I think there is a very good chance that QoS will take something from their match with Dundee, and that we will overcome Airdrie, hopefully with something to spare. Why is no one saying anything or speculating on tomorrow night's fixtures? Scared of tempting fate?
  8. You mustn't get paranoid over this, Ren?, I can distinctly recall him commenting on your posts, and saying that he loved reading your team selections because they always made him laff.... :D
  9. I've solved my dilemma! Going along to TCS tomorrow night, but will sit in deserted corner of the main stand, with an MP3 stuck in my ear, to blot out half time/full time score announcements, etc.... Meantime I will have set Sky+ to record the Dee/QoS game on the Swahili channel. Then it will be a case of driving home, with the radio off, and then sitting back with 6 pack, to watch the excitement unfold on TV, not even knowing if ICT are already top of the league. Should be good night!
  10. QoS have a new manager too!
  11. A win for us tomorrow night (Tuesday) and defeat for Dundee and we'll be sitting proudly at the top of the league. A win for QoS might sound a tad optimistic, but I believe their players will be very anxious to put one over on the guy that's just walked out on them. Beginning to believe!!
  12. I can make it to the Caley game, but I'm inclined to think the Dee/QoS game could be much more interesting. Anyone else struggling with this dilemma?
  13. Horses for courses, mate, but I think we'll see a more attack minded formation for this one.... Are you still sticking with your selection (top of the thread) in light of the news that Duncan and Gollabeck are availabe for selection?
  14. JB NOTHING will EVER meet with the approval of all on that board, GAURENTEED :021: Hope these rumblings of discontent won't be transmitted to your new management team and of course, to your players on Tuesday night!
  15. This appointment doesn't appear to have met with unanimous approval on the Dundee FC site : See here.
  16. Naah.... The sound boys will cut these out, unless they're in Gaelic!
  17. How do you think the QoS boys will feel about this one, H/Dee? I thinking it could be a nail biting game for you on Tuesday night. Collecting bets too soon? Naah.... Lightning never strikes twice in the same place.
  18. I was planning to go and watch us on Tuesday night, and I know I should....but somehow this is going to be a very intriguing encounter. A win for us, and a draw or defeat for Dundee on Tuesday, will set us up very nicely.
  19. An adventurous 4-4-2 for me, for this one.... Esson Proctor - Tokely - Munro - Golly Hayes - Duncan - Cox - Foran Rooney - Odhiambo Subs : Allison, Ross, McBain, Sanchez, Eagle.
  20. No reaction from H/Dee on this appointment yet? Maybe he's popped out to get me my bottle of Glenfarclas.
  21. Now that Brannigan's been promoted should bring the merry-go-round to a halt. I had visions of McCall going to QoS, Jim McIntyre to Partick, and the two Jimmys going back to Dunfermline.
  22. Good luck to him - I hope he gets his team off to a winning start.
  23. Just announced on Radio Scotland Chisholm and Dodds.... I hope QoS knock the stuffing out them on Tuesday.... Might just watch this on Alba TV now.
  24. Great idea, nick your opponents manager 48 hours before you play them to keep your title hopes alive! That could backfire on them - Bigtime.
  25. I still think it will be McCall.... The only appointment I wouldn't like to see would be the two Jimmys.
